As a relative newbie, I'm SO happy to have found the combo of X-T4 and 16-55mm. (And lucky I could afford it). For where I am right now, it's making me take more interesting photos than my previous lazy f1.2 snaps on my 56mm prime etc! I fully expect to organically shift back to primes soon-ish. But what a journey and a happy time with the zoom right now. Loving your honesty. Your approach and vibe makes it easier for guys like me to feel free to explore a bit, without feeling like I'm "doing it wrong". My camera's giving me energy and I'm exploring how to start posting my pics online, and that's exciting enough for me right now :) Life 100% better with a camera than without. Well, maybe 30%! As an aside, my rule of thumb is looking for things that are 'emotional, pleasing, meaningful or mysterious' to photo. Having such triggers definitely increases reaction time, taste and consistency.
I love my X-T4. I picked it up two months and have zero regrets. I was frustrated though for about two weeks with that bad firmware update/Bluetooth problem, but it has been fixed. I'm happy that Fuji backs their products showmanship.
Yes, there are a ton out there who does objective reviews as well. Philip Bloom, Potato Jet, Gerald Undone, Thomas Heaton, Pal2Tech, Brandon Li, Andy Mumford, come on man lol Even Matti Haapoja who was really into Canon just switched to Sony.
I've had a Fuji System for about 2 and a half years now and shoot Gig Photography which is low light and harsh conditions at times and still find it fantastic. The backlit sensor is great and perfect for what I need. Am sure some full frame camera could do the same job, or maybe better, but not at the price I've paid for the fuji kit I have, or the size and weight of the camera and lenses. Plus these Fuji cameras are absolutely gorgeous which shouldn't be important... but is :)
APS-C has always been best for concerts. You need reach, and to move around a lot, and I've never been as miserable doing it as I was with a full frame camera. (D700) On APS-C an 85mm sub-F2 prime will do 95% of everything you need, but on full frame nothing that small will do it.
@@Vinterloft Yeah I love the reach of my 56m 1.2 at gigs. I've never walked away from a gig without any useable pictures no matter the light so am very pleased with the Fuji for it. I'd give a full frame a go given the chance but I never stand there wishing I had one.
Spot on. I am a Fujifilm XT3 user for about 3 years also and I have the same opinion about it. It´s the best quality/price/portability relation out there. For me, the most important characteristic is that due to its compact size it pushes me to shoot more and care less about gear I have to carry.
Switching from Canon to Fuji has been the best decision ever. Sony is one of those cameras people buy because they want to follow the crowd. Being able to shoot 4k f log with a 24mp sensore and how compact and cheap it is its a no brainer to switch. Dont get me wrong canon is amazing but having to spend over 3k to get 4k video and good images thats to much for me.
Yes! I was so nervous bc my familiarity and confidence is with Canon system, but when I took the big leap everything is soooo worth of learning again! And it's so much more fun!
Hmm what do you mean following the crowd? I own neither Sony nor Fuji but looking at the price of lenses it really is close, at least for a budget minded shooter like me. If sigma releases 1.4 trio on Fuji it would be a bit different story, but still, lens prices are close enough to make me consider Sony, just saying
To be fair, I'm currently contemplating to make the jump from Canon to Sony. I've been using a Canon R5 since it came out so around 2 years. And before that I've been using mainly Canon. However I've also used the Sony A6500 and A7M4/A7SIII on other occasions. I'm leaning towards changing the R5 for a Sony A7MIV. And no, that's not because I want to "follow the crowd". But instead, I think the A7MIV its features are very nice and it indeed, is cheaper then the R5 (also considering lenses). I'd be very curious to know why Fuji might be the better choice though! 🙂
Not necessarily, people go because there is way better options for lenses. I have problem finding good zoom lense. What I tried and looked on RUclips I don't like them
The fuji look is curious to me. Sometimes i need to shift the white balance slightly to keep it from getting carried away with colours, especially in the twilight hours
I got the XT4 about a month ago and the main thing I love about it is the film simulations. I'm a bit lazy with learning color grading as I feel I have a lot to learn about the camera first. The built in film simulations allows me to just focus on shooting the right shots, chopping them up in post with/without music and bam, upload. Overall the Fuji color science is unmatched imo. They don't get as much love as Canon or Sony in the video world at least but I think that will change soon.
