Hi Roman, Thank you for your down to earth episodes esp. on the X-T3. Having bought one myself, and being mature/dyslexic, could I kindly request you to do a series of XT3 step by step guide. I don’t understand half of the jargon (dyslexic) like difference of focuses spot, etc... histogram and why? Why RAW etc. Might sound basic, but I love taking photos but get confused how. This would be much appreciated along with a photography guide. Keep clicking, keep inspiring be well ta x
Nice review. The X-Pro 3 can focus down to -6 EV, a huge improvement. Considering it has the same sensor and processors as the X-T3, it is a good bet the X-T3 will get it too at some point.
Roman Fox - IBUS would be perfect in combination with their primes. Considering they originally said their mount wasn’t big enough to have IBIS, then they produced the XH-1, and Panasonic and Pentax has had IBIS in smaller bodies, so maybe it’s a matter of technology and patents. I’m not a film-maker, so personally not concerned if they separate out the film features to an XH-2, but would really like the IBIS in return in the XT-4.

I am a semi pro shooter, mostly for American football. The main camera is a Nikon D500 with a 70 to 200 2.8 , and I have been using a Sony a 6300 50mm 1.8 for sideline photos and celebrations after scoring. I need to switch back-and-forth immediately between cameras, and the Sony will take several seconds to start up, often make me miss pictures. Does the XT3 start up immediately? That is, from a cold start with the camera switched on, how long to take a shot.
Great video. I really like the traditional knobs for speed, aperture compensation and ISO, but that’s the only reason I would have considered it over a G9. I decided to go with Panasonic instead...
Fuji can shoot RAWs in lossless compressed mode and it truly is lossless. Puts the size of each raw to 20-30 MB. Other than that I really agree with you about how it's just plain fun to shoot with a Fuji camera. The knobs and aperture rings are a joy to use. I have an X-T2 and an X-E2 and compared to my Canon 6D mark 2, they just get used more because it's not such a hassle to bring all the equipment. The lenses are so small and just grabbing my messenger bag with my whole Fuji kit instead of dragging my huge Canon backpack makes for an easier experience.

I used to shoot Canon 5dm4 with best lenses in years prior to Fuji release. Now I look at those images, and I look at last year's images shot with Fuji in similar situations. Fuji colors are much better, colors in general, and the skin tones especially. Weather sealing is not that great on Fuji compared to Canon. On mine dials stuck together after mild exposure to rain. Hi, been thinking to go into photography street, portrait and in between, and I am aiming for fujifilm xt3 . Price range pre owned is around 950 euro body only with 3 batteries, charger and a simple grip is it a good deal? Do you have any advice when buying pre owned unit?

Can you just choose the filmsimulations for the RAW’s in lightroom? Or what program do you use? And if you could only keeps one lens for photo and video, which would it be?

I’m desperate now as at first it was for an upgrade but now I have no camera after falling into a river on Sunday, backpack, two cameras, 4 lenses, everything wrecked. Now just to get in touch with the insurance and hopefully they pay out
@@snapsbyfox Don't you have to convert the files or something? Been in touch with them and looks like they want to give me like for like, but both cameras and a lens are discontinued so they will have to give me the equivalent. I was hoping for cash so I can upgrade as I'd planned but if not and they give me the G7 X mk11 I'll keep that but for my 1300d it would be the 2000d, basically the same just a few more mber so I'll trade it 8j unopened and depending what I go for probably lenses too. I sent them the photos and links to the equivalent on Tuesday but heard nothing since.
I have the XT3 with the silver top; I don’t know whether it’s a special edition or something because I see mostly the full black versions on RUclips. Any ideas?
It's not a special edition. People prefer the black one because it's more discrete and also it ages more gracefully. Once it starts losing paint, it looks really nice. You can also easily hide the scratches with a black waterproof marker. I've got a black one and I like it.
I am noticing serious worms in your deer raw file. I see that you use Lightroom. I use the free Capture One for Fujifilm to import the RAF that I have selected and convert/export it to TIFF which I can edit in Lightroom or Photoshop. Worms should be gone by then.
What about AF-C? I get a lot of misses on my X-T3. Was once in service without any visible results. My Canon EOS-R and my Sony A7 III have absolutely no issue. In good light as well as in low light.
@@snapsbyfox I do get the issues with the 16-55 and 35mm F2, which are the new lenses, and in good light also. Will try also with the zone AF again. However it's not OK not to have the AF working properly and to try workarounds, I think.
@@snapsbyfox I already wrote that it was once in service without any visible results. Will send it tomorrow again. And again. Till it will be replaced or fixed.

