Love how the last breath of air he takes is from the thinnest part of atmosphere he could possibly reside in before pushing on into space. I would normally accuse this of being ill thought out, yet I also feel like it lends itself to how tough a Viltrumite is, physically. They really _don't_ need that much oxygen, so ground level or upper atmosphere, Mark doesn't even notice.
I haven’t read the comics, but from what I can gather from the series, I bet Viltrumites can recycle their oxygen supply from what they have in their lungs. This is probably why Mark needs to go back to the atmosphere after getting the wind knocked out of him by Allen. In other words, humans take in oxygen from the air and convert to CO2. Then plants convert the CO2 in the air to breathable oxygen. Viltrumites are probably capable of doing both within their bodies. But since Mark is young and just discovering his powers, his dad probably advises him to take a deep breath before going to space.
Yup, before i thought that they would only use a very minute amount oxygen that's in their system to make it last longer but that might make them weaker so yeah, now i think that they can make their own oxygen if they have some in their lungs, that's why Omni man could be in space for weeks and not suffocate.

What I always wondered is why hasn’t Nolan or any of the guardians ever killed Allen at this point? Like mark is the first to find out he’s an evaluation officer but at this point I’m sure Nolan could kill him easily.

I never read the comics, but Allen is actually as powerful, or more powerful than Omni-man and kills some of his race later. So Allen is at the wrong planet, but I think Omni-man was at Urath to take it over before.... so it's actually a hint.
It's quite easy really. Allen doesn't know Nolan is a Viltrumite ("all you bioptics look the same to me") and Nolan never actually cared who Allen was because every time he appeared Nolan would just whip him up in five seconds, no time to talk or anything.