Agreed. The 10 bit is amazing. Coming from Canon, and having used Sony's at work, Fuji makes it soooooooo easy to get the colours right. Canon was usually over-saturated like a pack of Skittles, and Sony often had poor colours (The A7S2 is legendary for being shit). The newer models are good, but I haven't had much experience with those. These days I only use film sims on my photos, with minor tweaks whereas in the past I would fiddle in Lightroom for much longer. Fuji sometimes can have a tint, but I guess one just needs to be careful with WB.
Lol so long as you stay in the family and never ever criticize a fuji or product, or the “family” will turn on you faster than you think. They will also tell you crop sensor full frame no difference as they all lust for medium format fuji cams.
Excellent video, thank you. I have used many Fuji bodies from an XE 2 to my current XT 4 plus a huge range of lenses. I concur with every thing you say. Being a mainly hobbyist photographer I don’t have the amount of use with my equipment as you but your video encourages me to continue to use these fine cameras.
A little off-topic but I first discovered you about a year ago when I got my xt3. The last 2-3 months I've gotten into analog photography but as I'm going to Italy in a few days I can't wait to break out the xt3 again. Just such a lovely camera. Thanks for your insights and reminding me how lucky we are to be able to use these amazing machines. Cheers and stay cool up there
After owning three different Fuji cameras (X-A10, X-T100 and now X-S10) I can say that freezing could be related to a type and/or brand of memory cards. Bought the X-S10 six months ago and it never froze with SanDisk memory cards. Fuji X-T100, that I owned before X-S10, did freeze more than couple of times while using Kingston cards. I went with SanDisk cards and never had any issues with my camera freezing.
Very thorough long term review on Fujifilm man. I agree with the angle of Fujifilm offering the best package for the money. When I bought the X100 original series 11 year ago, I knew I had found the right system (even with its quirks and issues.) Heck, I even started a RUclips channel about it and now I’m the host of FUJILOVE Conversations. It brought me more than just a good camera system, it brought soul and purpose to my photography and inspired my storytelling. Keep up the good work (and please buy an AC system ;)
It is actually good for events too, have been using it since X-T3 came out. My peers photographers (where I live) are still using DSLRs. They can't come close to what I do. I am like 10 levels above :))
I agree with exposure! I shoot Fuji as well, I have much better results exposing correctly, then editing moody if I want to. But under exposing is not good for quality. At all. My 2 cents.
I wish I knew that earlier. And that hidden setting for highlight warnings. I kept getting highlight warnings but didn't know it's only for JPEGs, and ended up with countless raws shot 3-4 stops underexposed. If not for Pal2Tech, I would have no idea how to fix it.
I lived with AC for over 15 years, can't be without. BTW: Spot on video on Fuji gear even with my years of usage; it's fun, small and easy to use. Although I'm sure Fuji knows you by how many youtube videos you;ve done.
The only reason I didn’t switch to fujifilm from canon and instead chose Sony was size. I tried holding a fujifilm xt4 in store abd multiple time it almost fell from my hands . I have big hands lol. People recommended a cage but I figured that would increase the weight so I went with the more ergonomic Sony a74 . If I had smaller hands I’d definitely get the xt4. Portable and just as good
Really appreciate this summation Roman, much respect to you for being so up front and honest!👍Followed you for some time and love your progress and take on photography. Thank you for doing what you are doing!👍🇦🇺🇬🇧😎Max
I found this video so much helpfull. Im a photographer from iran and im about to buy my first mirrorless camera, i currently using nikon d7000 with a 50mm prime lenz for more than 7 years, and i just wanted to find out how it feels like to have fuji for couple of years, and this is it! Thank you for making this video, it helped alot.🙏
Hello! I know it’s months later but I used to have D7000 and 50mm lens. I’m not sure which Fuji camera you’re looking at but it will be MUCH improved in every way compared to the D7000. AF, features and settings, etc will be much better. The weight will also be lighter and more compact since there’s no mirror for the viewfinder. I usually use Pentax full frame and Leica cameras after I sold the D7000. Now that I have Fuji xpro 3…my Pentax and Leica cameras sit in their bags and not used. I really enjoy the Fuji that much
I have a Nikon d850 full frame with 46mp. And I still use my Fuji film cameras more. The lenses are amazing. The bodies are light . I just wouldn’t use one in the artic with a blizzard like I would with a pro dslr body.
