Hi buddy new to your channel. I'm quite new to barbel fishing. I might be wrong but wasn't that alot of bait for winter barbel in feeder again might be wrong I've caught good few in winter just single high attracted hookbait. Great video pal
Maybe it was. I just don’t think I was on the barbel. Those tactics have worked for me on that stretch in winter before. It was relatively couple of days of warm weather leading up to this session so was expecting them to be wanting a feed.
Yes you would do if you was fishing a river which didn’t have a lot of snags in. Less chance of getting cut of when using coated braid so more chance of getting the fish in notoriously snaggy this stretch of river.

Do you not use lighter hooklink than mainline so if snagged up there’s a chance of getting kit back?
