Crocodile Beats Gaara. Here's Why. (One Piece VS Naruto | Battle Analysis)

- There are many potential matchups for both Crocodile (One Piece) and Gaara (Naruto), but pitting them against each other is the best case scenario and best matchup for both characters. However, from my point of view this is an unparalleled stomp for Crocodile. You might not think so, but it is. Let me explain. To start off Gaara can’t actually hurt him, as Crocodile can simple become unhurtable sand, on top of the Suna Suna No Mi being a fundamentally better power. In fact we can just look at how their powers work.
In a battle between Devil Fruits vs Chakra Devil Fruit take the win by a long margin. Logia Devil Fruits offer a more varied power set while chakra offer only simple ability's. Devil Fruits dont have near the limit that Chakra powers do as they can not run out nor do DFs require special hand movements to use more complex skills.
Yet even beyond the fundamentals of their power is not the only advantage Crocodile has. You see, Crocodile is over 8 feet tall while Gaara is just over 5 feet, this gives a massive physical advantage to crocodile in terms of close combat range. He also has a hood that is more deadly than Gaaras hands. Not to mention that Crocodile will have more "Special Sand" avaliable to him by volume than Gaara has in his jar.
In terms of Hand to hand combat kill Crocodile is still above Gaara as he has gone hand to hand with some of the greatest fighters in the world. Characters like Mihawk and Doflamingo. On top of that Crocodile is also much older and more experienced, while even years later Gaara's experience has not grown much, mostly because a lot of Gaara’s defense is automatic and has been for years. So he has little experience actually using sand to defend himself in any meaningful way, outside his armor.
In terms of their sands precision Gaara takes the win, as he can send sand into others bodies, but Crocodile can just ignore it by turning into sand. He can also “Seal Opponents” in sand tombs, but Crocodile can just leave because he is sand
In terms of arsenal Crocodile dominates. He has a poison hook, A sharp hook, physical attack immunity and perhaps even Haki. His poison can melt stone and quickly stiffens the infected persons movement, meaning no hand signs for Gaara. His hook is a hook and is dangerous because of that fact.
Crocodile is immune to all physical attacks and that is most of what Gaara has. If he has Haki then it will allow him to predict all attacks, well in advance and strengthen his hook. he can suck the moisture out of someone, killing them, with a touch, and Gaara cant even use deception as Crocodile can detect water several Km away and can effect it to cause sinkholes.

Yes, Gaara can control ANY sand, it just gets stronger & faster when he infused his chakra. & not only that but the sand in his gourd moves on its own without Gaara even having to manipulate it

You could still argue that Croc has the better hand to hand combat by virtue of having any feats of trading hits with OP characters vs Gaara’s complete lack of taijutsu feats, but I don’t think it’s sensible to say his skill is comparable to Doffy or Mihawk.
We only see one clash for each fight without seeing what followed (Croc could have easily escaped either fight if he wanted to), and both were very likely holding back through the entire war (Doffy says to a government agent later that he doesn’t care about taking orders from the government and didn’t perform any combat feats comparable to what he did later in Dressrosa, Mihawk was established as far back as Baratie to hold back against weaker opponents).

If this is the case, even if it’s just statements about what Gaara can do as opposed to an explicit showing of taijutsu, then he should have the hand to hand advantage over Croc; Croc could get better skill feats in the coming arcs, but for now all he has is getting beat by an early Grand Line Luffy and trading one blow each with Doffy and Mihawk.
He could maintain a speed advantage and maybe be comparable in power output, but this is making the assumption that he’s comparable to a current Luffy.

No, we have seen Logia users get hit without turning into their element, and we also have a quote from Crocodile himself that he specifically trained for years to reflexibely turn into sand in response approaching to attacks, meaning he couldn't do it so quickly at first, and that means that any time a Logia user that has been hit with a fast attack that passed through them counts as dodging, and thus, a reaction speed feat.

