I love how they didn't give him laser vision or something like that, all he needs to do to wipe out a civilization is effectively turn it into cosmic roadkill
Viltrumites are a terrifying race. Not just the fact they are insanely powerful and durable beyond anything anyone has seen before. You realize that Omniman isn't defending Earth, he's simply guarding his prize.
The end of episode 1 wasn't clear enough I guess
@@fleeplayTV It really wasn't. Like, there's still the idea he might be saving the Earth from them, or under control, or anything other than what turned out to be true.
And whats the difference, exactly? Besides, it's pretty clear hes conflicted from the beginning and by the end of the first season the "protecting his prize" idea goes out the window.
That actually makes one fight harder I would think. The whole "your not taking what I have stolen" thing.
The way J.K. Simmons delivers that line makes it sound really ominous, though. "Earth isn't YOURS to conquer."

There's no point in a nuclear deterrent if it hasn't been demonstrated at least once.
I will always remember this scenes as "the moments you feel safer with Homelander than with Omni man"

For me Omni Man decimating cities by turning himself into a Kinetic weapon by accelerating into hypersonic or maybe a fraction of the speed of light is by far the coolest scene in superhero media animated or live action. I like how the animators got the super physics of Omni man right when he flew super fast and heated up the air creating nuclear explosions, pretty awesome scene.
On a side note: Gases-like air-when compressed, become hotter. That's how it worked.
He was splitting atoms. That's a Viltrumite ability. It isn't Nucle*r, it's atomic. He basically turned himself into a high powered atomic missile that can explode and explode again, any time he jolted through solid objects. The bigger the solid object, plus the faster he is going, the bigger the boom. Three Viltrumites can do that to a relatively small planet if they time it right together.
@@justinklinck6575 - It’s pretty crazy to think that technically could happen on earth if an object(or an Omni-Man) travelled that fast around the surface of the earth, it’s probably a good idea that super powered beings don’t exist.

Humans can't even run 35 miles per hour without their legs falling apart. That's the beauty in comics and animations, and even a lot of live action film nowadays. Everyone focuses on the carnage, but what I think of is how this brutal warlord when he comes home smiles when his wife kisses him. There is an expression of relief on his face. You see he is happy when he sees his son and hugs him. He closes his eyes, happy to be with his wife again as he embraces Mark.
That's what I like about Omiman

@@siphosethumbaba7559 He loves his wife the same way humans love their pets..
Dude is a boderline psychopath.
Man is fantastic at compartmentalization-until he isn’t 😂
I like how as soon as omni man appears no one stands a chance this also shows what great potential mark has
Mark will day surpass him.
This is where Omni-Man both shows his power and a lot of his true nature. He turned himself into a relativisitic kinetic projectile, creating a shockwave strong enough to basically wipe the surface of the planet and then following it with a nuclear-level heat blast. The only reason he didn't burn the planet down to the mantle was so there were survivors enough to open a portal home. And what thanks did they get? A mountain dropped on their heads.
And after all that, they want to go after Earth *again.* Takes them a long time to put their whole planet back together, but when they finally succeed they are *pissed off.*
They are dumber than a fucken brick,if they have the cajones to go back to Earth,AGAIN!
tbh that is the sort of aliens that deserves to be wiped out. Omni-man was too kind..
@@dandini0698 Their military leadership, absolutely. They were knaves and fools. But the vast majority of Flaxans may not have been on board with this and they were crushed just as surely as the villains. Not to mention the entire attack was rendered moot: The Flaxan *leadership* survived and came right back to target Earth again after Omni-Man left. He killed billions just because he was pissed off, and missed the ones that actually were behind the attacks on Earth.
Wait! There’s something we’re forgetting. If the Flaxans were planning on taking over the entire planet why didn’t they send more troops? Surely an entire planet trying to conquer earth would have more troops, more portals at least some air support. What if the flaxen planet is divided into countries or territories the same way earth is. That would explain the fact there are so few troops and so few portals, think about that and then think about what omni man did across the entire planet.
Going back to one of the oldest ways of attack - ramming.
You know how easily he crushed that Flaxen general while when fighting Mark it's ALMOST like he holds back
He's got an image to keep
To be fair, Mark got stronger since the fight with the flaxans.
He was absolutely holding back against Mark. He didn't want to kill him, he wanted to teach him a lesson. If he had wanted to kill Mark, he wouldn't have stopped to yell at him
Remember Mark giving his best to punch his dad? Omniman didn't even feel it... Of course he is fooking holding back against his son.
He would tear off his sons face in a millisecond if he wanted to kill him
Another thing that gave me an absolute haunting realisation is that he has a full on beard. A beard can take a week to 3 (depending on how fast he’d be able to grow it) to really fill out like Omni-Man’s did. For a good bit of time he was waging war and terrorising these people. Probably taking his sweet time fighting and slaughtering as they tried to fight back. Possibly giving them chances to try and boost morale seeing if they’d be able to even *slightly* hurt him. Only to squash any and all hopes and create a worldwide genocide.
Nah time moves faster for him in the Flaxian timestream
@@we1rd92 That makes no sense honestly. If flaxians rapidly age to dust in our time stream, due to the speed difference, that would mean that humans in their time stream would take an absurdly long time to age, not age faster. With that said, that would also mean growing the beard makes no sense too. This is my biggest pet peeve on the show because both timestreams can't be faster than eachother, that is contradictory.
@@Max_Pendragon yeah i guess i meant slower its however you name it. While on earth just a few hours passed, he spent months on the flaxian planet.
@@we1rd92 What I was saying is while he likely did spend months there, he shouldn't age at all. Since the flaxians age SUPER fast on our timestream, that would mean we would age SUPER slowly on their time stream. It's just a continuity error really.
@@Max_Pendragon Completely hear you on your explanation. Since they don't specify the amount of time that he spent there, it could easily be he was there for even longer than months. The facial hair is the only way to really discern how long he was there. But since this is based on a comic book, the only real implications I took from was to show the audience his level of power & persistence.

