This comment is not for you big man but for the casual viewer that just clicked on your site. I've watched tonnes of videos about how one should do this and that. You never tell anybody how 'They should fish !! . But this is how you approached it, on that day. And the true joy of you striking into a fish, no matter how big or small. Puts a massive smile on my face whilst I'm watching.
very true words ken, get loads of questions on blogging and i simply give same answer, stick to two rules....blog the fish dont go fish for the blog and help and show people your way but at same time understand yours is not THE way tight lines ken
Previously commented on this video, brought back great memories, so I've taken the plunge and joined Lyme this time so will get back on there this year. Keep up the good work, doing a great job.
Well what a great video of a water I once knew so well, I recognised the gate way at the beginning of the video, Montford was once a Crewe Pioneers Anglers water when I fished it in the 1980's and 90's, I always preferred to fish down stream around where your uncle was fishing, I used to target Barbel My best from that stretch being just over 9lbs but the Dace and Chub were always around, and Yes' to your comment about Pike, plenty in there, The access to that water is ideal only problem was the cows sometime licked the car and you'd see all the mess when you got back later. I will subscribe, and tight lines.
yeah peter we have heard since that leaving car there was not best idea, did the stretch fish well into winter peter?? great to hear from someone who has fished the area before. tight lines mate
Dannys Angling Blog Winter fishing was always the best, especially with the chub, if you could get through the dace that is, and as for the pike' I know this might be frowned upon by some, but I used to use live bait dace, free swimming with a treble through the back, quite successful method in the days I fished there. But as for the barbel' they were either there or not, just a matter of getting the Wright day.
cheers mate, i believe so not huge amount of barbel but if get one be a nice one, certainly a good mix of all species as well. hope your barbel session went ok, i managed get home tih my acolyte in 3 pieces, barbel on the float OMG
@@DannysAnglingBlog haven't been yet danny, it's only friday😁 I can imagine the barbel ran you ragged on the float, they are hard enough on heavy feeder gear👍🎣😁
@@MarkCarp so it is im on day 3 fishing tomorrows of break hopefully get some silvers on stickie, erm just a little risked fishing my acolyte with 8lb line and mate said should be ok aslots of small barbel about 4 to 5lb,lets just say first one wasnt 4 or 5lb lmao just put pic on insta lol, best of luck matey with your fishing, hopefully going atcham so might not be too far apart
@@DannysAnglingBlog yeah seen that one, that's a good fish for the river mate, specially on the float👍 fingers crossed i'll get a few myself tomorrow although i'll be heading for a pa stretch more known for numbers than size, i'm happy just to get a few bites👍🎣

Great vid Dan, The only time I've managed to visit that stretch was December 2018 and it was carrying an extra 9ft of water! So looking at your video I can see exactly where I was going wrong and what my bait was sat in! LMAO!
Hi mate great vids I’ve tried stick floating for the first time today as I really like the look of it I’ve got a 13 ft drennan float rod I fished wroxeter on the Severn but it was that deep at the distances I could cast to that it was impossible to fish the bottom because the float would have to be so far up the line it would have to be where the eyes on rod are if that makes sense so it made it impossible to cast if I was to be fishing on the bottom so I’m guessing I need a longer rod ? Any advice welcome cheers

Are you planning on a Piking trip to Montford Danny? I'm really interested in what methods you'd use there.
How do you plumb up on a river? Something that confuses me a little bit because of the moving water
Have you got any tips for casting a stick float further across the river? Or is there a limit because they're so light?
Great stuff Danny
Hi . It is angling club water ?
Great video. Who owns the fishing rights at Montford bridge?
i think it is warrington anglers and day ticket at pub or caravan site on opposite side mate
Cheers, I followed you to the upper Weaver! Not many Roach but some nice Chub. ruclips.net/video/A9CXrO51Bzc/видео.html Nantwich Anglers