I live in the far north of Norway and have never had any issues in blizzards with Fujifilm from the X-T1 until today. The only camera to ever "fail" on me in a snowstorm was a Nikon D700, but that was because of the vertical grip contacts getting wet, just had to shoot without the grip.
Well done! A great and very informative video created under really adverse conditions. I live in NYC and air conditioning this summer has been a must. I felt so sorry watching you overheat!
I absolutely agree with everything you said, Roman. In fact, just a week ago, I was in a canoe that tipped over while I had my older camera on me in a money belt bag (xt2). At first, I thought that the camera and the lens (35mm, f2) were dead, but after several days drying in a bag with rice, they came alive! Of course, both need to be sent to be cleaned and somewhat repaired, but I am so impressed with the fact that after about 4-5 minutes in water they were not completely ruined! (Well, I'm also glad that that didn't happen to my xt4:).
This misconception that rice fixes all is kind of funny. Internal liquid damage will not be resolved by sticking enclosed devices in bins with rice. These devices have printed circuit boards in them, if even one drop gets in the wrong place, it will corrode and you'll be left with a paper weight. I'd like to see how people fair with silica gel packets, but I doubt it's much better.
Hi Roman. Been looking for a long term Fuji user to give a general ecosystem review as I'm just about to switch systems from Canon. Great video and I hope you manage to keep cool in that heatwave!
The XT-5 is my first Fuji and I’ve only had it in my hands for a few days. Coming from shooting Nikon DSLR’s professionally for 20 yrs, this is taking a bit of relearning but Omg the image quality and functionality is blowing me away.
I have been using 2 X-T2s since 2017, for work most days, for all kinds of photography from portraits to landscapes and journalism. Been rained on quite a bit and I have not had any problems or had to send them in for repair. But then again I do use a camera bag, and I do put the lens cap on and I do avoid smashing it against things. When I hear people say ‘it’s a tool and should be used like one’ as shorthand for ‘I treat this piece of electronics and glass like shit’, I have to laugh. Not all tools are hammers, what are you a plumber?
Great summary! I dropped my Fujifilm X-T3 with the 18-55mm lens attached from less than three feet. The camera was also in the camera bag. The lens mount separated from the lens and will cost me $250 to repair by Fuji. Sigh. I have had my X-T3 for a year and love it.
Thanks for this video. I was considering the Nikon D3500 as my first camera but the moment I saw the range FujiFilm offered, I was in love. This really helped me settle the debate. The D3500 is a great starter camera, as it appears. Yet this gives me the certain colour I want and the fact it's more tactile just seals the deal. Subscribed.
I have the xt 30 and I've used it every day for the last year and I love it only down side is the auto focus has issues sometimes. Also having used Canon,Sony,Nikon and Olympus I think fujifilm makes some of the best lenses.
Excellent video Roman, very comprehensive review! I am keeping my X-H1 and XT-20 for all my outdoor street and creative work, but have gone back to Nikon for my headshot studio work.
Pick up a vintage Vornado table fan that's been fixed up. They look great, and I even aim it at the back of my desktop when it's on. It will add years to it's hard drive and screen life. Plus, their deco style and blue green color are very jazzy. And, pretty quiet.
