Shanks being a twin could be why he was in the box at god valley. the world nobles might have some kind of thing about twins where the younger twin is "unneeded" and gets turned into a slave or maybe it was just garland and he had no need for a 2nd heir.

Mental barriers are extremely hard to overcome. I'm unable to walk due to an accident and I had to have surgery. I have 10 screws and 2 plates in my left knee now. The pain I can handle but the mental battle to not see a dark future that's limited is so much more painful.
I've yet to cry from my pain but I cry constantly when I look at a future where I'm not able to stand for my boys who are still very young
There is always something good to look forward to. It definitely helps my mindset that I’m a Christian, but there is good in everyone’s future. I see the bad less as something outweighing it and more as a baseline. If there is no expectation for good or for bad, you can be less constantly miserable from continued disappointment or hopelessness. Life will have good and heaps of bad, but the good is what really matters.
@@josephmartin9737 thanks. That helps. A little.

that silhouette confused tf out of me. i thought it was shanks and then I realized his big mug was in the upper part already lol
I will say every time I think of IMU and the Five Elders I just think of the island Brook was sent to during the timeskip.
In that arc there were people who tried to summon the Devil with a circle that was very close in appearance to the Goroseii’s summon circles.
Everything in One Piece gets reflected and sometimes Oda will randomly make the most random things the most important foreshadowing.
I believe that with Vegapunk saying he can’t determine good and evil for the void century then it would make sense that the war started with a slight misunderstanding and continued due to it all (like how wars in real life can start over something small then spiral further into lots of tragedies).
This goes back to Brook because he was summoned as the village wanted to stop the LongArms but when they summoned Brook they asked him to punish the LongArm tribe, not just the ones that were attacking them. This is a misunderstanding and generalizing a group as it wasn’t all the LongArms wanting to cause violence but due to it being all the village saw they just wanted to attack all the LongArms and have them punished. This could have been a case for the void century as well with the kingdoms and the ancient kingdom, a misunderstanding that lead to war on both sides. One believing the entire kingdom was purposefully causing them disarray and then that following kingdom seeing these kingdoms attack them and then attack back not understanding what caused it and believing it was pure hatred/racism.
This goes back to Brook too in the timeskip because he was summoned to help them out. Now I say that this was the case for the void century. I believe IMU summoned the Elders from Hell to help them in the battle then afterwards assigned them roles to help develop his world conquering nation. Like war generals being given normal jobs after the war, but most demons disappear after their job is fulfilled but since the war isn’t over then they cannot leave just yet until it is all completed.
Not only that but I believe that IMU is silhouetted because of what he had to give up to summon the elders. He didn’t give up panties like the village with Brooke but instead had to give up specific body parts. Kind of like Dororo in concept that his body parts were taken by the Elders but it was by his decision to have this occur and they are loyal to him since the offering was made.
In my brain I believe that everything in One Piece is reflected but can be slightly different with outcomes that the person originally sought after.
Doflamingo was a successful Crocodile with the kingdom situation although different so maybe IMU was successful in summing the demons to help him

Based on their location in the final spread (the two pages are arranged symmetrically with each character on the left having a counterpart on the right) the man in the silhouette is set up as a counterpart to Garling.
Narratively, it doesn't make sense for the Man Marked by flames to be a totally new character, nor a very well established character we've already met. The former means there's no emotional resonance to the reveal (a character who we haven't met's *real* identity is...also a character we haven't met). The latter means a character we already know is retroactively revealed to be an entirely different character in terms of plot relevance and story necessity. For this reason, it makes the most sense for the Man Marked by Flames to be a character we know *of* but don't know well or personally.
I firmly believe that the silhouetted figure is both Rocks and the Man Marked by Flames. Marked by flames during the God Valley incident and Garling's final remaining enemy from the GV incident, since both Roger and the majority of the Rocks' crew is dead, and Garp is a marine (and also potentially dead). We've never confirmed Rocks is dead, and all the other characters connected to Garling (shanks, Imu, the Gorosei, Roger, the celestial dragons) are either dead, allies of Garling, or positioned opposite a totally different character on the final spread.
Loki is still unaccounted for too I guess, but he doesn't feel like a good fit for the man marked by flames since he's been described as sailing on a ship and Loki is probably firmly *in* Elbaf.
10:20
Prolly because of the same reason roger didn't use the one piece. it's for joyboy to claim
My theory is that the person is Loki the prince of the giants, the giant army would definitely be a major influence on this war, plus Joyboy was a giant so Loki definitely has a connection to Joyboy in one way or another, and that would make him possibly want to pursue the one piece
I don't know about that, but I wonder what kind of person does one have to be for Lola of all people to refuse getting married to.
You know… i have been following one piece since 2005..

