I've been looking up the historical evolution of the Arabic dialect and there is so many problems. Additional dots and vowels (namta,tha,ba,ya,damma,kasra,fatha) where added in the 8th century coincidently to make sense of the different Qurans that emerged after the canonized Quran in Uthmans time mid 6th Century. Interestingly enough with the added dots and vowels you can basically make up a word on the spot hahahah. Like playing scrabble.

I agree with your point that not everything written by men contains contradictions. But I can also make the argument that God also doesn't make contradictions and the Bible has a lot of contradictions while the Qur'ān has none. This is because the Bible is obviously not the word of God. So before saying the Qur'ān contains many errors, look at your own text. Now a book without contradictions may not sound very impressive, especially to a non-Muslim, until you realize that the Qur'ān has been preserved since the lifetime of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as billions have it memorized and the fact that it contains many scientific miracles, which couldn't have possibly be known to anyone at the time, especially not someone like Muhammad (PBUH) seeing as he was an uneducated man who couldn't read or write. We also do not believe the Qur'ān miraculously came down from the sky. We believe it was written by men but it's the words of God. Get your facts checked.

You raise a great point about the increase of people following Islam in the UK. When the census first came out, I ran through the numbers by country on where immigration was coming from, adding up the numbers from Muslim majority countries and those with significant minorities of Muslims (like India). When I compared them to the number of extra Muslims on the latest census compared to the previous one, at least 90% (maybe as high as 95%) of the increase was from immigration. Throw in the on average higher birth rate amongst Muslim immigrants compared to the rest of the UK population, you are pushing up to the 99% mark. The idea that there is a wave of conversions to Islam in the UK is laughable.

I didn't really pay attention to the arguments against Syfe's reasoning for Christianity decreasing in numbers, simply because it doesn't concern me, but I find it funny that he goes on to say that the Quran has contradiction/is wrong because he can't understand it. Obviously, he doesn't know that because he is ignorant and it wouldn't fit his narrative, and "Alif Lam Ra" doesn't suddenly then negate the quran being clear xD Not to mention, the different readings may show multiple layers of meaning within one verse in different recitations, but it still doesn't show contradiction. In the example provided, Maliki/Malik, it's not a contradiction as Allah can be the King of the Day of Judgement and the Owner of the day of Judgement, the same way I can be the King of the Palace and the Owner at the same time. These different readings, just add an extra layer of meaning. Also, you should understand why these differences exist, and I'd recommend you watch some of these videos on it. That applies to other areas like Manchester or Birmingham, these are major centres which influence the UK's economy and culture so Muslims becoming a significant proportion of that is a big deal to the country after all. -Relating to the first point, Cities are genuiely centres or concentrations of civilization and of populations, it takes how many towns to meet the population or influence that London holds over the UK? -When anyone thinks of the UK, its usually London or even Manchester or Birmingham or other areas of major importance, meaning this will affect how the country is viewed. No one will think of the UK nor would they have a strong idea of it when you mention Norwich or Brighton or Kent, however mentioning London or maybe even Manchester will give them a strong Idea of the UK so cities actually affect the countries image therefore increase of Muslim proportion in London could influence the outlook of the UK as a whole. -Your a christian, no? If you do lectures you will note that you do variants of the lectures, dependent on recent events, the audience or just improving the lecture as you go along. I've been looking up the historical evolution of the Arabic dialect and there is so many problems. Additional dots and vowels (namta,tha,ba,ya,damma,kasra,fatha) where added in the 8th century coincidently to make sense of the different Qurans that emerged after the canonized Quran in Uthmans time mid 6th Century. Interestingly enough with the added dots and vowels you can basically make up a word on the spot hahahah. Like playing scrabble.

I agree with your point that not everything written by men contains contradictions. But I can also make the argument that God also doesn't make contradictions and the Bible has a lot of contradictions while the Qur'ān has none. This is because the Bible is obviously not the word of God. So before saying the Qur'ān contains many errors, look at your own text. Now a book without contradictions may not sound very impressive, especially to a non-Muslim, until you realize that the Qur'ān has been preserved since the lifetime of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as billions have it memorized and the fact that it contains many scientific miracles, which couldn't have possibly be known to anyone at the time, especially not someone like Muhammad (PBUH) seeing as he was an uneducated man who couldn't read or write. We also do not believe the Qur'ān miraculously came down from the sky. We believe it was written by men but it's the words of God. Get your facts checked.

You raise a great point about the increase of people following Islam in the UK. When the census first came out, I ran through the numbers by country on where immigration was coming from, adding up the numbers from Muslim majority countries and those with significant minorities of Muslims (like India). When I compared them to the number of extra Muslims on the latest census compared to the previous one, at least 90% (maybe as high as 95%) of the increase was from immigration. Throw in the on average higher birth rate amongst Muslim immigrants compared to the rest of the UK population, you are pushing up to the 99% mark. The idea that there is a wave of conversions to Islam in the UK is laughable.

