    I got the X-T2, and I learned from experience that the X-T30 is more than enough camera for me. I’m too casual to be spending $1k+ on a body. I don’t even need extra batteries most 99.9% of the time.
    I love that Fujifilm don’t cripple their consumer bodies so I can blow all the rest of my money on lenses.

      @@Penta_Penguin_237 I bought some cheap 3rd party batteries, came in a two-pack with a charger as well. They hold a charge about as well as the Fuji batteries. I would say they are 90-95% the same for a fraction of the price. I just carry them as spares.

    Can't hold it back any longer.
    Omar, you are one of the funniest and most sympathetic persons I've ever seen.
    Love your work and looking forward to each and every video you put up here.
    Your content is very helpful and presented in your unique way, which is entertaining big time.
    Thanks and keep it going.
    Back to topic, I'm about to buy my first top cam.
    So far I shot with a Lumix FZ18 Bridge Cam and now I'm using a Sony Nex-5.
    I'm still learning to shoot completely manual and the Nex-5 is a good start.
    I'm not quite sure if I should go for the X-T30 or the X-T3.
    It's a 600 € difference (Greetings from Germany) but the XT-3 does have a lot of additional features.
    WR, Tethering/Live View (just bought Capture One 12 Pro for Fuji for 125€), 4K 60, better EVF, Battery Grip available, 3.5 Mic/Audio Jack, Dual Card Slot.....etc.
    Do you think all the advantages of the X-T3 are worth the extra money?
    I know it's always individual but maybe you have an opinion based on your own experiences with the different systems.
    By the way I'm a hybrid shooter.
    Thanks a lot and have a great day.

      Thank you TONS for the kind words. After reading the forth line, I thought there would be a huge "BUT" and they you were going to hate on me. Lol. Appreciate it. Honestly can't give a definitive answer as I haven't played with the XT30 yet. However, coming from that Lumix, I think the XT30 might be too small and wimpy for your hybrid style of shooting. The 4k 60 is a sweet bonus as well as the EVF!! However, if we're talking budgets and money...the smaller series cameras have the same sensor and processors...so there's that. Good luck!

      Wow. That's been fast.
      Appreciate it.
      I know that the X-T30 isn't available yet and so it's not possible to compare it so far.
      Didn't think that it'd be so hard too choose a cam.
      Forgot to mention that I'm thinking about getting a used X-H1 as well, cause of the IBIS.
      Or wouldn't you recommend this one compared to the other two?
      Oh boy..... I'm sooo...... arghhhhhh.
      Well..... X-H1 vs. X-T3 vs. X-T30
      ..... can't go wrong with each of them I think.
      Thanks again for getting back to me and all the best for you and your family.

      Gunnar Becker I’d get the XT3 if I’m not in a budget. XT30 if you want to spend less or you don’t need 4K 30p and dual card slots.

      @escalibur8437 5 лет назад +1

      First of all thank you for all your info.
      Yesterday I found an offer for the X-H1 I couldn't resist.
      Body incl. XF 18-55mm for 1474 $.
      I'd pay the same price for the X-T30 with the 18-55 and for the X-T3 plus the Lens even 2147 $.
      Of course all brand new.
      In comparison and since I'm new to this kind of cameras/photography it's the best bang for the buck for me.
      If I'd getting that far making money with it I'd upgrade my gear anytime.
      ... and I'm not complaining about saving some money and still getting one of the best cameras out there, specially after the latest FW Update.
      The additional features of the X-T3 ain't that important to me and I prefer the IBIS to be honest.
      Hopefully my order gets approved and I get the X-H1 asap.
      Have a great day everyone.
      Happy shooting.

    Omar, if you want to zoom in to check focus on the non touch screen Fuji's, you can just press the rear command dial once and it will do a max zoom in on the focus point (at least on XT2). Even quicker and more reliable than double tapping a touchscreen in my opinion.

      @@navyrasrisansuk5327 Hi. The Sony is a very nice camera and very capable. I do not like to do a ton of post processing and to me, Fuji just has a lot better out of camera JPG ability than Sony. I find Sony's colors to be somewhat generic for lack of a better word. The only thing I will miss is the on board stabilization. My tests with the X-T3 auto focus in video have been comparable to the Sony. I actually prefer the X-T3 in low light vs the Sony. I know the Sony is technically more capable of cleaner low light photos, but the X-T3 noise has a nicer look to it if that makes sense. There are some minor things that Fuji put in place as well, but I will not get into that. Also...I always thought FF was a must have for me, but I do not feel that way any more. Also...Fuji firmware updates, that include new items, are second to none

      @@mjstowe1 Hi there. Can you elaborate on the colors between Sony & Fuji. I'm planning to switch to mirrorless, been eyeing the A7iii or XT3. Came from Canon and in my experience canon files are easy to edit, less editing time to make it look beautiful from raw compare to Nikon. Are Sony's file really difficult or take some time to edit same as Nikon granting Nikon also uses Sony sensors ??