Ah man I feel you're pain I started around somewhere between 1999-2002 and I love this story but there are years I'll just stop reading with the hope that Oda makes an ending at some point. Like I'm gonna be sad when it's over but it still feels like the ending isn't even in sight. We still got at least two arcs ahead (elbaf and laughtale) and even than laughtale probably isn't the end, there's gonna be an epilog.

Because it sounds like
Except that not all of these characters are wanting the One piece. Garling's goal is to beat the ass of the revs, Koby wants to become an admiral and wants to change the marine, Sabo wants to shake the world nobles. I mean those goals don't necesseraly need the one piece.
We got the Navy going after the One Piece before GTA 6.
I mean GTA is past its prime, it used to be fun. No wonder the Marines aren't going after GTA IV :P
Shanks twin with two arms? Sounds OP
i can see dragon at some point doing something in the final war which goes against luffy in some way and that being the cause of sabo not being entirely loyal
Dragon did say that Luffy was,on his own after marineford and Sabo said quite the opposite during dressrosa, that he would never let anything happen to him, that he couldn't be there for Ace, so he damn well will be there for Luffy.
@@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat but still, that doesn't mean that Dragon would ignore Luffy if he was in trouble and he could do something to help. As little as we have of Dragon, we know that he at least saved luffy back in Loguetown
Yeah, Dragon doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to keeping allies and loved ones safe, or even trying to help them at all, something that I think could really upset Sabo. Especially if it was Luffy that was being left in danger. He’s just not a ‘sacrifice the few to save the many’ type of guy
Imagine if Roger gave Ace to Shanks and Shanks lost it to his brother that defeated him early in his pirate career. If this was true imagine the plot development we'd get from our OP favorite Emperor.
This is highly unlikely as Shanks was a young boy at the time of Rogers death and there being better candidates that can take care of his child.
@@wbixuHe’s talking about Roger giving his sword,Ace to Shanks. Not Shanks having to become Ace’s caretaker
My first reaction to Devon gaining Saturn's appearance is will it allow them to control the seraphim
Ever since the introduction of Garling Figarland, the supposed father of Shanks, I've had the idea that the man we saw talking to the Gorosei during the Reverie arc, that resembled Shanks, was not actually Shanks, but maybe his brother, possibly a twin who is also a member of the Holy Knights.
Mihawk and Shanks vs Garling and fake Shanks?
and for some reason that Shanks look alike has no scar...
Brotha, this is a theory thats been parroted on this channel hundreds of times. Nobody actually thinks that person was shanks
@Quinnnard The problem than becomes that it's been so overtheorized that Oda 100% knows that people have made this thoery and subsequently given up on it so the chance of it becoming reality actually increases because Oda loves messing with the fan base.
@@axedrel211 Shanks vs Banks
For the most part I actually like the Evil Shanks twin theory. It would also make sense why a Celestial Dragon would be left to be raised by pirates, they already had a replacement. But the only thing about such a storyline is that it has already happened in One Piece. Sanji had not one, not two, but three evil siblings. So doing it again would be strange. Although we also had an amnesia plot with two different characters as well.
It could be why shanks wanted luffy to get strong becuase he knew his twin would be waiting to stop him.
Love the parallel between Luffy and Bonney when she said she wanted to die because she was alone and Luffy said something similar to Ace when they were kids
We can see the marines saying they'll seek the One piece but Figarland / Holy knights / Imu might be on that last page for other reasons than that ( Stopping others from finding it )
"They‘ve been emperors for *God* knows how long now" heh, that’s funny, considering the God Valley incident is arguably what forced them to become independent.
I hate to say it, but an evil twin shanks would make a lot of sense for all the people who still believe that shanks will become an antagonist
I could see Sabo arguing with Dragon because Luffy is in trouble, so he just says f it and dips.

