- This is a bonus battle match for the Anime/Manga Crossover battle Set 1 match ups. The reason why I did this video is to give people an understanding of how that matches will be set up for set 1. Also, the reason why it's Crocodile Vs Gaara is because when I announced the Poll results all of a sudden a LOT of people wanted to see the this match up and some people were literally begging me....so i gave in. Also please remember that this is the way I SEE THINGS!! If u disagree then leave your comments in the comment section.

Something else I like about Crocodile. He is the first villain in the series to hand Luffy a complete and utter defeat.
Yea I hate that such a badass character getting beat by luffy? All luffy did was give himself haki basically when he put water on his hands but I'm sure he's stronger now so we'll see

That’s SUPER hardcore and makes him WAY better than crocodile ever was at the end and crocodile was already amazingly awesome to begin with!

Gaara will run out of chakra and he can get hit by normal attacks when his defense is down

Idk why people think Croc is some fodder sand user, the magnitude of attacks that Crocodile use are freakin huge. He's been able to create sandstorms that can engulf an entire town. Gaara is not weak either. If you allow Gaara to hit Croc and take away he's intangibility, then I think they are pretty even since both of them have the ability to one shot each other. Gaara can use sand coffin on Croc and Croc can just dehydrate Gaara completely.
Sand coffin wouldn't crush croc. The logia intangibility refers to them being able to be physically touched (i.e. blades bullets cannonballs etc.). Even without intangibility that doesn't take away croc's ability to become sand. He'd just turn into the sand of the sand coffin and stop the attack or reconstruct himself after the attack is finished. I don't see croc being done in by sand in any way, shape or form however, Gaara still has flesh and bone behind all his defenses. I say this battle comes down to how long Gaara can sustain his chakra shield and how fast he can get away so we don't have to watch him die for the 2nd time.
+Wes Harris Why does everybody forgets Gaara has 4 different chakra natures and techniques for each one? Wind, earth, lightning and magnetism... If this is not enough, since Crocodile is a real powerful badass (no doubt), remember Gaara was also one of the very few selected which can do Sealing Jutsus by himself. And sealed the soul and powers of a very powerful badass who controled water, oil and illusions (2nd Mizukage)... The Desert Layered Imperial Funeral Seal is one of the most efficient Sealing jutsus in all the series for someone who hasn't something like Kushina's sealing chains... And just for the record, at the age of 20, Gaara dominates metals as natural as he dominates sand, since the Magnet release he has is a Kekkei Genkai (straight blood-line treat).
+Sarath Randomness No doubt Sir Crocodile is a powerful foe to contend with, but Gaara isn't a push-over either. I don't understand why people so often underestimate him. In every versus video I've seen, whether it be against Croc, or Toph, they always make him loose. If the battle took place in a city, Gaara would likely prioritize others lives, over his own. As seen in Deidara's attack on the sand, as well as the 4th Ninja World War. Yet if they were fighting one on one away from anyone else, Crocodile would have no cheap trick to use against him. I agree with you here, not only did he beat someone that explicitly used his second greatest weakness (his first greatest being his own kindness) but with the wind, earth, lightning, magnetism. All these styles that he's mastered, Croc would stand absolutely no chance. People place WAY too much stock in a Logia's intangibility. Luffy beat it by punching him, while his hand dripped with his own blood. Gaara bleeds, he could easily tip his blades with blood just as well. Aside from the sealing, Croc is sand. Literal sand. The fruit turned him into sand. Gaara's main ability, that he is absolutely the most adept with above all else is that he controls sand. Croc can do nothing about that. Gaara can literally control Croc like a puppet, and crush him to sub-atomic levels without trying. There would be nothing left of Croc. Nothing. Aside from that, he could just force manipulate Croc to the point that he can't even move, and then just throw Croc in a lake, or dump some water on him, or bleed on him if there aren't any liquids. Once that was done, Croc would be tangible and easily killed with a simple spear. I can in no way imagine Croc having a single edge against Croc in this fight. ^^
I didn't forget about his chakra natures but there are many more factors to take into account on Crocodile's side since we're speculating things that haven't been shown in either series (i.e. Gaara crushing something at a sub atomic level with his sand or being able to control someone elses sand while it's under their control, something he couldn't do against his dad until after the third kazekage mixed his chakra into gaara's sand unlocking said kekkei genkai). What's to say crocodile doesn't use his haki to overwhelm gaara since it worked for luffy on naruto in their one minute melee. My points being we don't know enough about how these universes really measure up to call a winner based on anything more than opinion. I was honestly just stating my own. Who wins this fight doesn't matter much to me i think both are great characters and i feel like both of you are underestimating Crocodile.
Crocodile is Sand .... o.o there's no point in even thinking about who would win, since Gaara would need to be able to use haki or be able to do some water jutsu to defeat him.

