You always have the most unique list of games curated. Also the way you write and narrate is just soothing and eloquent.
Thanks Bobby, glad you enjoy the videos :)
TVGS is a hidden gem on RUclips, making videos about hidden gems!
Absolutely I agree with you. The lists of games that have been curated so far are amazing.
@@thatvideogamesshow Yeah that's why I watch your videos is because the games are unique. Every other game list is a carbon copy of each other
@@thatvideogamesshow he clicked because of the thumbnail
A message to the future generations..Don't let those legendary games die..🙏🙏❤️
God bless speed running
I’ll second that!
Individual from the Newer generation we won't let this awesome game dies
Sky blazer is one of my favorite games of all time. Nobody else seems to remember it
I loved that game in the 90s and it is still as awesome today
ISS Deluxe was my favourite SNES game and far from forgotten. Still very playable today. Nice list as ever.
Thanks Matthew!
Super formation soccer 94 final data best jogabilidade 100% manual
ISSD is a legend in South America. Entire parties around this game. How to forget Redonda, Berranco and Galfano.
@@gonzalotapia1250 Good to hear it's appreciated worldwide! It's the first game I play whenever I have a SNES itch to scratch.
Wow, this list took me back... And I mean way back!! Despite growing up with the NES, Sega Genesis and SNES, I had no idea some of these games existed - like Weaponlord. It looks brutal!
Glad you found something new man :)
Not just brutal visually. You're going to have to sweat to earn those fatalities.
Skyblazer is so heckin' good!
Also, as someone who gets motion sick, On The Ball about instantly made me nauseous 😂
Only one I played on here was Lufia, dang. As much as I love the Lufia series, the first one was absolutely filthy with fetch quests and got a bit repetitive.
Secret of Evermore is one of my favorite games sure it copied off of secret of Mana but it makes it up with great atmosphere and music.
That’s a solid game!
It was an awesome game
Here in Brazil International superstar soccer is so famous that people still mod and hack it.
You can buy cartdriges with the updated players and teams from the last world cup, for example
Again, some amazing looking games on my all time favourite system, the good old SNES.
So glad to see someone throwing Skyblazer some love. I’ve beaten that game so many times over the years simply because of how memorable and good it was. Beautiful sprites, cool music, relatively tight controls; it had it all. Good to see I’m not alone in these sentiments, judging by the comments. Great video!
Dude! Fantastic list!
I got lots of games from this video.
Thank you so much mate.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for leaving the name of the game up in the corner when your talking about it, so many channels say the name once or flash the game cover for 3 seconds and it makes it difficult to keep track of or log what games I want to add to the list, it's a small thing but very appreciated, thank you.
I knew Skyblazer, power instinct, Lufia (though I'd played Lufia 2) and weapon lord (which were later discoveries after snes was gone from stores) for me, and operation logic Bomb I only had got to play because of switch online but otherwise never heard anything about prior. And even the fact that power instinct appeared on your forgotten games is pretty cool.
For one other fighting game I found very impressive on the snes and robust for what it is (and better than street fighter alpha 2 on snes in my opinion) is Mizoguchi Kiki Ippatsu: Fighter’s History 2. It had a visual novel story mode following Mizoguchi, fast gameplay, a tag vs mode, training mode with a combo counter, and even a trial mode to learn combos which pre-dates every fighting game trial mode today (and of course survival, vs, and cpu battle). I always thought street fighter ex3 was the first.
I HOPE, we get this on switch online, at least JP switch online since it can’t appear on Johnny turbo’s arcade or neogeo since it was a super famicom exclusive.
Glad you found something new to play!
I remember Sky Blazer. Amazing game really. A big problem is that it had a very limited release in retails, and the only real way one would have been able to play it back in the day would be through store rentals, which were the most common.
You really are a master at the videos you make, showcasing a lot of games and giving great insight and backstory on each. Great video, TVGS! ⭐️⭐️
Thanks AJ!
You surely don't know Brazil. International Superstar Soccer Deluxe was, for a good time, the most played SNES game here. In fact the game alone started a phenomena of people buying consoles *JUST TO PLAY THE GAME* and it's sequels when the IP became known as Pro Evolution Soccer.
