What I did was to make sure he was calm and then said my dog’s name and waited for him to look at me before giving him a treat. Eventually, they will come running to you when you call them 😁
I honestly just kept calling my puppy by his name. Like for a baby, you keep saying his/her name until they get used to it.

We're animal lovers, but due to my husband's sevete allergies, we never thought we could have a dog. We FINALLY found a dog he had zero reaction to. Its like a miracle! At 50 yrs old, he's finally getting his first puppy tomorrow. Ive been binge watching your videos so much, they show up all over my feed. Hey Rachel! Love your content! I saw on your fb that you mentioned you almost didn't post clips from this video because you "made a lot of mistakes" but I'm so glad you did! So many of these dog training videos edit out the mistakes and only post successful training session, which creates this unattainable illusion for the rest of us and is often frustrating. Your videos have helped me feel more confident training my new 8 week doodle. Did not start leash inside as I live in a condo (needed Constant outside potty breaks). My pup though was clearly never on a lead and just stops mid sidewalk/ hallway/ elevator.

Hey Rachel! Where would you recommend crating a puppy at night since my cat has to sleep in my bed. Just trying to prepare for when we bring the puppy home
Try putting it somewhere outside of your room. That way you can hear the pup if you need to but the cat and dog won’t be distracted by each other

I'm getting a puppy in a few weeks and I'm curious if their is puppy specific raw food. I already feed my senior dog raw, but I want to be sure I'm doing what's best for puppy. I also read too much protein in Large breed dogs as puppies can cause them to grow too quickly and be an issue for their joints. Any information you could give to help clarify these points would be helpful. 💗
This is the first time I’ve herd Wally bark lol and he sounds like my dog barking lol and also is Wally getting lighter by time or is it just the lighting and also my dog was terrible on leash after using all your videos on that he’s much better we’re still working but such an improvement and there was another dog that started barking and benji (my dog) didn’t even bark was so proud

Hi I'm teaching my puppy the "touch" command but most of the time he's trying to bite my hand which is not ideal. He is still touching his nose against my hand though... So should i still keep teaching "touch" and hope he'll eventually stop opening his mouth at the same time?? Any advice greatly helps!

What do you say or do instead of saying "uh uh" or "aht aht" when they go to do something? It's effective with my puppy currently, but the word "no" has been worn out lol
You can use “uh uh” but often a simple redirection works better than any verbal command
do you have a video for puppies that don't want to walk? i have 5 mth old english bulldog that goes out to do potty, but once that is done she only wants to head back in. she will either sit and not move forward or starts pulling back towards home.

Hi. I got my puppy this week! U have helped me so so much I am very grateful and I am a huge fan!! Do u have any tips on stopping him biting? He is teething, and he isnt very toy motivated. So its hard to get him to stop biting us and go over to his toy instead. He loves his food tho! Any tips!?

@@jackal4782 yes she has made a video on that but it uses toys to redirect biting, which they say isn’t working. I am not a expert with dogs, but since you said that your dog like food I would say to freeze a carrot and have them teeth on it. You should also try playing with your dog and the toys. I hope this may help you

@@hayathaddad5036 we froze a glove cuz that’s what some people told us to do, cuz it was cool on their gums and hard for them to chew. That lasted all of 30 seconds!! 😂😂😂😅 thank you tho! 🥰🥰