He may not control crocodile's body being sand, but he can use the Wind Release: Sand Scattering Bullets to at the very least, make Crocodile slower.
He even uses an undestructible metalic sword...

This battle is stupid and naruto fans keeps using the same argument over and over like (gaara can control sand) like really? you dont say? The point is that Crocodile's cells are sand itself and gaara can control sand but he cant control LIVING THINGS. If this is a fight out in the desert, Crocodile would be able to appear within Gaara's defence and crush him since Gaara is bad at close combat. Crocodile can fuse with every attack that Gaara got and just disappear, attack from behind and stab him in the back. Easy gg

I'll give you 4 different arguments which have actually much to say by themselves.
1.- Gaara is skilled at SEALING jutsus. He's one of the few characters who developed his own Sealing Jutsus. Which are used for... sealing the soul and powers of a really powerful badass who controlled water, oil and illusions (the 2nd Mizukage).
2.- Gaara actually have 4 different chakra natures, and by the age of 20 he already shown techniques for each release: WIND, EARTH, LIGHTNING AND MAGNETISM.
3.- Crocodile is definetely a really powerfull badass, I mean, he defeated Luffy... but this wouldn't be the firs time Gaara faces an oponnet who's ridiculously powerful (Madara Uchiha) or someone who's really powerful and has advantages of nature's attacks towards Gaara's attacks and deffense (Kimimaro, Deidara, Sasuke with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan after defeating Itachi and inheriting his powers, the 2nd Mizukage... and yes, Madara Uchiha again...)
4.- Gaara is not anymore either the lonely little kid who carried a Teddy bear plushie instead of a Sand Gourd nor the Psycho Blood-Thirsty Murderer he was at 12... He became a monk-like minded Kazekage at the age of 15. At the age of 17 he shown to be a wise tactician. He was the Commander of an army made of an entire union of 5 nations...
At the age of 20 he's still the Kazekage, but he dominated the Magnet release and is able to use metals as natually as he used sand... Actually, he replaced his normal sand by a Metalic sand, just like the black metalic sand the 3rd Kazekage had.

He can possibly control him after a while but he cannot stop Crocodile from transforming back to his actual body and turn back into sand immediately after, which would cancel out the chakra since it won't linger on Crocodile's actual body.

Yeah they are on seperate tiers. Doffy is very close to top tiers as he can tangle with Admirals but Sasori is only middle/lower tier.

B) He can control his own body better than Gaara could, similar to how Gaaras gourd is infused with chakra. Crocodiles Sand is part of his body.
C) Even if Gaara could somehow control Crocodile, he has no way of harming him, unless he can negate his intangibility.

Gaara can create sand. It said so when he was fighting Kimimaro pre-Shippuuden.
I don't think he actually created that sand, i'm almost positive that came from his gourd. And if he could, it's only because he had the Shukaku inside him, which is why he can't create sand.
He states himself that he can create sand by mixing his sand with the ground and grinding that into sand as well. (Paraphrasing, I don't remember exactly how it may work.) But if you watch the battle against Kimimaro the entire battlefield ended up covered in sand. That certainly did not come from his gourd.
Swabbie So essentially, he's grinding the dirt into sand. That's not the same as just creating sand out of thin air like Crocodile or Sandman can do.

