- Here’s the full length video of Voyager’s rough weather sea trials during storm Kathleen. She performed fabulously, the most challenging part being getting her off the marina in winds of storm force 10. Conditions were pretty wild at times with big breaking waves at the entrance to Cork Harbour.
Safehaven Marine primarily build strong, seaworthy commercial vessels, but when we do build luxury private yachts we employ the same design ethos, and undertake the same rigorous testing to ensure they have equal capabilities to our all-weather S.A.R. and pilot vessels, and provide the same level of safety to their crew in heavy weather. Your balance is pretty decent my friend. I am a harbourmaster and walking docks during heavy swells is harder than it looks. Great video.
True story, I’m ex navy and even as an older man he had great balance.
Finally a follow up to the world famous Thunderchild storm video. You guys have really Nailed how catamaran hull should act. Amazing stuff.
Would have liked to see how she handles following seas.
A nice sturdy seaworthy boat , lovely shots from the drone and inside , good skills nice to see .
Love the inside shots. Something about it feels peaceful. It's quiet and the boat manages so well it looks safe and cozy compared to the raging water.
What beautiful lines that boat has. I would feel honoured to own something like this. Well done.
Fantastic footage as always!
Facing those huge breakers in a non self righting vessel is serious commitment and not for the faint hearted!
Looking forward to a complete tour of this fantastic new vessel.
Nice yacht and interesting design, it seems to handle those conditions really well. I was equally impressed by the drone shots in those winds
Always excellent work Frank! Her stability looks remarkable!
WTH did I see now?! A gliding 15m motor cat?!? Everything is insane about you guys! Wish you all the best on your maritime engineering journey!
Way to go Frank 🎉. Awesome boat 😊
Love your designs however as a designer myself I don't have faith in a design until I run the vessel down swell and see how she handles as we all know that's the true test. All boat designers show videos bucking swell for It's the impressive tack but not the dangerous tack.. Thanks again for sharing your incredible designs and videos.
🤙again a build beyond limits...!!..perfect !
I am British and so proud although unconnected. Stunning engineering and courage
Impressive, very impressive indeed.
Lovely! Has always been fascinated by the sea waves.
Just amazing designs!
It must be like riding a wild horse. Your whole body moving with the ocean. It looks pretty exhausting. Great footage. 👍
If I ever came in to serious money, I would buy a Safehaven Marine boat over anything else on the market.
I’d be going a tad larger, a Bering 77.
I have one for sale. 2006. 42 'Interceptor. Fresh D13 at 900 hp. In NS, Canada. Tri-Nav Marines sales.
Alexi is the man for expedition yachts but this looks like a lot of fun. @@Vinnie101a
The best time to own a boat is when you buy and sell it😂
Makes 2 of us - this is serious maritime equipment
She's a beauty, Frank. Waiting for the features video
Well designed Boat and great camera work!!!
Not bad Frank, but my favorite remains Thunderchild 2
Always good thanks 👍
Greetings present, seniors, healthy greetings, always ask for permission to watch the video. Indeed, since the beginning of the prototype testing, the Voyoger's resilience has been proven with difficult maneuvers like a surfer and now in reality the ship has proven to be able to overcome and successfully survive the roar of the extreme sea waves. I am amazed at the genius of the sea. senior's work, when do I want to have one like this, especially in Indonesia, where there are many islands and the extreme weather is very suitable for this model of ship?
she plows thru the water rather well.. very stable
Wow now you are getting into multi’s. Very nice!!
Storm Kathleen. Authorities “stay inside & don’t venture out”. Frank. “Let’s go & test a boat” 😆
😂👍
Big waves, big …balls!!
Beautiful boat!
You make the most awesome boats.
Do you need a test pilot. That looks like so much fun.
Good work ❣️ Amazing very nice
Voyager appears to be very capable indeed, but if I were to pilot that vessel, then I'm afraid my stomach would be the weak point. Anyway, nice one Mr. Kowalski! 👍
A good boat and good looking boat well done.
Espectacular
BEAUTIFUL.....
Brave captain and excellent craft.
Wish you Joss from an African country.
A Safehaven boat likes this sort o weather. It is like dancing with a wild bronco, however she manages effortlessly.
Great footage, it’s the middle of June and not much has changed with the weather 😢
So two thunderchilds welded together ???
Nice 👍
Looks fun.
But for a real test, go beam on a stop the motors
There is a lot going on there, but it all starts with the positive pressure between those 2 hulls.
All I wonder is how far I could get hitting one wave and trying to hit the next one on a jet ski! I think I’d have to go as fast as possible. The waves look fun.