Thank you Sir, an interesting review especially considering how impossible it was to do anything in that heat... there was a lot of solar wind due to a coronal hole on the Sun. My Fujifilm gear gets looked after pretty well... the cameras are fair, not as durable as some, but the lenses do better...
The DR is a wee bit inferior... But I enjoy the convenience and it just makes me want to shoot more. I have a high end Nikon and lenses... But it's just so unpractical
Loved my Fuji X100V but it got wrecked by water damage and they wanted near full price to replace it. Definitely not a brand for great weather sealing but the image quality and fun of using them somewhat makes up for it.
I agree 100% I don't care who makes my camera - as long as it does what I need to do then I'm happy. But as all cameras are pretty well capable of amazing IQ these days, it came down (for me) to the user experience. And Fujifilm (again, for me) pressed all the right buttons (pardon the pun). I find Fuji cameras a joy to use, and quickly came to prefer their mode selection method over a standard PSAM dial really quickly. The fact that the GFX100S has gone over to a PSAM dial is the major reason for me not wanting one as an upgrade from my 50R. Customer service - I've had 1 lens repaired and turnaround was 48 hours from dropping it off at my local Fuji camera shop to getting it back. This weather is something else though. The (far from scientifically calibrated) thermometer on my north facing back wall reached 34 degrees on Tuesday. It's the hottest I can ever remember.
I bought the X-T2 that I still use maybe 5 years ago, almost entirely for the WR. I actually wanted the X-E3, but I'm a hardened traveller in varying extreme climates. About 2 years ago the mech shutter failed, and I have tried to contact fujifilm about it, however they told me that they only service it in the country of purchase. 😒 My X70 also has dust, and the XF18 stopped auto focusing entirely. However, I'm yet to find the value and features on another platform.
last week i got a new X-H1 with 2 fujinon lenses 35mm 1.4 and a 56mm 1.2 all for 900. I have been so impressed with the bokeh, never tried a aspherical lens and wow its so nice. My photos look almost like medium format, coming from a canon eos r, super impressed. 😮💨🔥🎞️📷
This video is making me more tempted to buy an XT-3 with 18-55mm f/2.8-4 or 23mm f/2 lens as my everyday shooter simply because of the analog like controls and the look and colors of the images. I love shooting film but it can get expensive, and because I’m a micro four thirds user. Overexposing and easily recovering highlights is something I’m already used to as micro four thirds sensors work in a similar fashion. With my Olympus OM-D E-M5 III and Lumix G9 being able to recover blown out highlights that only full frame users could dream of doing. Hence why they have to underexpose. So I may be looking into a Fuji XT-3 or XT-4 to get in the summer.
i came from sony aps-c about a year ago, thinking about getting a sony 35mm or another brand, so i sold my sony stuff, got an x-t4 and i'm very happy as a fuji-user. the lenses are not cheap, but they are very well-built, offer great image quality and i enjoy the tactile camera design. it helps me focus on whats important. i also think that a camera that does not look too intimidating is preferable when shooting streets. thank you for sharing your experiences with fujis customer support, especially in terms of weather sealing. i was always a bit worried to use my camera in the rain, but they seem to be really great in case anything breaks. keep up the great work roman! found your channel about 3 weeks ago and i really like the stuff you do, especially the photowalks. greetings from 20°C Berlin to 30°C London
You hit on all the positives. I was expecially impressed with how Fuji offers firmware updates on all its cameras and lenses, Even one replaced by newer models.
I was so worried about battery life when buying the XT3 a few years ago, but its not a huge deal. The aftermarket batteries work fine (not quite as long), but buy like ~5 of them and one or two fuji batteries and its not a problem ever for any situation for the lifetime of the camera. I would never consider "battery life" a make or break on a camera again after owning the fuji since the camera is sooo good.
Get a lightly used GFX 50r instead.. stellar for most anything, but of course not action or wildlife (if you have a x100, I won’t assume you’re into action or wildlife)
I have Fuji, Canon, Olympus. Only Canon (1DX, 7DII, 5DIV) and Olympus OMDs can handle downpours. I also literally wash the cameras after a day under exposure to salt. For travel, Olympus. Always. IBIS works a true charm.
