It was so weird. I want to see an edit where the title card is edited in
That's the indication that were on a different universe.
That's like the gag for this episode. Big breaks before uttering the word "Invincible" happen like 5 or 6 times, only for the last line of the episode to be the actual cutaway to the title card
@@jay9344 They're breaking away from the title card thing entirely, each episode did it differently, with the 3rd episode doing it best
I'm thinking its cause in this moment the "Invincible" isn't referencing Mark's spirit or personality as a person, rather its his strength.
Its not "Invincible" the name or spirit her, its "invincible" the strength.

gaslighting at its finest 😂
I wouldn't say it's manipulation, more like actually believing it. From their perspective, especially Omni-Man's the take over of Earth is inevitable. How it happens depends on humans which for them are more like animals, that don't know better and are resisting "without a reason".
For them killing people who resist is like for us taking a pet to vet. It may be stressful, hurt a little and the pet may resist but it has to be done. We also don't care about lives of fleas if our dog has them.

Debbie was mostly the key element in raising Mark and showing OmniMan the beauty of Humanity. She was Nolan’s Lois Lane to his Evil Superman.
Yeah but Debbie also exists in this universe. Hell there’s a Debbie in every universe but they still turn evil. It’s not about Debbie. Our Debbie is just an anomaly
I think a factor that might've been at play is that in our universe, Mark got his powers abnormally late. He was just a regular kid for most of his life
In the comics it is mentioned that in the realities where Invinvible was evil it was usually because of how omni man raised him differently/sometimes even brought him to viltrum the moment he was born and was raised there
@Mr.Traumatized "let me break it down for you mark, your mother and I have something of a *Master/Slave Dynamic* "
I think it's more of Nolan taking more control when raising Mark and not being so much of a superhero, and who knows what Debbie is like in these alternate worlds, maybe she died to a freak accident or was just slightly enough of a different person@@60bangz
What would be scarier is if this version of Mark actually has "valid" reasons for conquering Earth. Perhaps he saw a much more ruthless example of what the Viltrim Empire does to a resisting planet. In that case, he might see him and his father as the only "good" option left because they might be the "nicest" and "softest" Viltrimite conquerors that Earth can ask for. That would put a darker spin on his quote "The more you resist the worse this gets".
I just thought it be something like Debbie was a crap parent in this timeline so mark clung to his dad more resulting in him being more accepting of the viltrum way as long as he could be with his dad
@@justindixon1586 mutiverse-wise we cannot only blame the parents for his decision, the age he got his powers, friends, where he grew and so much more plays a role on the perception of the planet and humanity.
@@yoshineitor true I’m just thinking how they imply Debbie is the reason and a different mark could have an entirely different life that warps his perspective. Debbie or any factor really would be like a Domino resulting in him interacting with different people, events, and choices that shape his outcome.
@@justindixon1586 I think one of the more important changes is the fact that Robot is still stuck in his capsule, which could mean that he never went to the Mauler Twins and they, in turn, never revived Immortal. Thus, no bloodshot Omni-man. And Omni-man probably had a better grasp on the situation.

"Tried to take over YOUR planet" that subtle change to 'your planet' was the most chilling thing for me. Mark no longer sees himself as part of Earth
It doesn't make much sense to say take over our planet, since "our" already implied some sort of partial ownership
What makes this version of Mark more terrifying than his apparent sociopathy, is the fact that it probably isn’t sociopathy at all. It feels more like this Mark is broken, that he was still capable of empathy, but now he’s all deflective like his father was with him during their big fight because he doesn’t want more people to get hurt and is convinced that people will get hurt if they don’t accept the Viltrum Empire as he did. He’s in the darkness of it all and probably too far gone now. His father had turned his empathy against him.

Mark started following that same dark thinking, his empathy turned against him, until a point of no return.
I bet this version of mark either got his powers earlier in life or his father influenced him more. His softness and heroism was more so thanks to his mother
I'm wagering it's just Nolan didn't refer to Debbie as "a pet". It seemed like Mark was somewhat open to the idea before that.
@@TheGreatThicc you think calling his mom a “pet” was the issue and not proposed planetary enslavement?? Clearly evil mark was influenced more by his fathers culture than earths

The cannibal Mark kept reminding him how terrible they all are and how most were like that since they were little, trained to take over my nolan and the rest had their eyes opened to how different they were from normal humanity
In this universe omniman had speaking skills
He passed the speech check.
he used guides to choose the good dialogue
Based on what I hear, it is the opposite. Mark joins his dad in most universes. Which means he rolled a natural 1 on his speech check with Prime Mark.
He got a critical roll on a D20.

