This is not a "leak" it's an ad that they realized publicly. There is no "gray area" here. Also, it's normal to show kit of the both character of the patch hoyo do it every dev livestream.
But they haven't posted anything on their official website or social media platforms 🤔

I think this is fine, nothing wrong with this. HSR and genshin already showing both of their upcoming character animation 1 week before the patch in a patch live stream. If kuro have a patch 1.1 live stream before this, then no one gonna bat an eye seeing those ads in japan. so yeah, I think this is normal.

because they both release in the upcoming patch so it makes sense to show both
if Kuro did a 1.1 livestream - just like Genshin or HSR - they would also show off both characters with what they do and all their animations
it just makes sense to show the playerbase the upcoming content even if 1 is in the first half and 1 is in the second half - you cant just keep one secret just because it releases later xP

its really good for the players to see both before they release
because that way ppl can see the second upcoming character early as well - here: Changli - so they can plan who they wanna pull for
for example if someone thinks he wants both characters and dont know who they should pull for
and then they only sees Jinshi animations and like it so they decide to uses all their pulls for her
and after that they see Changlis kit and like her animations even more than Jinshis … well now they are doomed cause they already used all their pulls already
if they knew beforehand they would have saved for Changli

I don't think they'll be against leaks. I mean the way PGR operates people already know on the global side what the following year has in store and as for CN there is some sort of beta that allows CCs to showcase the characters early and test them out.

9:29 That's a deal breaker for me. I like a diverse character roster because it aids in world-building. It makes the world more believable. Same reason why I can't get into HI3. There's a huge market for waifu simulators though so it'll surely sell, maybe even more than Genshin. But they're not for me, I honestly find them a cheap tactic just to sell.

its an ad Kuro most likely commission it themselves, so there is no reason to even consider this a leak. now if the advertiser accidently release it early, that is their deal with Kuro, youtuber that simply report the advertisement shouldnt be held accountable

This isnt a leak and is no big deal. Some leaks do better marketing that the actually company. There is no grey area here. I dont mind this. People should be hyped not freaking out (in a bad way)

Hoyo is slacking hard indeed like them slacking in genshin isn't anything new but wth are they doing in star rail. Firefly patch was supposed to be a big update but all we got is an another version of moc and su and a mid story. Next patch is also already looking underwhelming cause of the new characters being clara 2.0 and npc looking support for acheron
2.3 story wasn't a bad patch though? It was a pretty fitting conclusion.
DU is also a massive QoL upgrade to SU planar farming and it has 3000+ jades.
The new endgame mode is also fine, ig. Just more jades, and the boss rush idea is cool.

i understand what you are saying. but a lot of people have already leaked their kit. so it is not a big deal overall right now imo. just like what always happens to genshin.
As it is still 1.1 content, I don't think there is a problem in showing her animations even though it is not the first banner. The Marketing for 1.1 has always included both, so I don't think it's a problem.