As an x-pro2 fan, I just wish Fuji would still be doing the Kaizen (continuous improvement) firmware updates for their latest film simulations. I dont think that would cost them much to do while not keeping folks from not purchasing newer models. In fact, I think getting back to one of the core principals that initially made Fujifilm cameras so great would help them againt Nikon, Sony and... of course there are limits, but Kaizen should not only apply to bug fixes to the firmware for the latest models.
Enjoyed your review, very informative. You confirmed it for me, I will stick to my Pro Canons for wedding and architecture, and purchase an XT2 for travel and street photography. Thank you👍🏻
Good to see you have been on Snowdon! When you think of people like Eric Bouvet, documentary, Saraya Cortaville, Portrait & Travel, both hard core pros use Fuji you just have to believe in their quality. By hell you are rough on your cameras, did you use to break lego bricks as a child lol. Sure as hell I will not go back to Nikon, 6 bloody weeks and under G/tee 2 months after purchase. Fuji are just so good to use, almost begging you to take them out. I have found the battery lasts well on my XT3 and 100V but the back screen is off and I shoot to edit.
There are only few lenses I like but having problem finding very sharp zoom lense in area 70-300 mm and the ones Fuji got is really crap to me in rendering colours, so thinking getting second body from different brand
Thank you for your experience with Fujifilm, still holding on to my X70 and looking into an X-T in the near future. I agree with the Fuji look, usually a small S curve will do for me, currently testing film sims.
I wish I had the same customer service you've had. Fuji advised they would fix my XT-4 which stopped working after it got wet. They duly sent me a box and 10 days later sent it back unrepaired because of 'liquid damage and corrosion throughout'. They claim on their website I should have no concerns with rain and other weather extremes.
I've used various Sony cameras since 2008. Right now I only have one main camera with a set of really nice Sigma I series primes (compact, metal, with an aperture ring) that will keep me in the system for a while. My wife has an X-T3 and I recently rented an X100V for 3 months. Great little camera, I enjoyed using it on vacation and took many more shots than usual. But I never felt that using Fuji was like using a camera and using Sony or another brand was like using a computer. It was all the same, but maybe that's just my experience.
That's quite interesting because if anything, FujiFilm has some of the most accommodations resembling old-fashioned cameras with all its top dials and interactable buttons, even with the very styling of these features. This contrasts quite heavily with the more modern look of Sony/Canon/Panasonic cameras that subdue that old-fashioned aesthetic from previous generations of photography equipment.
Fresh out the box it was overheating in my house with my ac set to 74 with all fans turned on. I shot some stills then went to movie mode to catch 4k footage at 60fps and after 5 min it overheated
Learnt a lot about Fuji camera system's usability and in what situations the system strikes pauses which is really a nightmare for heavy weather condition photography and it cannot be more so docile anyway otherwise than a Fuji system user of your stature! It's a big issue the system fails despite being weather sealing equipment in unison with the expensive weather sealed lenses; no, I'm not concerned that the camera stuck to be responsive when exposed to heavy rain because battery performance falls directly with the fall of temperature but letting some batteries in places where they could be kept warm and dry can serve the problem of shutting down but if the weather sealing fails to deliver in heavy rain for sipping in water or moisture in the system in times of emergency, it's no brainer to go for a huge expenditure rather than trying other camera brands with peace of mind! What's your take on this and what other camera brand you use or prefer to use instead of Fuji system?!
I bought my XT-3 with the 18-55mm at the perfect time it seems, got it for £1149 all in and they are asking more than that Body Only now. I do have a small scratch on my lens, I think that’s due to not having a lens hood on when using a black rapid style sling strap when waking through woods but it’s fine and causes no issue to photos. Never had it freeze up though.