What is interesting about Eve vs Evil Invincible scene, is that in the comics, when she was killed by conquest, her mental block was disabled, reviving herself, and with that, she emitted a powerful beam on conquest, helping Mark on killing him.
Imagine if, instead of paralyzing her, he actually killed her? Invincible would be in a much worse situation conquest was, probably.

Or Omniman was more serious in his mission and less distracted by earth stuff
@@Dinosaur315 I agree with you. There are so many things this could have gone in many universes.
Or Mark’s powers manifested earlier, so Nolan raised him as a Viltrumite from the start.
Or Nolan admitted the truth of their culture in a more controlled way, rather than after the shock murder of one of their family friends.
Or maybe a combination of all these things.
They probably didn’t kill Debbie. She’s probably in a mansion somewhere as basically a prisoner, but otherwise being treated well. Mark wouldnt want his own mother to die, just like he didn’t want Eve to die. Debbie is powerless anyway, so she’s kinda like Skyler in Breaking Bad… she just goes along with it, powerless to do anything and just lives oppressed but with more privileges than most

I believe it was said somewhere that the reason most marks are ''evil'' is because Debbie is relatively unlikely to see mark grow up due to an event that kills her early on in most timelines, they lack the positive influence of genuine human connection and a mother figure so only have Nolan to shape their ideology into the will of the Viltrum empire and not morality that ''our'' mark strictly adhears to.

Honestly in a timeline where Mark doesn't stand against Omniman, defying them is really the dumbest thing Earth could do. So ok you killed Omniman but you took out an entire continent and a majority of the planets population to do it.
Now you have Mark imprisoned, but he's an alien that is basically immortal and gets stronger with age. He has nothing but time to spend and you dont. The fact that his expression doesn’t change at all even when he emotes with his voice is scary. It’s like he’s an actor.
Here’s my theory for why this Invincible joined his dad, and it’s because of Robot.
Robot in this universe didn’t get a new body, which means he didn’t give the Maulers the schematics for the control collar, which means that they never revived Immortal in time to fight Omni-man.
Because Mark didn’t witness Omni-man kill Immortal, and they likely defeated the Kaiju together, Mark would be more willing to listen to Omni-man and eventually come around.

Apart from the universes where Nolan raises Mark as a Viltrumite, mostly it was Eve's death which caused him to snap and turn evil
Omni-Man oppressing people is bad but somehow it's ok if your government does it.
I agree with your point
Like some other people have said, I imagine this is a universe where Debbie died from childbirth, or Omni-Man just stole Mark to raise him alone
or Debbie is simply dying of cancer
Not stole if he one of the parents
@@basillah7650 One of the parents can also kidnapp child if he does not allow the other to see child, if the other parent it is not forbidden to see the child by the court
@@basillah7650 you can kidnapp your own kid since its not your kid alone the mother shares custody ( and during divorces if you dont have custody over the kid thats another case of kidnapping )
It was interesting to find out that in most realities, father and son *do* team up and this is what happens to Earth. The Earth of the reality that we're watching is *VERY* lucky indeed.
i like that dynamic of a superhero movie/series with the father and son being evil type shit, its kinda something else
i need more ep's in this timeline
In my opinion; Mark of this universe(or any other universe where he is evil) gained his powers when he was a little kid, so Nolan started to inform him about his true goal about Earth when he was a child.(and also he started to kill super heroes or villains earlier so robot couldn't clone Rex) In the main universe in which Mark having his powers so lately, Nolan didn't have much expectation from Mark when he was elementary. In the post credits scene of Atom Eve's episode, from the impression of Nolan's face we understand how he was thinking of killing his wife and son when Mark did silly things with bandages. Nolan forsaked doing that but he lost his faith in Mark so he didn't feel to tell the ultimate goal about his race when Mark was young.
This guy straigh up slaughters 90% of earth then gaslights em
Mark just gas lighted the entire earth
*He can still be with Eve.. Even when she is paralysed.. 💀😬💀*
i like how the background people just stands there having no reaction when he falls down the portal