I love when people say "games you've never heard of" since I consider myself learned in the gaming sphere. Props to you I learned multiple new games and enjoyed the piece you put together.
Thunder Spirits DOES have autofire. It's just hidden in a secret config menu.
Awesome list! Any chance that you've played a game called S.O.S? It was a survival side scroller that took place on a sinking ship. The ship would slowly turn and break apart. Used to scare me when I was little.
I never see anyone talk about that game. Maybe it just wasn't that good.
Thanks Graham!
Was that on SNES?
@@GreenTeaViewer It was on SNES. simply called S.O.S. I believe SNES drunk might have done a video on it
On The Ball is such a criminally underrated game imo
So happy to see it get a spot on this list!👍👍😃
Thanks for the list, I've known Lufia series and Sonic Blast Man series before but not the rest.
As for obscure SNES games, what about Realm, Tairiku Burning Heroes, TimeSlip, Shadowrun, Treasure of The Rudras and Rendering Ranger? I knew these games from browsing internet, watching some youtube videos, browsing spriter resource and searching for certain game types.
You can turn on auto fire on SNES Thunder Spirits. In intro screen you have to press like R+L+Select or START or something like that. A Menu screen appears that you can turn that on , test music, etc...
"Thunder Spirits" = "Thunder Force" (its the japanese name of Thunder Force)
Used to love playing international superstar soccer back in the day, thanks for the nostalgia great video
Such a great game! Thanks for watching Marc 🙂
Operation Logic Bomb giving me serious Contra III vibes, can't wait to try it.
Legit thought the first one was some Sonic the Hedgehog game I've never heard of until you shown the gameplay, lol.
On the Ball kinda reminds me of Sonic 4 Episode 1's special stages though tbh.
Haha for sure sounds similar!
International Supestar Soccer Deluxe is one of the most cherished soccer games up to this day, at least in Brazil. It's not uncommon to see people making references to it, even in mainstream media.
Nice! Might as well list some suggestions of my own:
Spindizzy Worlds
Troddlers
The Jetsons: Invasion of the Planet Pirates
Wordtris
Super Conflict
Pieces
Push-Over
Firestriker
Big Sky Trooper
SOS
Operation Logic Bomb
The Ignition Factor
Rocky Rodent
A.S.P. Air Strike Patrol
Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel
Metal Marines
Spanky's Quest
Phantom 2040
Mr. Nutz
Thanks for the suggestions!
great video...I had never heard of or seen Battle Cars before and being a huge F-Zero fan, can't wait to try it! Man I love the SNES game library, definitely my favorite console ever.
Battle Cars is like if Rock n Roll Racing was a Mode 7 game instead of an isometric one.
You must be the ultimate games salesman with those smooth words!
4:05 "The best shooting experience you had was going to be on Sega machine", said the person, who never owned PC Engine.
I've been playing iss deluxe with my son recently...still fun!...you can get away with some flagrant slide tackles from behind though
Never thought I would find SNES games I've never heard before, in the year 2022. Great job!
Glad you found something new!
Wow! I never knew about Operation Logic Bomb. This game is fantastic, I really enjoyed playing it
Weaponlord is amazing!I playing this game every day!
Thunder Spirits wasn't a port of the Mega Drive / Genesis game Thunder Force III though. It's actually a port of the already inferior arcade port of TF3. Most of the downsides (like no level select and a boring space level for example) were already introduced in this port, where this game is based on.
Imagine the thumb ache after playing Thunder Spirits. Sounds painful
It’s rough bro, not going to lie 😅
It's channels and lists like these that helped me find something like Sky Blazer. Not perfect, but a real hidden gem.
Glad you found something new Ed!
@@thatvideogamesshow you've got a real knack for describing these games. The part about the fighting granny was hilarious.
International Superstar Soccer Deluxe isn't forgotten. Even has *A LOT* of ROM hacks (Like "Fútbol Argentino 96", "Fútbol Peruano 96", "Futebol Brasileiro 96", and more).
I love Lufia so much, and my GOD some of the music from the first game is epic
A nice list of SNES games I have never heard of before until now, all of them do look very cool and I would definitely want to give each of them a try, the SNES is one of the few consoles left I still want to find games for, so thank you TVGS for a good list of SNES games I want to try 🎮
Cool vids bro watched a good few now. Easy viewing.