Beni Habibi He has not been able to control sand that is already being controlled doesn't mean its got to be another character. In his flashback, he couldn't cause himself pain even if he wanted to. The sand would act of its own accord regardless of what he wanted.

Gaara can't control living beings, but he can:
1.- Seal souls and powers. One of the few characters who developed his own sealing jutsus.
2.- Implant his sand/gold dust/metalic sand discretly into the body of someone... speacially if he's made of sand... and therefore, he won't be controling the oponnents' sand, he would be controlling his own sand/gold dust/metalic sand INSIDE of the body of the enemy. Shown as controling Madara Uchiha's motion for a decent time lapse with his sasandan jutsu.
Let me remind everyone the power of crocodile. He absorbed rain on an whole island/country for years and walked without sweating. His moisture absorbing power is really strong.
Crocodile can actually manipulate sand to a far greater degree than Gaara can. He can use his power to remove the hydration from a target's body and disable them instantly, or remotely manipulate sandstorms like it's nothing. He's also going to be largely immune to any of Gaara's attacks purely through being a Logia, and be far stronger/faster simply because One Piece characters have vastly higher speed/strength/durability. You don't see Gaara leveling building/mountains/giant monsters with punches or taking attacks that can do the same.
You need to do some logica fruit research.Aside from that he wouldnt excatly be immune its more like he just becomes apart of gaaras sand temporially or gaara controls him eitherway this fight would be never ending

Gaara controls all elements of sand. He also has an ultimate defense and can entrap and permanently seal someone entombed in his sand seal. Gaara can manipulate Crocodile's body itself and use it as a weapon. He can also bury crocodile in an entire village worth of sand. Sand can't break sand, especially when Gaara has the Shukaku armor infused with his chakra, Shukaku's chakra, and his mother's will. The only thing I can see Crocodile do is allow himself to be controlled by Gaara and blend in with the sand, only to wait until he can attack at close range, but Crocodile's speed can't beat Gaara's automatic sand defense. Gaara would easily dispatch Crocodile. Can't forget even if Crocodile touches Gaara, Gaara still has his entire body covered in sand as a second layer of defense. Crocodile is dead.

The Haki thing applies to Devil fruit intangibility, therefore, when cross-battles happens, it can't be neglected and therefore Intangibility is always in effect unless an element counter is available.
I really don't recall him controlling sand that he didn't create. But this also doesn't change the fact that the tornado, only becomes uncontrollable to croc as it grows larger, gaara will control it from the start. And lastly, gaara is covered in his dense sand ball, a sand tornadoe does absolutely nothing if he is able to get it off.
I personally think Gaara is stronger than Crocodile because he has shown that he can do massive sand attacks, his battle vs deidara he showed a superhuman level of chackra storage with massive moves,However in a battle despite crocodile havingg smaller AoE attacks his defensive properties are so high he would destroy Gaara easy, power is not everything, I admit in a rush to kill/destroy something gaara with sand Is far better than Crocodile, but Garra's offensive prowess cannot match Crocodile's overpowered defense as a Logia.

3 Read it again he lightened it and gaara's sand was protecting the people. When he lightened it, the other one hit it on top and hit onoki on his head before it broke. Basically meaning that they both landed straight on his head before it broke into pieces. This shows that bcuz its more than 2 times bigger than turtle island Onoki is at least town/mountain durability possibly island durability.
Actually if crocodile pulls a deidara and merges with the sepcial sand of gara even the ultimate defence will be useless

As a side note, croc can only control the sand he makes, but that doesn't matter seeing as how his attacks and him in his logia state will be controlled.
Basically the same way he bypassed the shukakus cells and controlled him, is the same way he will control croc. Infused his chakra in the shukaku's arms is what allowed him to control the shukaku with ease, in the fight vs deidara.
Gaara is town level destructive capabilities since he was able to engulf a whole town with his sand. Crocodile is a city block buster since his sand doesn't do much as much as what Gaara did back in the shippuden arc.

