The Jordanaires joined Ricky in 1958 and sang back up on all of his records starting with "Believe What You Say" through 1965.. Because at the time they were under contract with Elvis and though Elvis gave his blessing for them to sing on other artists records he would not allow them to be seen performing or be credited on any other records. The James Burton Trio lyp sinced the Jordanaires when Ricky sang his newest record at the end of The Ozzie and Harriett Show. After their contract with Elvis terminated they started receiving the recognition they rightfully earned.
Being out late in 1959 may have meant trouble for some teens. Some years back when I worked nights driving shuttle truck I'd often see teens out past 2-3AM as they don't seem to enforce curfew here.
This is the rare true stereo version of the song, so James Burton's guitar is mixed over to the right hand channel. imperial did record it in stereo in 1959, but Liberty Records misplaced the stereo tapes when they purchased Imperial Records, so they had to re-channel the mono master on "Ricky's Million Sellers " & "Ricky's Best Sellers". The true stereo master was found by Capitol/EMI Records in the 1980's and immediately issued, though the song is usually issued in mono on many CD reissues & streaming channels, just like AM radio fans first heard it on radio back in 1959.

That's a stretch. I really liked Ricky. He was a good-looking guy and a great singer but NOBODY had Elvis's range or rich tones.