Thank you sir
Great video! Feel better soon.
Great video Roman. Love this system as well.
@@snapsbyfox yeah man. Keep up the great work! I subbed!
Gorilla Tape, not Gaffers Tape. I have my X-Pro1 covered in Gaffers at all times protecting the hot shoe and ports. Killed one X-Pro, two are still kicking.
So, Gorilla tape is the best option?
You man have a new sub all the best from Austria
Hey Roman, I know this is an old video, but I just got my X-T3 and I my Peak Design links don't fit on the camera strap holes. How did you manage to do it on yours?
Use the split rings included in your strap kit.
Hi! I'm new to this channel and new to photography and i'm deciding which camera to buy. I'm choosing between the x-t30 and x-t3. Which camera would you recommend for starters? Advance thank you!
Oh snap it's Mike Thurston. Been watching his channel for a while.
Hi, been thinking to go into photography street, portrait and in between, and I am aiming for fujifilm xt3 . Price range pre owned is around 950 euro body only with 3 batteries, charger and a simple grip is it a good deal? Do you have any advice when buying pre owned unit?
Nice review, straight to the point, I'm actually still confuse and need more motivation to buy between xh1 with new crazy deal price or that xt3, which one you would prefer for better video and photo due to my work in wedding filming, I seen a few videos from youtuber said that xh1 have an issue on aliasing or moirè when in-camera slow mo at 60p or 120p fhd 1080, does the xt3 has the same issue?
I'm a little confuse is it cause only "in-camera slow mo mode" or everytime we use a fhd 1080 60p/120p will be always have that issue on editing apps?
Can you just choose the filmsimulations for the RAW’s in lightroom? Or what program do you use? And if you could only keeps one lens for photo and video, which would it be?
any chance we can get a 16-55 video, that shows some street photos you've taken/video? lol
trying to decide whether its worth the purchase for my videos
Sick channel man, can you do a video on how you shoot and edit video? (fitness video for example)
0:00 it's been about 12 moms, since i switched to the fuji system... My ears deceive me sometimes it seems but same
Wonderful review man. Do you think its worth spending the extra money to get the xt3 instead of the xh1? Specially with a stronger focus on video.
Roman Fox thanks for the reply man! Right now I’m shooting with a pocket 4K but I need an hybrid camera to carry everywhere, but like you mention, the xt3 for people with big hand isn’t the best thing. I’m wondering if the battery grip makes the camera more similar to the xh1 in terms of grip
@@snapsbyfox oh shoot, the xh1 I knew was with massive discounts, but the xt3 I had no idea. Are you talking about the fuji winter cashback?
Get the XT3 you wont regret it. Like Roman, we also got ours at WEX in London about a year ago and they offered a great discount on the original battery grip as well. We use ours for video production on a weekly basis and are extremely pleased with it.
Wow, dude. This is an amazing video!
Nice one!
Thank you!!
Hello! I am thinking of buying an X-T3 for still. I don't shoot videos. Would you say that this update equaled the performance between these two cameras (X-T3 and X-T4)?
Joel Cardslots... Great guy!
How do you find the built in color profiles that Fuji has in the RAW files?
Great review really appreciate how in depth it was your photos look very Hollywood cinematic like. May I ask what luts did you use? Also any thoughts on the Panasonic S1H
Overpriced body and system has no excellent glass
New subscriber here! Love ur content! I recently purchased Xh-1 because it has a great deal bnew these days. Do you recommend upgrading to xt3 or better wait for next year since xh1 might still be good. I haven’t fully utilized my xh1 yet due to lockdown but Xt3/4 is calling me to upgrade bro! Haha
Roman Fox thanks for replying bro! Would u recommend the 16-80 or 16-55? Price is almost same in my country.
Fuji xf80 mm 2.8 is stabilised!!
What do you think about the fringer adapter with the sigma 18-35 ?
Great video bud
Subbed🤙🏼
Good video mate. Get better... Man flu is a real issue. Subscribed
hi! nice video
Wich camera will you advice for 1000/1200€ ?
Mainly for picture of my daughter (3.5yo), portrait, family moment.
I'd like sharp picture and good autofocus for pivture and video.
I have d90 with lenses 50mm1.8g, 70-300mm, and 18-105mm
I like the fuji's look. i'm just regretting that the xt30 seems to over heating in 4k video and is limited in time for video. The xt3 seems better but not sure the autofocus is best than the sony a6500 or a6400. sony's cameras don't seem to have video limited in time recording, have good autofocus but lenses seems more expensive right?
I took a look at nikon z50 in case if i keep my lenses but not sure it's better than sony's and fuji that ijust talked. i don't know about canon's camera...some people advice to stay in nikon and buy a d7500...
