Also I have an interface which has 2 primary unbalanced XLR inputs, there is another 2 balanced XLR inputs but I can't record audio through these inputs (inputs 3&4 on the steinberg UR44). And idea on how to get the interface to use the last 2 inputs rather than the first two

I recently lost my job and have been revisiting projects that might make money mainly my podcast and possibly a look into Voiceover work. I fond myself trying to figure out things that I hadn't done in Audacity for over a year. I will say without a shadow of a doubt that your video is the best video on Audacity I have ever laid eyes on!!! I am a fan. 34:27 ...dude, this is a game changer for me Josh. I at first didn't understand the importance of "noise gate"...until I thought back at all the times I've gone through and silenced out breathing, creaking chair, etc, something I sometimes put off doing in audacity and physically cut up with FCPX. Bam. Simplified.
I'm conflicted here. I want everyone to know about this channel...then again, I like feeling like I have a sound guru that nobody knows about haha
So glad I found you bro.

I have always dreamed of doing voiceover work and this video has really helped me to know where to start to get a good sound, especially when I can't afford a super great room setup. Thank you!

Brilliant tips ,sir, you have really helped me. I only started recording myself playing classical guitar and it has been a mass of confusion about gear, daws, etc, etc,. Thank goodness for your videos you have been godsend not only that but your right on the point as a teacher. Thanks very much.