I live in Arizona and 30C is pretty typical in October. Was your camera overheating because of the room and shooting video? I don't shoot video. I'd like to know it stands up to 45C.
Thanks for the very thorough review! My use/abuse is very similar in that I'm taking my camera out in extreme conditions and don't/can't baby it. However, it's stood up exceptionally well and has always bounced back despite being submerged fully in water, multiple heavy rainstorms in the mountains, moisture/humidity to the point where my EVF is completely fogged out, sand etc to name a few 😅. Except the last time but that was my fault completely (I left it outside my tent accidentally in a heavy rainstorm overnight). Can I ask approximately how much Fujifilm has charged you when you send the body in to be serviced for the water damage you had talked about (ie. When water leaked in through the screen?). Debating whether to try to repair or just upgrade from a well loved XT2. Thanks!!
Must admit I was surprised when you said the x-t cameras are not particularly good for event & sport photography. I shoot event & sport extensively, although not exclusively, and would not consider changing to full-frame at any price. I bought an x-t2 way back when you had to join a queue to get one, with the groslsy underrated 18-135: lovely lns & I still wish I didn't have to p/x it to afford the 16-55 😣. However, I've organically grown the system to the point where I now permanently carry the 16-55; 50-140 & 100-400+1.4t/c; with x-t3 & x-t4 bodies, in a Lowe Slingshot bag on my e-bike, some 20 miles or so, to my local surf spots year-round. Try that with a full-frame rig! I've consistently shot surfing, mtb, rock concerts, festivals, coastal storms, yadda yadda... In company with many other Togs & never once heard a comment that my shots are 'only APSC' or inferior in any way other than due to operator error.
Today, June 2024, do you think for sports you are ok with xh2s or u still suggesting Sony a9/a9ii? Im on A7RIII with 200-600 atm. Ty Roman, excellent content on your channel.
Very interesting!!! But I can tell you that with an x-s10 and xt4 - 16-50 and some lenses at 1.2 and 1.4 I've done a whole season of weddings with no problems : ) (and I used sony ff for a very long time, no reason to comeback)
I dropped my xt2 and and 16-80 mm lens on concrete. 😩..but it is fine. Top tip: keep the plastic lens hood on, as it protected the lens. The lens didn't touch the ground directly, and the impact was absorbed by the flexible plasticky lens hood. As for the camera body, it is scratched, but that is it. Phew
I added my cameras to my house and contents insurance. I often buy 2nd hand and find it useful if I lose or have gear stolen - figure broken would work too. Managed to pick up a really decent XPRO2. Here in the UK MPB have an XPRO1 going for less than £250 - might be a better option.
Finally a no-bullshit discussion. Maybe a line of silicone sealant around the screen. Trying to decide between Olympus and Fujifilm for survival videos.
Been on Sony mirrorless since 2018, a7iii and now a7iv. I use it for work but now I don’t feel like taking it for my personal photowalks as it feels a bit heavy. I feel like getting a nice light weight Fuji, anyone else feels the same like me ?
It’s a 1 year warranty in the UK as well, though FujiFilm have some preferred retailers and if you buy from that retailer, fujifilm offers a 2 year warranty. Repairs cost post warranty e.g. an x-t4 costs £180 to send back outside of warranty
Had a couple of Fuji camera's years ago and after using other systems would not buy Fuji. That said, the XT-3 and 4 were on my shall I buy list but I went full frame with Nikon Z7. I have crop sensor cameras which I use and with a pro lens can get some great images but when I upgrade it will probably be Cannon or Sony full frame.
Mental note: do not buy any second hand camera bodies from Roman Fox!!
Good video, cheers.
hahah yeah i agree
🤣🤣🤣👌
This is exactly what I was thinking! 😜
I was thinking the same thing, no used gear from Roman
It's fine to buy second hand from those who love their stuff.

@@joeltunnah Yeah I grew up with the old Zenith cameras so have always liked that aesthetic and Fuji do it better than anyone nowadays.

Thanks dude! I am new to Fujifilm community and really thankful for the support and teachings from people like yourself.