We NEED this scene to be a fatality in MK1
I feel like they will add it
You get the train and you'll like it.
He has a similar move in his Viltrumite stance, where he grabs the head
Destroying an entire planet by causing several nuclear explosions using speed alone sounds like an ideal fatality
Note: A key point of Superman comics is that one of his weaknesses, besides kryptonite and magic, is *red suns.* Krypton orbited a dying star, a red dwarf, and they need a yellow sun like Sol to achieve Superman levels of strength, which is part of why they never acquired Superman's power before their destruction. Any time Superman is exposed to red sun lamps, he's reduced to human. Having that *entire* sequence of world-genocide under a blood red star is a little reminder to comics fans that unlike Superman, Omni Man *has no weaknesses.*
It really showed how lacking in understanding most of the writers were when it came to stars, with the exception of the rare expert here or there, because there's no difference in the kind of radiation emitted by yellow and red stars. The only difference is the level, which would still allow him some power just not as much as he's used to. On top of that magic isn't really a weakness. He, like anyone that doesn't practice it or have mystical connections through bloodlines or spiritually, just doesn't have specially given protection. Honestly, it's pretty dumb, as his natural durability would be more than enough to still tank most attacks unless it was one specifically made to circumvent it.
All in all, Superman has always been incredibly inconsistent and the writers just don't care to fix it.
They have sound frequency weakness
Yeah but Omni-Man bleeds much more readily
Extreme heat and certain frequencies actually. Also if you damage his heart enough it jacks up his healing factor.
I'm pretty sure in the comics superman literally flew through a or red sun and survived

You don't remember when they explained how time works on different planetary objects, a day on earth is like a 1000 years on this flexan planet, Nolan was back in the evening right before dinner, so he took a couple years to destroy the whole fucking planet, well, he had enough time xD
@@sol5879 Proof of your statement is Nolan had a mustache when he went in the portal and a full beard when he got home.
@@danielhaire6677 Thanks for your approval
To be fair, you pretty much HAVE to destroy their planet.
I mean, they keep coming back and because of the speed of their universes time, they'd all come back with omniman level tech/power and be unbeatable within a couple years
Making them extinct is pretty much a necessity
that's why he had such a beard got it
That’s one way of thinking. The whole invincible series is to show how neither way is correct. The kind way or the ultra violent way. Violence begets violence but kindness begets recidivism. The theme of the invincible if i had to boil it down would be to talk it out first with a wary fighting stance. The author wrote such a good coming of age book.

This scene is just amazing! How much destruction Omniman can hail down when he truly doesn't care in the least is unreal.