Man the channel artists really pull no punches lately, everything looks so good
in all honesty i absolutely hate the idea of idea of shanks having an evil twin or a clone, and that it was that sibling or clone doing all the questionable stuff we have seen shanks do. personally i think a lot of shanks quality as a character stems from teh fact that he appears to be playing for both sides for whatever reason and the mystery surrounding that. he feels like a 3 dimensional character with interesting ambitions because of those scenes. if it were to be revealed that it was actually an evil clone doing all those things i think it would greatly subtract from the interest shanks as a character harbors. it would feel like a cop out, as if oda doesnt actually have a good idea as to what he wants to do with shanks as this missing link between the marine and pirate world and instead chooses to reduce him to another 1 dimensional pirate party. which i think would be rather dissapointing. thats just my opinion though, feel free to disagree
There is a panel in which we see just a teeny bit of Shanks' scar from the other side of his face, and the man meeting the Gorosei doesn't have that bit, so it's possible that it's not Shanks
Silhouette Swaaan
That point about Kuzan not joining Shanks is interesting because if you go with the theory of Shanks wanting a strong crew without devil fruit powers due to reigning over the undersea currents (that you brought up in a recent video), then of course Kuzan couldn't join them.

After seeing the Sword as a Human I guess I will never again question how another Ace could become a Donut
I'm over 90% convinced it was Shanks' relative who visited the Gorosei after seeing the scene in the anime, because it goes *out of its way* to avoid showing his scar (seriously, go watch the clip), and in both mediums his missing arm is conveniently hidden under a cloak.
I like how years ago Oda said that if Sakazuki wanted to claim the one piece, he could do it in less than a year. Now in the one piece world, Akainu might be going for it with less than a year left of time
14:02 this would remind me of any fight in Dragon Ball "im going to use my full power now!" and they will go on to say this about 10 more times before actually using their full power

10:08 My theory for that question is maybe they can't reach the last island 'laugh tale' because maybe joyboy have cast some types of restrictions like 'demons' or 'demon type devil' cannot activate joyboy's treasure
Or
only next joyboy can open the treasure that's why all 5 elders were searching for 'human human type fruit model nika' for 800 years
Or
There is some type of agreement of the void century which has not been revealed agreement between emu and someone important

Nobody cares if your first😱
I’m currently assuming the obscured man is also the only Rocks pirate that was enshrouded during the God Valley flashback
The idea that shanks has a sister is…..
*Appealing.*
10:00 I have an idea about it. I believe that there are two powers able to change the world at large scale . The one piece and the one with imu, and both have a long recharge time for re-use. In the last war , joyboy used the power of one piece to change the world and sometime later imu used the same power to change the world back according to her wish, therefore both powers went into 800 years long cooldown. The one piece will get off cooldown now , which is why roger was too early, and imu must be defeated before her power comes back , so that she can not change the world back after one piece is used. World government didnt claim one piece because they dont want to leave any chances of it being exposed via someone tracking the world governments movements and they dont need to. As long ad they make sure that imu is safe , it will be better for them if someone DOES use one piece so that imu can use it after them and keep control over the world for 800 years more.