Using Smart Ball/Jerry Boy music for On the Ball, clever
Nice list!! I have never played none of these, only Lufia. I will try them! There is one game, called Soul Blazer, that game was a gem!
Operation logic bomb is a good fun game, the big issue with it is its extremely short, like 2 hours long, other than that it's awesome
Great video thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awsome video dude, need weaponlord & sky blazer big time
International Superstar Soccer was light years ahead of the FIFA series in gameplay and fun
I'm almost tempted to look at the value of these games currently just to lol. I remember picking all of these up for $5-10 when the PS1 was in it's heyday.
Probably pricey as hell these days 😅
I had Logic Bomb back in the day. Fun game, fairly challenging for little teen me who mostly just played jrpgs.
Also rented Weaponlord often, but it's biggest flaw is it had much too few characters.
Why did you have Lunar music play while showing Lufia, though? :P
On the ball made me feel so sick because the entire level rotates around. Don't play if you have motion sickness. Still a cool idea of a game though
Weaponlord & Power Instinct are the Only games i'm familiar with
On the ball: Sonic the hedgehog bonus level done right.
I feel a game that has been forgotten in the sands of time is Plok. It's nothing great but remember having it as a kid and enjoyed it. Noone talks about it though.
I gave it to a friend about 29 years ago to burrow. I'm sure I will get it back any day now
Yeah, I know that game before but never bothered to try. I only pay attention to it recently cause a youtuber by name of whoisthisgit, occasionally mention that game in some of his videos usually Boss Analysis series.
Has it been a couple months yet? Looking forward to the part 2.
At 7:40 i wanted to start throwing living toys at my enemies
As the title said, I’d completely forgotten about ISS. Great game! There were some great football games around in those times.
Such a great game!
I had ISS Deluxe on the SNES - played it loads with my brother
Playing weapon lord is a pain in the eyes. I can agree with the rest in the list but as a Tekken, dead or alive, street fighter, soul calibur, and SNK fan, the frame rates in weapon lord is too choppy.
Haven’t met a lot of people who played Joe & Mac although I think it was originally a NES game. Great vid!
Thanks NED! I’ll have to check that one out!
Sonic blastman, my first game on my SFC
Sky blazer looks badass.
In Brazil super star soccer is one of most loved snes games
Had me confused during the lufia review. I saw lufia but was hearing music from lunar😅.
Haha couldn't find a good background song so had to settle on a classic!
Dunno if it made any of your past list but another good example would be Brain Lord
Ahh great suggestion! I’ll have to include it for part 2 🙂
Damn, i also forgot about, and how much i loved, Weaponlord
On the Ball looks like they made a full game based on the special stages in the first Sonic the Hedgehog. Very interesting.
Its a blast to play through!
As opposed to those special stages! 🤣
Thanks anytime Man you show the best video games awesome 😎
I had R-Type on the Master system hardest game ever absolutely ridiculously hard
Nice list. I only have lufia on here but a couple look interesting.
Glad you found something new!
Skyblazer is one of best games for snes
ISS deluxe was my kids brother dream come true. He was a huge soccer fan and literally didn't play videogames. But i had to kick him off my SNES on a daily basis haha. The fake player names were so silly i remember.
So many fond memories of that game with me and my brother as well!
Interesting video also here you should know about
1# Monster House(ps2 or gc): this one is a surprise its actually Good Kid movie licensed game
2# Fighting Force ( PlayStation 1 version but Nintendo 64 version have some different)
3# Tenchu 1 or 2( ps1)
4# Soul of Samurai( ps1)
5# The Sims 2 games( console version like PS2 or GameCube) ( normal, castaway, pet but best ones is normal and castaway)
6# The Sims bustin' out ( ps2 or gc)
7#: The Urbz ( interesting version of Sims but console only)
Logical for the GBC is an interesting puzzle game.
tvgs is my online video game dad
Haha glad you enjoy the channel!
Thanks I've been enjoying skyblazer all afternoon
Such a good game!
ISS Deluxe will never be a forgotten game in Brazil, Trust me.
Allejo Eterno!