In general, aerodynamic heating becomes an issue at hypersonic speeds 1 is enough for hypersonic speed but guy sensei had over 200 punches in a second putting him muc above hypersonic combat speed.
He has devastated entire towns before in Alabasta Arc, not to mention he has displayed massive environment altering techniques like Spada.
m not sure, but he was said to be an island buster in the anime with his dust release and also his dust release allowed him to lift and island with a single hand. This adds to what you said about madara's meteor. Onoki had no trouble lifting the island with a single hand, yet when the meteors were there he used 2 hands and still needed gaara's sand to stop it.
Croc doesn't have to physically touch Gaara at all to drain his moisture, since Gaara uses sand to from his gourd to attack we can assume to some degree that if Crocodile gets hold of this sand then because it is in contact with his body he would drain the moisture out of Gaara.

2) Mizukage has 3 elements and 2 Kekkaki Genkais . Her water style is strong enough to counter even the hottest flames barring Amaterasu . Her Earth style is pretty strong too as well as fire style but her most destructive attacks are her Acid release which melts anything within a radius of Mei and she can control the range and PH of the attack and her Lava can burn through almost anything ,even through Sunasoo which is much harder to cut than steel.
You still haven't answered the question as to when gaara put his chakra into another human being and how gaara can do it when he can't touch croc.

yes, but it is still the equivelant to a chidori. Yes the chidori has only been proven to cut steel. But it has not failed to live up to its name which states that it is a technique "that can cut anything".

but as i stated earlier. it has yet to cut anythin harder than steel. so in a crossover battle it is a steel cutter. Get it?
1) Gaara's sand is virtually indestructible. It can withstand even city level meteors and constantly protects Gaara. It can get stronger absorbing more sand and withstand even tidal waves of water and still be useable, it can lift sand 7.3 times it's weight and moves fast enough to block even massively hypersonic attacks like Amaterasu or Raikage clad in Lightning release armor.
when gaara protected the sand village with the massive amount fo sand no chakra was given. Also, when he took all the damn bombs for deidara, no chakra was given, also when he was moving the sand off the sand village to prevent its destruction, no chakra was given by the shukaku.
now chapter 114 and chapter 333 it is stated the chidori can cut through anything. You can take it as a hyperbole, but i take it as fact seeing as how chidori has never failed to pierce through anything. But back to gaara, the desert cutter doesn't matter, that attack once let loosed will be controlled
They werent high end actual sound waves, and if youd look correctly youd see i said that he is at supersonic + meaning at a higher mach than just supersonic
They state that when u kill a bijuu host. the bijuu will be revived, this was also stated in the anime episode 283.
You shouldn't judge Crocodile's stamina based on how many attacks he could dish out without feeling tired. Logia powers don't even require stamina to use, its basis is completely different from ninjutsu.
The meteor was huge, not to mention the second one that was coming down right after it. The light weight technique didn't matter, Ooniki tanked 2 metoers.
Kisame is also small island lv too by your argument.
He casually creates town level floods with just 30% of his power, his regular water sharks have muilt city block DC and can easily produce 1,000 of those attacks, he can also create a small mountain size water dome to drown people and has a city level giant water shark bomb that drains chakra and grows stronger. Not to mention he survived Gai's HIrudora which had a blast radius larger than Turtle Island.
Because you know Guy who chopped a iceberg in half using full power > Guy who can easily level mountains without even trying.
Where do you get this number ? The same site that claims Zancrow can solo Bleachverse or the same site that claims Komamura in Shikai is on par with Moriah in Asgard form ?
Chakra and haki aren't the same things but regardless of that you're assuming that Gaara has trained to the point that he could use the Busoshoku haki and even if it can be infused with his sand.