@@professionalpotato4764 Yea I’ve heard about the Fuji green tint that can happen but so far no issues with that yet.
@@calumetdarren Yeah, for serious stuff I always use WB cards and X-rite checkers so never really had that issue either.
I love now being part of the Fujifilm family 🍏 it’s the best!
Very informative content...These kind of long term user experience really helps to take a right decision... You're the best...
Someone who actually provides an honest review at last! Thanks for this
My say about fuji: fun, quality, value for money.
Although I'm sure Fuji knows you by how many youtube videos you;ve done.
are you british
I appreciate that you’re able to speak to what you like about the Fujifilm system while honestly discussing it’s deficiencies.
Straightforward, clear and honest. Great thoughtful review Roman.
15:21 This is definitely my favourite photo that you've taken. This should be printed
Great video. I appreciate your APS-C discussion starting at 14:00. I've had pros tell me that there is no reason for APS-C anymore.
hahahah at the reply to this. ah yeah ive had a fair share of 'pros' tell me what I need to do too lol
Oh man I’m a m4/3 shooter and if I had a nickel every time I’ve heard that!
I really enjoy the Fuji that much
I’ve had the X-T4 for about a month and it’s easily the best piece of kit I’ve ever owned.
Rule of thumb for prosumer weather sealing: if you are getting soaked, so is your camera’s insides!
Great rain photos! Worth every DROWNED a fuji! 😂
I have simply used a plastic food bag with cutout holes to protect my gear in the rain sometimes, well worth it to save my gear!
I felt so sorry watching you overheat!
haha yeah both me and the camera were not in a good way after
Love the deer in the fog shots!
I totally agree with your comments regarding Customer Service in the UK. Exemplary in a word.
Agree.
What are the af issues you have faced?
Thanks for this, a great summary of the system as a whole!
Been watching your vids for a bit now, just now realized i follow you on instagram, and bought your presets! Love them, and love your content. 👍🏼
Thank you Sir, an interesting review especially considering how impossible it was to do anything in that heat... there was a lot of solar wind due to a coronal hole on the Sun. My Fujifilm gear gets looked after pretty well... the cameras are fair, not as durable as some, but the lenses do better...
It's really hot in the UK now. Great video as usual!
watching this is 2022...as an amateur street shooter this video is super helpful
Thanks a lot for the video. Awesome!!!
The photograph of the trees at 15:23 is simply awesome. Please can you tell us how it is done. Thanks 😊
Got my X-T4 and 16-55 in no small part due to your videos. Fujifilm, take care of this man!
if you want typical-raw flatter images, then just shoot in Eterna or Pro Neg Standard. Fuji does it all
The DR is a wee bit inferior... But I enjoy the convenience and it just makes me want to shoot more. I have a high end Nikon and lenses... But it's just so unpractical
Never had a single freeze on any Fuji camera, but then again, I also take care to used Sandisk 300mb/second SD cards, so they are blazingly fast
Loved my Fuji X100V but it got wrecked by water damage and they wanted near full price to replace it. Definitely not a brand for great weather sealing but the image quality and fun of using them somewhat makes up for it.
Thank you for your free and true opinion.
You have a nice, honest style. Thanks.
I agree 100%
I don't care who makes my camera - as long as it does what I need to do then I'm happy.
50R is a future classic! yeah a little toasty haha
what is a local fuji camera shop? And what kind of luck do you need to live next to one?
I bought the X-T2 that I still use maybe 5 years ago, almost entirely for the WR. I actually wanted the X-E3, but I'm a hardened traveller in varying extreme climates. About 2 years ago the mech shutter failed, and I have tried to contact fujifilm about it, however they told me that they only service it in the country of purchase. 😒
My X70 also has dust, and the XF18 stopped auto focusing entirely. However, I'm yet to find the value and features on another platform.
Really appreciate your candid review, subscribed.
last week i got a new X-H1 with 2 fujinon lenses 35mm 1.4 and a 56mm 1.2 all for 900.