Yes I agree regarding the statistics part however the noting that ''our youth are leaving Islam'' is actually wrong, depending where but for example in the Arab world back in the 60s and 70s every one was a avalanche arab nationalist and we kept religion as an integral part of our daily lifes but our nationality of arabness remained to be the most important except in some places like Saudi where the country naturally has highly religious people and is influenced by religious clerics, now seeing the failure of secularism even for the Palestinian national cause (as I am a Palestinian I would like to say) people gave up in the secular militias be them marxist and soviet armed or arab-nationalist and still soviet armed now people have faith in religious national movements like Hamas and Palestinian Jihad. Also I was told and looked at it by observation and statistics that Hijab at least in many parts of the arab world and modesty in general is making a strong return.
This ''our youth are leaving Islam'' has two meanings,
1.) is that the youth arent praciticing the religion with as much seriousness or authenticity or are using religion as a label while not commiting to it.
2.) Its a fear mongering tactic, like how when your parents hears that x causes this or that, they would try distance you away from that which was the intention of the person who said it (the person who mentioned x as a bad thing that causes this or that), regardless if the youth are actually leaving Islam, and whether or not its in large numbers.

I didn't really pay attention to the arguments against Syfe's reasoning for Christianity decreasing in numbers, simply because it doesn't concern me, but I find it funny that he goes on to say that the Quran has contradiction/is wrong because he can't understand it. Ta Ha is a name in arabic. Obviously, he doesn't know that because he is ignorant and it wouldn't fit his narrative, and "Alif Lam Ra" doesn't suddenly then negate the quran being clear xD Not to mention, the different readings may show multiple layers of meaning within one verse in different recitations, but it still doesn't show contradiction. In the example provided, Maliki/Malik, it's not a contradiction as Allah can be the King of the Day of Judgement and the Owner of the day of Judgement, the same way I can be the King of the Palace and the Owner at the same time. These different readings, just add an extra layer of meaning. Also, you should understand why these differences exist, and I'd recommend you watch some of these videos on it.

Both of you arent lying, your just taking different aspects of the truth and are squizzing to the max, like taking milk from a weak thin cow. He is right, especially when you compare the poppulation of the past and apply exponentional proportion then yeah it is technically rapidly increasing, however he doesent mention why because he wants us to think its because of conversions or some other reason he didnt say it is, but he implied it and showed evidence to back it up. He never lied, he just took one aspect of the truth and squizzed it to its max.
Now you Chris, so you adressed the actual reasons for population increase (you didnt mention relatively high birthates) but doesent matter, immigration is good enough. You also made the point that ''oh, Islam is only increasing in the large cities where there is wealth and where migrants many of whom are Muslim are attracted to therefore obviously it will increase, its no big deal though since in more than 90% of regions in the UK, there are barely 1% Muslims of total proportionality'' good point but you forgot two things that will blow your case, since your not lying your just squeezing one aspect of the truth.

-Approximetly 13% of the UKs total population is on London, so if Muslims become a larger proportion of that 13% (which is London) then it means significant growth especially for a community that is relatively new to the UK just as The Orthodox and Hindu community is. That applies to other areas like Manchester or Birmingham, these are major centres which influence the UK's economy and culture so Muslims becoming a significant proportion of that is a big deal to the country after all.
-Relating to the first point, Cities are genuiely centres or concentrations of civilization and of populations, it takes how many towns to meet the population or influence that London holds over the UK?
-When anyone thinks of the UK, its usually London or even Manchester or Birmingham or other areas of major importance, meaning this will affect how the country is viewed. No one will think of the UK nor would they have a strong idea of it when you mention Norwich or Brighton or Kent, however mentioning London or maybe even Manchester will give them a strong Idea of the UK so cities actually affect the countries image therefore increase of Muslim proportion in London could influence the outlook of the UK as a whole.
-Your a christian, no? How did christianity take over the Roman empire? it wasnt the empty countryside but it was the influential cities where ideas could be spread and heard even if they were suppressed and that applies today as cities influence the culture, image and at times the future of countries. This means that yes cities are important in reflecting and shaping the country.

Christianity had existed in Arabia for 580 years before Muhammad was born.

Also, regarding early Christians not having the Bible, there were lots of times where it was a logistical nightmare. When St. Francis was setting up his order, one of the rules was that you couldn't have books. Not for anti-intellectual reasons, but because a Bible took something like 300 sheep worth of skin to make exactly one.