Cats are so smooth when they come down.
Whoever's flying that drone knows what they're doing.
Increíble como corta las olas.
Thats one cool Cat 🤩 Missing a mast and a sail but, i love itttt ❤️❤️❤️⚓
Best of the best 👍👍👍
You got a pair on you Frank
This makes the guys at Haulover look like punks 😂😂😂
That is simply bad@ss!! I love it.
Love it 😮
Perfect retirement job 👍
If I hit power ball I will certainly give you call. Take care
SWEET !
Weather looks just fine to me🎉
I am pretty sure this beast can handle a way more 😂
Passo mal só de ver parabéns vc e extremamente corajoso
Love the new vessel Frank, I am a bit disappointed that you didn't go with Thubder Child 3 as a name though lol
It appears very purposeful, but does anyone know its approximate range?
I would order one immediately but I already have too many yachts that I don’t even have time to use.
Looks good inshore but I would love to see the way it perform offshore in open water.
Love watching the real world engineering evolution of these designs.
After one minute of viewing its back to the drawing board with that design im afraid too say.
Would like to see a simulated loss of power. How does it handle beam seas?
Man is this a gorgeous boat. Personally, I'd like to see the range and tankage of T-2000 (Voyager) with the monohull/self-righting capability of XSV20 (Thunder Child II). Even if as I suspect that means a slightly slower boat. Anyone know the source of the music at the end?
Ooyy - Black Spur
Nice, but how does this hull take waves coming in from the side? And how sturdy are the steps and rails in the stern? This is not a sea trial. It is a promotional video. But it certainly is a beautiful boat.
El mejor…👏👏👏🤘😘
That’s not the sort of weather you want to be going out in in a boat like that, although I must admit she handles it well, a very solid boat, would not fancy surfing down huge waves 🌊 in it though. And that berth is horrendously exposed to the weather. Is the hull aluminium?
I think that jetty is moving a little
Very nice. Would be worried though as a cat doesn't right itself anymore after flipping. And hitting these waves side on would have gotten to the brink of that.
What is the aprox price of this beast?
i would guess 1.5-2.5 Million Dollars. Gotta keep in mind everything is custom and 1 off. And safehaven build the boats to proper Proffesional spec watetight doors watertight bulkheads and all. No glorified white plastic Princess or sunseeker this.
Despite not knowing, I think it's gotta be a more, no? The engines alone are suppoedly close to 1/4 Million and I think that's without the drives. The electronics gotta be a whole lot, too. And it's likely close to a year to build and test a vessel like this. The builders have to get paid decently, plus shop costs, etc, etc, etc.
That would pay the deposit. A quad outboard 40-foot Midnight Express open is over a million now. @@Infernal_Elf
damn id be scared as fuck to even thinking about bringing out the boat. we dont even gp out in our crompton rib if its like 1.5m waves....
marvelous yacht !
It's all head on seas stuff, let's look at the boat in confused current across wind, standing waves situation....
❤❤
We gonna see some records shattered? Even Thunderchild records?
Why a twin hull not mono? Stability?
Giggity!
I wanna see it run the congo river.
Incredible vessel, benefits of a cat are obvious. But if it were the wrong way round, I would assume that it is not going to self right itself like thunderchild 2 or any other of your monohulls?
Time to splice the main brace I think
Lucky you.
Awesome boat! I still prefer Rafnar, true storm beater.
That is scary..
Mükemmel
Is that not from momsters inc ?
Certainly make the ol Christal or Billy rattle a bit what!😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
For serious rough weather you can't beat a monohull thats designed for it, for the simple fact if they get rolled they come back up quickly and easily. A cat turns turtle it's staying like that
Yeah usually very true but Safehaven seems to have achieved quite the compromise here.
@@Infernal_Elf What do you mean, if it gets rolled it comes back up on its own?
Certain monohulls are capable of this@@Antipodean33
Hello Frank. Is this boat self-righting?
I might not know anything but, since it's a cat, not likely. FK has made some spectacular life choices.
Very narrow and tall, so I guess she will
Is this a test or Irresponsibility?
Avanguardia pura
Ok, why just front on? Why not following or moving or with power - time ill never get back!
those waves are far apart..if they are close r spaced ,,that vessel will go side on real fast..and over she goes !
Interesting they have gone with a cat not a mono.
It's good to see countries doing this without the insecurity of flying ridiculously large flags.
Geiler Kahn!
One of the wipers is not working. Other than that seems to function perfect.
Hab ich auch schon mal....
Very good testing ground 😂😂
Run it down-swell at speed 😅