That menacing grin...
Stranded in another dimension, on an alien planet facing down their army yet it’s the embodiment of the phrase “I’m not trapped here with you, you’re trapped here with me”

You will know why Invincible is called invincible as the series progresses. He may no look that way right now but trust me, he will…
He fucking survives with his guts pull out and literally standing in the superficie of a sun
Yeah, in the end he defeats the strongest Viltrumite ever, who has literally cut Omniman in half with bare hands and killed Battle Beast 1 on 1, while fighting on top of the fricking Sun
@@maximpershutin8257 and survives the virus made to kill viltrumites
That’s adorable; Omni-Man “Explaining Nicely” to them why they should leave Earth alone. Little does everyone know; he secretly has a different plan in mind than “protecting Earth”.
Omni-Man running through the Flaxans is still by far the coolest scene in the show, including Season 2.
I hope they continue to make many seasons of this show. Quite amazing
Of course they are. Season 2's coming out till 2023
i think the creators said theres gonna be around 8 seasons total. 8 seems a little small in comparison to how much content was in the original comics. if we lived in a perfect world, there would be 12 seasons instead
3:38 the fact he can just act normal is fucked up.
Well he’s done this thousands of times.
As soon as I saw Omni man go through the portal I thought "They're screwed."
Omni man is no one to mess with this really shows what an evil super being can do and it’s kinda awesome of how much destruction this man can cause and carnage.
3:27 THE REALMS ARE MINE
At 1:55, the Flaxan army was routed, but at 2:41, they were preparing for another assault.
If Omniman did not attack and wipe most of them out, they would have come back way way way stronger within a year or two in Earth's time.
I'm pretty sure those were just the troops that retreated but yes they would've come back, in a week or so like they did before.

3:22 I love how Nolan let this Flaxian guy opens a portal to somewhere to save whatever left of his species, then dropped a city on them because that isn’t enough punishment for invading Earth. It’s dark but very crucial to understand Nolan’s character.
The concept that you are trying to conquer a planet by force but that there is a more powerfull party that has the same goal. Thats what makes this series so freaking, expect the unexpected.
Destroying worlds is easy, Conquering is the true challenge of Strength.
-Probably a Viltrumite proverb.
“You don’t seem to understand, Earth isn’t yours to conquer” is a great foreshadowing of Omniman's real aim.
Can't wait for the rest of the comics to be animated
2:44 the foreshadowing is unholy 😯
I need to hear this song again when the invincible war starts to parallel this scene
This series isn't underrated. Everyone who sees it LOVES it.. Total fkin win. What's currently happening is that it's not well known. If there was a way it could get more exposure you'd have a monster hit. This series is so unbelievably good.
Agreed. Can’t wait to see more of it. I’d say that its “underrated” in the sense that it doesn’t get as much attention as much worse series that are better marketed, like the obi wan show or moon knight, or the other Disney plus Star Wars/Marvel Content
0:52 bullies punch kid till dad shows up.
Literally the coolest scene in the show and the only time Nolan showed his actual strength. Imagine an alien coming into your world and destroying your entire planet in like an hour.
From Nolan perspective it was probably a few seconds lol
God they put some amazing music over that massacre. Fits the chaos and evil extremely well
Like this scene just hits it home for seeing the true face of Omni-man and its amazing. When he takes out the other superheros you could think it was maybe mind control or they were secretly evil or whichever mental leap one could take to see some degree of morality in his actions.
Then this scene hits and when he drops the line "Earth isn't *yours* to conquer", followed by the absolute annihilation of the whole planet, it shows a few things all at once. The first is the obvious, which is that he's been hiding his true colors from people. Second is that he doesn't have anyone to reveal that to and reserves the truth only for those who won't live to tell it. But the most interesting thing for me is that he hasn't even revealed the extent of his power to the world. He can fly with such speed and power that he can create massive explosions with the force making contact with anything he hits. He can lay waste to a planet in what was, for him, as little as a few days. He can carry tens of thousands of tons like theyre nothing to him. And he can inflict such damage in such a short time that his victims are willing to sacrifice their lives to portal him out.
Just such a good scene
I love the way she asked Invincible that "What Happened" , when a alien race came to earth to destroy everything
It's crazy to me that omni-man can do something so simple such as flying, to a point where he becomes so fast, that he essentially leaves a nuclear fallout on his wake.
Love that the comic writers added a scene where we get to see true Viltrumite power. He can never go all out on earth because his full power will literally destroy the planet
People don't seem to realize time is different in their dimension. Took him years, this the beard.
It looks more like the destruction was a matter of minutes, as they show him rapidly flying through the countries/continents of the world without stopping. What likely took time was waiting on the survivors to build the portal and get the coordinates right, especially given how much time it took between Flaxan invasions. With each day being years between invasions, whereas Omni-man was "just a little late to dinner" being demonstrated by him returning that same day with Mark's bruises still clearly shown.
@@entertainmentaddict8442 it's not, time is different there. It becomes an arc later on.