Thanks for an excellent review.
i came from sony aps-c about a year ago, thinking about getting a sony 35mm or another brand, so i sold my sony stuff, got an x-t4 and i'm very happy as a fuji-user. the lenses are not cheap, but they are very well-built, offer great image quality and i enjoy the tactile camera design. it helps me focus on whats important. i also think that a camera that does not look too intimidating is preferable when shooting streets.
thank you for sharing your experiences with fujis customer support, especially in terms of weather sealing. i was always a bit worried to use my camera in the rain, but they seem to be really great in case anything breaks.
keep up the great work roman! found your channel about 3 weeks ago and i really like the stuff you do, especially the photowalks. greetings from 20°C Berlin to 30°C London
Cheers!
Another right on the money video Roman, thanks.
You hit on all the positives. I was expecially impressed with how Fuji offers firmware updates on all its cameras and lenses, Even one replaced by newer models.
Thanks! Nice review and confirmed my intention on going fujifilm in the future after I sild out my micro 43 system avyear ago for financial reasons
What a super video, it’s so good to see and enjoy content which is honest and understated. I like less heavy cameras so it is food for thought.
As always very informative video. Thanks mate 😘
I love Fujifilm. I’m slightly brand loyal. I’ve been eyeing canon lately but if I switch I’ll atleast keep a x100 camera
I have the Canon EOS R but got my hands on an XT-30 for a month and now I'm dying to get a Fuji as my 2nd camera. Deciding between then XT-30 or X-S10
Thank you Roman. Very well made
There are only few lenses I like but having problem finding very sharp zoom lense in area 70-300 mm and the ones Fuji got is really crap to me in rendering colours, so thinking getting second body from different brand
Hey man, what are the blue lights in the background? Love the aesthetics of that!
Thank you for your experience with Fujifilm, still holding on to my X70 and looking into an X-T in the near future. I agree with the Fuji look, usually a small S curve will do for me, currently testing film sims.
I love how simple things are with you and yet your photos are fantastic.
The system can only get better! Tamron has recently released a lens for the Fuji X mount.
really?which one is that?
@@whaggwhagg 18-300mm and more lenses to come
@@scot0811 good to know thanks man
Learnt a lot about Fuji camera system's usability and in what situations the system strikes pauses which is really a nightmare for heavy weather condition photography and it cannot be more so docile anyway otherwise than a Fuji system user of your stature!
Never had it freeze up though.
very well made video man, great job!
I live in Arizona and 30C is pretty typical in October. Was your camera overheating because of the room and shooting video? I don't shoot video. I'd like to know it stands up to 45C.
I live in dubai and yesterday it was 48. I shot outside, for 30 minutes with zero issues. Yes the camera was hot. But didn’t overheat
Hi! Any thoughts on the ISO? I love shooting at night and my now old canon is giving me awful noise at ISO 800.
So far I only had great experiences with Fuji :)
Same here x100, x100f, xpro2, xpro3 loved them all
best fujifilm video...... I am moving to fuji
Very interesting!!!
But I can tell you that with an x-s10 and xt4 - 16-50 and some lenses at 1.2 and 1.4 I've done a whole season of weddings with no problems : )
(and I used sony ff for a very long time, no reason to comeback)
I dropped my xt2 and and 16-80 mm lens on concrete. 😩..but it is fine. Top tip: keep the plastic lens hood on, as it protected the lens. The lens didn't touch the ground directly, and the impact was absorbed by the flexible plasticky lens hood. As for the camera body, it is scratched, but that is it. Phew
My Fuji XPro1 broke last week. They quoted me almost $1,000 to fix. So sad because I love my XPro1. I just bought it last year too.
Excellent overview sir.
Is the free repairing service last for lifetime in UK? The warranty only last a year here
It’s a 1 year warranty in the UK as well, though FujiFilm have some preferred retailers and if you buy from that retailer, fujifilm offers a 2 year warranty.
