This has to be one of the most perfect sailboats. It is as large as a boat needs to be to be sailed by its owners, without the uncomfortable and costly presence of a crew on board. Whomever bought it, for I am certan it has been sold by now, is a lucky person with really great taste.
I sailed on an Oyster 62 that I thought was magnificent, and it was supposedly worth $3 million. This yacht blows that one away (and every other yacht I’ve ever seen!). Such beautiful lines, clean deck, and inviting interior.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. These older boats are much more refined and exclusive in their craftsmanship than those new ones, which cost double as much.
What an utterly glorious vessel - everything here is classy and purpose built. As some have said, it could clearly be more, it has so much to offer. No silly excessive fossil tiles or excessive art, just a timelessly stunning classic.
One of the most exquisite yachts you've shown us. I concur also, it would be a cruise worthy of a book!

Simply beautiful! Most people retire to smaller, comfortable homes, a few chose to live on luxury cruise ships. This option is cheaper than both. Imagine selling up and retiring to live on Carmella. Most owners of this class of yacht would dismiss the idea, but what an option for those who could afford a live aboard sea change!
Friend, there's nothing particularly "art deco" here except maybe the stove; it's a rather traditional British interior with a little too much dark wood which I imagine renders it pretty dungeon like below except right around noontime. The narrator here opted to call the several heads "bathrooms"--not sure why. She does appear to be Ketch BTW, although showing us a peak at her plans might have been a nice idea. Usually draft and beam are included in the same sentence as her length. 2 salaried professionals aboard this SV would be minimal--assumption would be the owners and guests would have to pitch in to help sail her and serve food unless you want to Captain to sail 24 hours straight. Nice pedigree here and she seems to slip through the water very nicely. BTW the term "yacht" by everyone in this discussion is tiresome; I'm calling call her a sailboat. Watermaker aboard?

And really there is no compromise here. Not only is the quality superb and the luxury and beauty of the wood exceptional, look at the size of the owner's cabin, full beam in width! Much larger and ten times as expensive boats would not have a bigger space or better luxury than that.

How appropriate as I watch this vid, I am listening to Lionel Ritchie's "Sail On" and my goodness is there a more beautiful boat than Carmella!? I love many of the modern boats but the hull of Carmella is what I most appreciate. The interior color of the wood makes it more appealing to me. Much more comforting..inviting..welcoming. I know I will wake from this dream without her (Carmella) and I will be unhappy. Cheers and envy to the owner(s).
They are giving this boat away at that price... Very safe ride .. beautiful in and out ... Someone is gonna be very lucky to have this one. Perfect size perfect price.. I should be able to afford this in about a hundred years.. can the guy wait
I really enjoyed the classic style and interior design. This might not be to taste of the modern designers but it clearly shows that those modern designers just wander in the shadows of giants. There is so much timelessness elegance and comfort to the "gentlemen's club" design that is simply, not only missing but unachievable by many modern designs. Because frankly, the modern designs often make the yacht look just like a modern hotel and not like a very personal home away from home.

I have no problem with modern designs as long as they are beautiful and have a personal feel to them but many of the yachts currently made look like a build intended for charter only. If so that might be ok but you would not get be interested in staying or even buying one of those.

Extremely beautiful boat. I can't begin to imagine the work that goes into keeping the brightwork looking that good.
I worry about the exposed woods on deck, they must need frequent repairs from the ravages of salt and the sun.