To create flames from friction alone, it reuqires at least Mach 20 speed.
His df allows him to be unaffected by any explosion as he said when he ate usopps bomb pellet. So pretty much any hst lvl bomb will not scratch him

How so ? Gaara can control and lift sand 7.3 times heavier than his own., Gaara can still use his sand even when heavily saturated and his sand can block nuke like blasts. Can Crocodile do that ?
3) Tsunade. She has immense striking power and virtually unrivaled in this department aside from current Naruto, Madara and Tobi,. She can effortlessly level buildings with a single finger tap, has the strength to lift giant swords with ease and cause craters with a single punch. With charka ehnaced strength, she can break through Sunasoo with ease and she has instant regeneration that even regrows organs without handseals.

3)No, he used the ultra light weight tech for the island and the meteor, The meteor was around city level its been calcd, He used the tech on the first meteor and also gaara was putting up a sand barrier, then when the second one came it pretty much destroyed the originally and everything broke into pieces, it never showed everything that happened, gaara could have shielded him.
Apparently an exponential power increase in TS doesn't increase speed either despite the fact Sasuke was casually blitzing Sakura who was supersonic within the timeskip
When Gaara fought Deidara he was mearly able to stop Shukaku from taking over his body, like possesion. He didn't actually control sand, he just happens to share the body with the demon. I don't see how everbody keeps saying he controled sand.
People have been said to be able to do certain feats all the time in manga, But they are usually never showcased.
So until onoki actuall shows he can bust an island for now he has no feats of doing so, so he cant.

Mind you this was a much weaker Gaara than current Gaara.
He was appearing to be intangible when Jeice and Bruter were attacking him directly, he was dodging firezea's death beams which were literary moving at lightspeed with ease.

Don't mean to jump into this "battle of wits" but Gaara has never been shown to control sand that was already being controlled. It was made clear in Gaara's flashback when he tried to cut himself that he couldn't because the sand had a "will" of it's own, meaning Shukaku or his mother whichever.
He can teleport by reforming inside the armour. He shows this frequently during his fights with Luffy.
One touch and Gaara's dead. And chances are he could remove Gaara's shielding.
Gaara's armour is a massive handicap; it takes a huge toll on his chakra. He wouldn't use it unless he has to.

i wouldn't call water his weakness. Its more like it's the only way to fight fairly with him. Water just allows him to get hurt which Gaara starts off with, so this puts them both on equal terms rather than crocodile having a disadvantage.
Chakra and haki are totally different. For one thing, well correct me if im wrong but isnt haki only transferred into weapons and such through physical contact? Gaara doesnt even need to touch his sand. Plus gaara trains in a totally different style than what brings up haki

I gave the same scores to both settings because of the two's ability to create sand and manipulate their environments to create sand. E.g. Gaara's sand Tsunami. Furthemore, other than the direct sand linked to crocodile (sentient sand) Gaara would be able to utilize any excess sand created by Crocodile, a Grassland setting would soon become more dessert than grassland if these two were to fight.

No you dont understand. He didnt just turn things into sand, he drained EVERYTHING in the vicinity of moisture. He touched the ground and it created an effect that spread outwards and consumed everything. And he can control sand too. Type in "Croc's attacks" on the RUclips search bar to get a better idea. His skill doesnt work like "It turns everything to sand but sand. So if it touches sand, the ability thinks it hit a wall." Its more like "Everything that is touching what I touch is drained"
Gaara can also create more sand and teleport right before he fights lee and he makes more sand when he fights kimi

Yes, in the past gaara could not compelelty control the shukaku, and would lose control due to his rage. "even then control is difficult it won't happen immediately". From that quote, you imply that at first gaara has difficulty controlling as a child, as he grew older, by the time he fought deidara he had control.

It is control, beacuse as we have seen in the manga, gaara controlled the shukaku against deidara. The shukaku will not help out gaara for the sole reason that he most likely wanted gaara to die. When the host of the bijuu dies, the Bijuu is let free and revived chapter 541.

Gaara can control his chakra infused sand but if he cant even really control sand without chakra how the heck could he control already controlled sand by a guy leagues above him ?