Wich camera will you advice me? and wich lenses?
@@snapsbyfox hi Roman thank you for your answer and advice. i would like to know if the xt30 when recording in 1080 is time limited too or it is just in 4k?
@@snapsbyfox ok it's seems that It's 10min in 4k, 15min in 1080 for the xt30
Does the autofocus works while filming in 1080p 100fps ?
Hi Roman, I’ve never had a Fuji or am I any good with Lightroom, is it easy to edit Raw Files in LR/PS and converting them.
Great review! Where’d you find that brass shutter button
@@snapsbyfox Copped! Thank You
Nice Love the Xt3
What’s the stabilized lens you mention?
Well done.
great video, thanks very much!!
Thanks for the review!!
Whats all the hype about the XT3? I just bought a GH5!
Ontario Hiking Trails you honestly can’t go wrong with any of these modern cameras, we’re all spoiled. Happy shooting!
I didn't realize you couldn't record video to both cards at the same time.
2.13 Wait you did what?? o.o
Hello do you know how to check mileage fujiixt3?
I am noticing serious worms in your deer raw file. I see that you use Lightroom. I use the free Capture One for Fujifilm to import the RAF that I have selected and convert/export it to TIFF which I can edit in Lightroom or Photoshop. Worms should be gone by then.
Is capture one free for fujifilm users??
@@sepp540 There is a free Express version for Fujifilm users.
Really wonderful review!
Great vid !!
Someone tries to steal my 5D3 they’re getting beat with it lol.
What you think about the kit lens? Im getting one and i have to choose between the kit or a Prime f2
Roman Fox thank you so much
Which lense do u use for video
Good real world review
Thank you for the very informative hands on review! What do you use for editing your raw files?
Lightroom on ipad
nice review, thanks!
a silly question : does the shutter wear off after a number of pictures ? i know it has a mechanic and electronic shutter
stefan berindei mechanical shutters eventually wear out. Usually about 150k shutter actuations.
Jose Miravite Thanks for the answer :)
OMG... Gaffer tape... From a gaffer ie lighting specialist on a film set?? Mind blown
@@snapsbyfox ah apparently the one you're using is electrical tape, but gaffer tape is a wider black tape used indeed on film sets 😁
@@snapsbyfox Latest firmware on. 6/10 missed. Some not by much, 2/10, rest by more.
@@snapsbyfox I already wrote that it was once in service without any visible results. Will send it tomorrow again. And again. Till it will be replaced or fixed.
@@tebitan3780 A7 is stabilised. You may be using a stabilised lens with your EOS-R. Might just mean that after using those you are being a bit too casual with grip and the way you steady the camera when shooting. i.e you could just be having the problem due to camera shake.
@@delukxy really? At a max of 1/200 I don't think so. And I am getting with my old Nikon D5300 and the nifty-fifty prime perfect focused fotos at 1/60 secs, nevery went longer than that.
I hit the bell 🔔
what camera are you using to record this video though ?
XH1 - he says in the video...
I suggest you to record the video from different angle, I am sorry a little bit distracting with "unbalance spot" 😜🤣. I am.awaiting my XT3 arrival by today. I've decided XT3 over XT4 coz of the XT3 huge price drop and not much upgrade of XT4.
@@snapsbyfox I just tried few couple shots and when in Continuos mode, the screen freezed. Why this happen, you know? Even I couldn't turn it off, have to take off the battery out to stop the freezing 😲
How did you debadge the Fujifilm logo?
Looks like gaffer’s tape.
Ello from Portsmouth , got this flu as well , not good .. I've been considering fuji xt30 / xt3 for a few months now since my Ricoh Gr ll sensor got dust on it .. Good bye Ricoh, im very sad to say .. (No camera repair shop will fix it )... I think the way your xt3 has stood up to usage is impressive , and I'm gonna get an xt3 in the next month .. good real world review ... thanks for posting .. regards Simon .. ps hope your flu goes soon .. had mine for 20 days now .
Ricoh will fix your GRII. Dust affects some cameras owned by some people, depends on how you use it. Yes I know about the lens suck issue, but again better to make sure the lens area is clean before you switch off. Upgrade to a GRIII? that at least has a sensor vibrator to help keep it clean.
@@delukxy
Yeah thanks, unfortunately Ricoh will charge more than the camera is worth , and the Grlll according to some reports is having the same issues , despite the vibration system ..
I'm not really up for paying £800 for a flawed design that can put the camera out of action .. I've had Ricoh's since film days and I love them , absolutely superb lense which I'm really gonna miss .. so im thinking xt3 and the xf 16mm prime and I'm sorted .. Will need bigger pockets to stash it though ..
Thanks for your suggestion though .. regards.