I don't remember crocodile saying anything like that but logia df isn't an active df it's a passive one even the clothes on the user are part of the df and even if it needs to be activated consciously why wouldn't logia users Activate it the movement there is even a remote chance of battle
@@sujithsudhakaran745it’s logical to understand that logia users still need to react too covert their bodies to their respective element. Take for example the scene in alabasta when luffy came across his brother and smoker two logia types.
Not only did luffy slam into ace an action ace did not see coming so he go hit with his actual body and then slammed into smoker who also didn’t see ace flying toward him coming.
Also take into account in dressrosa when sabo fought fujitora using his fruit for the first time. When he dodged fujitora’s attack it wasn’t by practiced reflex nor an automatic response but a freak accident spooking even himself.
this isnt true, Logia users do need to choose to turn into sand, the reason Crocodile seemed so immune to surprises on Alabasta is because he could sense the movement in the sand on the floor. Granted characters like Crocodile and Ace have perfected their fruit usage so much that they kinda do it subconciously, like it doesnt happen automatically, they just wired their brains to do it without really acknowledging that they have to

@Katacurry Lucci is strong, scaling to a post wano gear 5 Luffy and being able to tank attacks for a short period and being able to keep up with him you can scale him to multi-continential.
Grimmjow and 90% of the Bleach verse are casually planet level at minimum. Grimmjow in base is atleast planel level being able to be highballed to star because of his feat of being able to destroy all of Las noches with a single gray ray beam without Pantera 😭

Crocodile can compete with Gaara at speed due to his observation haki. If Luffy post time skip was able to easily dodge multiple laser beams of a Pacifista, Crocodile wouldnt be less so he should be able to fight toe to toe with someone like Kizaru (who theoretically can move at the speed of light).
The only way Gaara could realistically win would be by sealing Croc but that seems very difficult for him to achieve.
Also its very likely that Oda will grant him the awakening of his devil fruit and this would overwhelm Gaara defenses.

Hakai and destroying all the pieces of a logia with a ki move will work. However I don't think the ki move will work on kizaru since he is light itself however hakai might work.

Accually, suprisingly enough Crocodile has the Speed Advantage since in the Marineford arc He reacted to Doflamingo and Diamond Jozu, so He should be at least relativistic, perhaps FTL. From all I know Gaara doesnt have any scaling remotely Close to that, since the closest I know was from His Battle against MS Sasuke and thereby Massively Hypersonic...

Gaara fought momoshiki who even after momo got stronger Gaara caught and even held him. Gaara is large planetary and mftl+ he stomps on top of having more then sand style

I just wanted to correct a few things and add on, first of all, Crocodile has a second power source that we get near confirmation that he has, Haki, crocodile almost certainly has armanent haki, as we see him stand up to doflamingo whilst doflamingo was using the stuff, and in one piece, the idea of armanent haki is that you have to be using it to actually fight against it effectively. Also Crocodile, unlike Gaara, can crush the rocky ground around him into sand, and control basic sand freely, Gaara must inbue sand with chakra to control any non-pot sources

I don’t recall Gaara having any feats of moving so fast that he’s able to move in stopped time, or any instances of him covering an infinite distance in finite time, so I don’t see how he would scale to infinite speed.

@@120masked3 Except Croc is not just made of sand, he can also control and generate his own sand at will. He can control the sand of his environment and if Oda manages to grant him his awakening, control the environment and weather like Aokiji and Akainu did in Punk Hazard.
Just because Gaara can control sand with his chakra doesnt mean he can surprass the control of Crocodile over his own sand by putting his chakra on it because by that logic, the nature of the devil fruit powers should grant Crocodile the capability to nullify Gaara´s control over his own sand.

Just control the entire terrain, he can create sand from the very earth itself while also just manipulating the sand crocodile morphs into because it’s an inanimate object. Crocodile has created city spanning sandstorms without trying, and now that he has advanced haki he’s even more busted.

@@Yuni_Retakesgaara will hurt him with his sand since they contain his Chakra life energy and his mother's love which are equivalent to haki. Gaara doesn't need to infuse his Chakra to sand it is always infused it is always protecting him even when he is sleeping. He only infuses sand for larger attacks and it is easy for him
