I love comparing and contrasting photographers' work! Neither is "worse" or "better" than the other, it's just about how different artists have different perspectives too.
i love how both photographers manage to show the connection between the couple and pose them quite similarly but Julia has much more greenery in her images whereas Mitch has a more industrial vibe to his
That was awesome, Julia. Thanks for bringing in Mitch, love his style and videos. All 4 of you did awesome. And hope that Dan was doing the video and did awesome as always. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! Would love to film some more stuff with Mitch, it was super fun working with him. Yep Dan was filming my video and TK filmed Mitch's video :)
This is so much fun to watch. As always your pictures are so beautiful. You are amazing at setting up your compositions. ❤️❤️❤️. I'll will definitely check out Mitch's video as well.
That was sooo cool! I have never seen 2 photographers work shooting one couple but I thought it was so interesting to see each person perspective and creativity!
So I loved this video showed 2 different style .. his style felt more high fashion I guess like in his photos based on the couples facial expressions for most of the photos it felt like a fashion shoot n with Julia it felt free and I felt the warmth along side with the spark between the couples. Both did great but Julia took this one for sure.
@@juliatrotti your welcome Hun!😏 I love to see other photographers work to get inspired. Also I would like to get a video about how to price our services as a photographer I would love to flourish as it is my passion. Also contracts and all legal documents as well.
Wow really interesting to see how different your styles are. The video shows how differently you can create a shoot and different ways off handling the camera and the models. Very nice and cute pictures Julia and Mitch. Cool Video too :-)
Really cool to see how differently you both used the location, and directed the couple as well! Sometimes people can seem very set in their way or a particular look, but I always admire photographers who are constantly growing, adapting, improving, learning from others, and trying new things, having fun, and collaborating with other people! :))))
Oh my goodness! This was such a fun video! I love seeing how unique your styles are and the similarities! This area you guys picked is so pretty and has so much to work with! What beautiful photos! Thank you for another inspiring video! ❤️
This episode reminds me of Jessica Kobeissi, I love it.. 😍 It's always interesting to see how the same people, place, gear and everything can give different results. It's all about our vision, imagination and style, and I really liked both of these. 👏🏻😍 I'll definitely check Mitch's channel too.
so they both use similar colors does anyone know if this is more of an acid wash or the stuff that was so prevalent a few years back. Great shots and super creative.
Julia is the best🔥🔥, I don’t know why but she one of my favorite RUclipsr/Photographer. Her videos are so helpful and interesting. Easy to understand, that’s why I like to watch all of her BTS.
Your videos honestly inspire me. I have learned so much about portrait shooting from your videos, and has given me very valuable composition tips when I do shoots :)
Hey Julia ... interesting to watch the different styles ... I think I have a Mitch style of shooting yet I loved your compositions & poses ... the shots around the greenery were my favs
Hi Julia I love your Videos!!! I just upgraded to a full frame camera and because of you and your videos its a sony 7iii :-) Would you mind writing your most common settings in this shoot? I have problems getting two people in focus with the sony.... Which appeture do you use? What focus mode? AF-C or AF-S , Flexible spot (which size?) or "broad" Focus; eye focus? Where exactly do you focus on the couple, in case you use a flexible spot? Thank you so much for your videos. You are such an inspiration. Best wishes from Germany :-)
I took all my photos at f1.4 but if you struggle with getting focus I would recommend to start more at f2.8 with couples then slowly bring it down as you get used to it. I had my camera set to continuous AF with eye af turned on the entire time and I also had a small flexible focus point that I would always keep on one of their eyes/face 😊 it’s how I focus all my photoshoots now
I love your channel! I'm a kinda new photographer. I'm going to school for photojournalism but I am adventuring into the world of portraits and your channel is really helping me!
Any tips on what Aperture I should use when I do couple photoshoot? I have been using f1.4 but it's blurry on the person a little toward the back end. Plus should I still have eye focusing on for couple? (I have a a6400 that I been using).
I have a couple of videos on how I focus on a DSLR as it does take a little more effort to get it right. If you're using a mirrorless most of them have great continuous AF settings that help you a lot with tracking movement :)
This is so good, and couldn't have come at a better time. I'm about to do my first couple shoot this week and this video will definitely help me out with poses
Just curious, what kind of precautions were taken to protect each other. I would love to do some couples photography but I'm worried about the people being so close if they're not a couple.
I find it so funny my favourite photography youtubers are both Australian AND did a collab together! Julia, which preset of yours was used in this shoot? I love having nature as the backdrop of my photos as well and have pretty gloomy weather here in Vancouver. Thanks!!!
Thanks so much for having me on this shoot Julia I had an absolute blast! Still can’t get over how good your photos are! 😍
Thank you too!! This was so much fun 😍🥳
Hey Mitch ,nice job but want to see wear casual outfit next photo shoot hehe
Nice
@@fangli no no.. he's fine 😍
Julia you’ve helped me so much over the years. Your tutorials have been super easy to understand and I’m very appreciative for that.
That makes me so happy to hear!!
Julia Trotti omg thanks for the response. ♥️
I love comparing and contrasting photographers' work! Neither is "worse" or "better" than the other, it's just about how different artists have different perspectives too.
Yesss completely agree! It was really fun for me too seeing both our different styles of shooting and directing :)
Jessica Kobeissi needs to see this!
OMG. Everything about this video. The couple, the location, the photographers 😍 I love Mitch’s channel too! Both of your work is aaahhhh-mazing!
Thanks so much!!
Stunning images from the both of you! Directing couples is something I've had very little experience with - so this was great!
Thanks so much! 😊

Thank you and yeah, I really loved Mitch's use of the space we were in, but I just can't pass up a good tree hahah

Glad you liked them, I looove always doing some walking shots with my couples - great way to break the ice :)

You two should collab more. Seriously my top 2 favorites. Next time invite Irene Rudnyk for the trio
Thank you so much!! I would love to shoot with Irene but we live on opposite sides of the world :(
Love this 😍😍😍
2 different style 2 amazing photographer 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Could you do a video of tips on how to keep the subject in focus while they’re moving/walking towards you?
Most modern cameras have autofocus with subejct tracking which is the easiest way I've found!
I have a couple of videos on how I focus on a DSLR as it does take a little more effort to get it right. If you're using a mirrorless most of them have great continuous AF settings that help you a lot with tracking movement :)
Great video again Julia!
Thank you 🤗
What is the best overall mirrorless camera for under $1000?
This is so good, and couldn't have come at a better time. I'm about to do my first couple shoot this week and this video will definitely help me out with poses
Thank you, glad you liked it! And good luck on your shoot :)
Love this collab! It let me see the Canon vs Sony with the same focal length love it thanks
Sony is the way the only way
But is not about the camera is what you can do with composition and what you capture on the frame. Even your phone can do nice photos
Thank you!
How do you hit the shutter button so much when they were walking and not get the photos blurry ??
I have it on continuous AF with eye AF turned on, the Sony A7III is great at tracking movement and makes life super easy!
That "Hey Everyone". Lol... when I hear that - day made
Cool collab guys good job!
Cheers Ben
Thanks Ben :D