Such an intriguing list of games that I’m really wanting to check out! On the Ball looks like simple good fun, and Sonic Blast Man II looks like a good time. Skyblazer is one I’ve wanted to play for some time, and really might try to get around to sooner rather than later. Operation Logic Bomb I tried out on the EverCade and Switch SNES app, and it is a fun game. Weaponlord is one I remember renting back in the day as well. Excellent video man!
Glad you found something new man 🙂
Anyone know the song playing in the intro? Sounds so familiar but I can't place it.
I Played both Sonic Blast Man games and the sequel had nothing to do with the original they completely fixed next to all the issues the original had and practically made it a way different game out of it...
Ignore the original SBM, it pretty much sucks, but SBM2 ( Sonic Blast Man 2 ) is a completely different animal that I can easily recommend...
The real problem that remains now is that game is seriously hard to come by, so expect it to be expensive, you'll also need a good deal of patience if you want it on an actual SNES console...
It more had things in common with the likes of Final Fight 2, than with the original SBM...
thanks for all your videos!!oh and i prefer first intro music of your ancient videos ^^
Thanks Jeff! Which song was that, the Tekken one?
I identified you on one video of ps2 u made :)
did you know that people still play ISS Deluxe online thanks to facebook groups and it still has community modding support, has brand new 2022 roster patches.
I didn’t! That’s amazing!
ISS Deluxe was a huge deal here in South America in the 90s and in the early 2000s. I didn't even liked football but I absolutely loved the game.
You want arcade gameplay with no slowdowns and large characters?, play Rendering Ranger and Gundam E.D., and also Super Smash TV. See ya.
As usual TVGS delivers! Always know what you’re gonna get here unlike most channels that present the same games all the others deem “obscure” or “forgotten” TVGS does the work and brings light to real gems. Than puts the time in to drop a well polished, informative and honest episode. Keep up the good work! It’s a real treat every time you pop up in the feed!
Just woke up to this comment and it has made my day man! Thank you! 🙂
Great games, the most part of them I'm gonna check them out, only 2 games I've played in the 90's: International Superstar Soccer Deluxe and Power Instinct, these games are worthwhile to play until today, the games I suggest are:
Spark World (it looks like Bomberman, but with beetle cars instead of robots)
Choplifter 3: you have to rescue your comrades that are hostages in the enemy's army
Hyper V-Ball: excellent volleyball game of the 90's that allows you to play with men, women and robots, fantastic.
An American Tail Fievel Goes West: A good platform game based on the 90's cartoon (or animated series I'm not sure how to say) that passed on Brazil (Yes I'm from Brazil).
Mickey Mania: in this game Mickey passes through stages that are based on cartoons since 30's to 90's, amazing soundtrack and this game is very challenging.
There are many other games I could say, but I don't remember at this moment and about your video all I have to say is: thank you, we have to speak more about these games most of the people don't know, great work.
Operation Logic Bomb is really the only one that is lesser known of this bunch. I agree that it's actually a very fun playthrough. Skyblazers is pretty much more well known as that shitty Hook game, as Sony reskinned the same damn thing. Good video, I understand your lists are mostly for a younger demographic that hasn't played a lot of older games.
ISSSD is definitely not a forgotten game, it was pretty mainstream when it came out, and made by the powerhouse Konami. Easily the best sports title on the SNES!
I’ve still got a mint copy of Kevin Keegan’s Player Manager. That is a forgotten SNES game.
Even I haven’t heard of that haha, will have to include it for part 2!
@@thatvideogamesshow it’s really terrible. 🤣
5:41 axel stone...is that you???
Damn! That colorful game 😍
Lufia is a classic.
I love snes games These grafix are awesome!!
ISS Deluxe....the good old days.....look at ISS/PES now :(
It’s such a shame the way Konami ended up 🙁
holy shit that weaponlord game is good
just wanted to say your narrating voice is very smooth and relaxing, your videos are very chill and its easy to just vibe while listening
Glad you like them!
I’ve never heard of battle cars but it looks really awesome J need to okay that one
Glad you found something new!
Whats the music in the beginning?
Man WeaponLord looks super Badass. 😀
Such a good fighter!
Thank you for ideas for my channel🎉🎉🎉🎉
No problem 😊
