I walked a tall ship just last month, a training schooner that's been in service for over 100 years in the Canadian navy. The feel of her was simply awesome. HERMITAGE evokes much the same, only slightly smaller, but while the navy ship had old wood, HERMITAGE gleams like a jewel. She truly is a gem.
Where do you start on a yacht like this, but its truly breath-taking, I can't say I've seen such at floating work of art. Such lovely woodwork, much more than a day boat in my mind, good input from Bill titus. beautiful photography. Good job David and team
This looks fantastic for its age, I love the interior wood work it just looks stunning, Some lucky person is going to be very happy when they buy this.
Congrats for this presentation .... well, who has this tiny pocket money of 3.9 should fall in love no doubt. ;-) May she deserve the right owner who appreciate her former life, her history and outstanding qualities.
She is stunning but not even owning this yacht it would give me nightmares to just think of the annual costs to the rigging and finish of the yacht. You must truly love this type of yacht to want to own one. But once you have her I am sure the pleasure would be immense.
The fuel bill would be a PITTANCE compared to a motor yacht. Most expenses will be crew wages, insurance maybe. The price is really affordable at less than $4 mill. Remember these are not your father's or grandfather's dollars, but worthless, 2024, devalued Biden Dollars.
Beautiful video, well shot. My question is, how does this yacht handle rough seas? Would you cross N. Atlantic or cape Horn in her? She is gorgeous but is she just a showboat of would you dare to go to roaring forties? Many thanks...
The price, given the recent $2.5 mill redo, is quite low. What are the annual op expenses (range)? The interior is top-notch. I hope there are no nasty surprises left.
If I win the lottery I could buy this and sail it around dressed like Thurston Howell III. Given what it looks like, I'd pretty much have to dress like him or I'd be completely out of place.