I don't know why everyone considers Kid and Law to be completely out of the PK race. If Luffy got defeated, there would be 10 new theories on his next powerup. But for Law and Kid it's curtains?
The sword is a rapier, I feel like the idea is it is usually a holy sword used by royal guards. I would assume most of the sword fighters at the peak would use these blades
maybe the one piece explains the history of the world, which requires joyboy or his incarnate, which would explain what Roger said he was too early as maybe it was foretold that joyboy would reincarnate years later. This would explain why Imu or the five elders aren’t interested in the one piece
3:40 Man marked by flames lazy strat of just gatekeeping the last road pony so that some new era pirate comes along with the other 3 you needed is low key big brain tho.
Two possibilities for the silhouette person.
1) Faction based - We have 4 yonkos, 2 marines, 2 rev army guys, 2 world govt (imu and figarland). We don't know why Aokiji is important maybe there is some other faction and Aokiji and the silhouette person are representing that group.
2) Characters having some connections.
Shanks - BlackBeard
Buggy - Luffy
Shakajuki - koby
Sabo - Imu
Aokiji - Dragon (former marines, also garp)
Figarland - Silhouette
I honestly don't see a 3rd member of the figarland family to be important for the end game.
I think maybe they are some sort of Gatekeeper/Protecter type character for the ancient kingdom.
I also initially had a feeling that somehow it's Roger himself but the swords are different.
This is the most insane fucking thumbnail ever
8:34 I feel like the main issue with this theory is that the elders seem to have some sort of telepathic communication with each other, which I doubt even Devon’s powers could replicate
"voices" is actually used to describe observation haki all the time. Coby referred to it as "the voices disappearing" and Linlin and Luffy had their presence described as "voices" by Law, Kid, and Kaido on Wano
The man marked by flames is Loki. The poneglyph left to get was on fishman island when Roger found it. Loki saw fit to move it when Roger started the great pirate era as all pirates have to pass fishman island.
I must now do more research on female shanks… one-handed research, ofc
Man, the way you put that at the end, having Luffy's final power being to "help people overcome mental barriers" to be / fight as freely as possible... And who do we know that has the biggest mental barriers, but we know when temporarily moving a bit past them can fight like a demon and Luffy has an exceptionally close relationship with, AND we're going toward what should be his ultimate arc? USOPP!!! I hope we're moving swiftly toward him FINALLY being able to fully believe in himself and show us why he deserves to be on the Pirate King's crew aside from countering the odd goofy monster-trio-counter girl here and there.
I find it hard to believe the Elder stars and Imu can’t read the language of the ancient kingdom
Horseman could just consider everyone jackasses 😂
When Shanks showed up to speak to the five elders; it could be that he was cloned. Shanks vs his clone could be an interesting fight - it could also be an interesting red herring or bait and switch where instead of Luffy thinking he's about to reconnect with Shanks for so long - he actually encounters his clone who is hostile against him.
what ive noticed is a pattern in the last pannels, there are ofc the 4 emperors on top, and then on the lest side we have 1 marine (coby) 1 pirate (kuzan) 1 revolutionary (sabo) and 1 noble (figarland) and same repeats on the right side too 1 marine (akainu) 1 revolutionary (dragon) 1 noble (imu) and then the blacked out character, i feel like whoever he is he is a pirate follwoing the pattern on the left, and thats why im ruling out that its some holy knight or someone working under the elders, whether it be some pirate we seen before or have not is the question
I wonder what that revolutionary army woman with morale boosting abilities would do once she interacts with the sun god. After all her ability seems to be an active one based upon the capability to speak.
I got a theory that belo betty and bonney will do a combo attack to turn others into nikas
Did we forget about how Jesus Burgess followed Sabo to the Revolutionary Hideout and that he contacted a few Blackbeard Crew Members?
Sabo vs Dragon because one of them would prefer extermination of all Celestial Dragons, while the other believes they are the product of their surroundings and can be changed.