    • @mjstowe1
      @mjstowe1 5 лет назад

      @@dezaremos5944 Hi. Sony images are fine. They are easy to edit in my experience. I was simply referring to the fact that Fuji has the Fuji film modes available in their camera for stills and video. Basically they replicate the different (popular) Fuji Film looks. I am a black and white fan and Fuji Acros is just awesome IMHO. From there you can manipulate the look even more to match your personal preference with several options. For me, this just means I can get the look I am going for right out of the camera without the need for much post. For many, Sony probably does the same. I just prefer the out of camera look of the X-T3 jpgs over those of Sony.

    Sorry you had to say goodbye-so long-farewell to your X-T3. All your points are valid, esp. about this being tooo much camera for a lot of people. (I shoot professional sports, so it's a dream boat for me) It's one of the best hybrid (photo/video machines) out there for the price. On your comment around the 8:40 mark about the rear command dial--on my first copy, it was sticking sooo bad that I finally gave up on it, sent it back to B&H for a replacement, and got a copy that rotates smoother than the first. Whenever I would attempt to rotate the rear command dial on my original body I would have to put so much force into turning it that I ended up pressing in the dial 90% of the time. Not good. Got my new body yesterday and going to go out and shoot something.

    • @885wc
      @885wc 5 лет назад

      @S Tra it's not only about budget, it's about value, size, what exactly do you compromise one when being used in the real world, not necessarily on specs. How much lighter and smaller is one versus the other compared to a normal FF set up to travel with. As a 100% stills shooter (landscape and product), I most definitely did notice an improvement in image quality over my prior X-Pro2, especially in terms of absolute sharpness and detail rendition. Now, unlike most folks, I create large poster prints (up to about 30"x40"), and at those magnifications, I absolutely do notice an improvement in overall image quality over the previous generation of sensor and processor. Also, don't forget the awesome new vertical grip!

    Cool Omar, very informative - XT2 just dropped a bomb in price as sellers clear last of inventory - Just in time as the rubber grips and cover just peeled off my X-T1 after years of rough handling. As a predominately stills shooter, it looks good for my new purchase of the 2.

    Been looking at a lot of Fuji cameras recently and was considering the XT3 or XT30 but the price on a second hand XT2 has me leaning way more towards that as I primarily shoot photos not video :)

    In Jan I had a choice....... @ the time I had an xt10 wiv a 16-55 f2.8! Fuji dropped the price of XH1 wiv grip a lot. Cheaper than XT3. So I did half way house....... XH1 wiv grip and very very happy. Still have XT10! Luuuuuuuv it still!😊

    I would have definitely gone with an x-t30 instead of the x-t3, but, as it rains a lot here in Seattle, I needed something with WR. Was new to Fuji so X-T2 wasn't quite as appealing being the older model.

    Fuji I LOVE your flip SCREEN concept! They have in my opinion the best flip screen arrangement on the marked. Makes high/low photo a breeze compared to the Panny/Oly/Canon idea where you have to flip it all the way out before rotating etc which makes you miss the moment. 100% cudos to Fuji here. This vlogging-thingy is just for a few users compared to the large amount of photographers out there.

    Looking for a bit of advice here: used XT-3 and X-H1 are now in the same price range. X-H1 looks bulky, but has IS... (currently shoot a X-t20 and I am looking for a better / more comfortable EV). Thanks

  • @Thomas_Geist
    @Thomas_Geist 5 лет назад

    I realize this is an older video. X-t2 is actually $100 more than the T3. Go figure. H1 is $200 less and while a little bulky, technically a far better camera than either T. Fuji engineers - great. Fuji marketing and price structure - smoking some funny stuff. Who is going to buy a new fuji camera like the H1 when 10 months later they cut the price in 1/2. I saw $700 rebates on the T2 when the T3 came out and now it's back to $1599. If you buy a great fuji camera expect to not get much for it used due to no attempt to stop grey market and schizophrenic retail pricing.

    Still with my X-T1, shooting largely with the 27mm pancake and 16mm 1.4 - the only things I really want from the newer bodies are Acros film sim, compressed raw and better focusing. Not so much speed, but my X-T1 hunts too much even in single point, although I'm not sure how much difference the newer bodies make with the 27mm (and the 35 1.4 maybe) - any comments on that one specifically, compared to Gen 1?
