Hi Lee, I’ve stumbled across your channel mate as I’m coming back to the rivers and in particularly the Trent after a 15 year lay off from the rivers chasing Carp of which my last 12 years was spent on the lake of dreams that I affectionately call Grenville Lake. And I’ve now decided to target the Trent for not only the Barbel but also the Carp, Pike and Zander !!! Anyway I love your channel already and love your attitude of which I completely relate too. Just bought your log book as well as this really is my next chapter in my angling. All the very best Paul
Brilliant video Sir. The mighty Trent is the place to be. Now we've got a bit of flow on I'm hoping to get out. Welcome to tag along on our water as a guest. This year will be a PB for me. The secret is the hooklenghts.
Very enjoyable watch for this Saturday evening and some wonderful fish caught as well. Just shows how angling has changed on the Trent since the Chub explosion in the 1970's followed by the Bream and Carp and now Barbel. My time on the latter was limited to the Yorkshire rivers but the sizes of these in the Trent seem larger than those in the Severn and will give the Hampshire Avon ones a run for their money.
Really enjoyed this video the longer version is packed with info and those fish were just special lovely dark common and that big barbell was a proper lump Thanks for putting these out for us looking forward to the next installment tight lines mate
What a lovely river common pristine condition been on the wharf today had 2 doubles barbel looks like we are having the same kind of season so far brilliant fishing carnt wait to get on the Trent at the weekend keep it up buddy
Great video, I've just found the channel after deciding to give fresh water fishing a go. Being based in Derby, makes so much more sense than sea fishing. Learning lots so far. Tight lines
Lovely chub to start with Lee then the cracking barbel. But the river common was unreal . Top fishing as always 👌. My season on my local river Colne is going well now after a slow start. Great video
Cracking angling LB 👍with content and general info, into what and why and how your doing things regarding the river and its behaviour during your visit. Was further down from you the other week when you was there, when it was fishing hard, with the water levels being low, just a few bream and a nice chub all in a 90min spell around 1:30am. Unfortunately no barbel. Keep up the good work on the bank Lee 👍
I was intrigued with your heli rig with a five feet hooklink. Seems like a strange choice for big rivers. It does the trick and works well by the looks of it.
Bruv im massive follower of your work. Your doing a great job. Well done on the common and barbel. As for the books are you going to create a pike book??
