- Replacing the cornering bulb on a MK7 VW Golf R (and similar models GTI, Golf, etc.). This will likely correct the Error Adaptive Front Lighting (AFS) message that a bad bulb will cause to appear in the instrument cluster display.

God BLESS. My R has had the worst of luck lately. This is the newest issue I have encountered. Glad it's not anything expensive. Appreciate the video! Happy driving, friend!
DMX playing…ah a man of culture 😌 great video, thank you for the tutorial!
Legend !!! I was thinking oh no this is going to be expensive !! Haha new bulbs all sorted ✊🏼
help and most clear video describing the issue/fix. worked like a charm for me except I used OSRAM H7 bulbs.
Thanks for the vid. I always heard that left side is easy and the right side need to remove the whole light housing and the bumper.... Your vid proved it can be done without removing anything. ;)
Appreciate the video--please consider linking to replacement parts (along with affliate links--so you can get a spiff for your hardwork). Thx.
Very helpful thanks!
Hello...Nice video. The bulb just need to be pulled back? No left or right turn or clip to lose before? Thank you
Thanks my guy
About to do this on my Jetta GLI. Do you have the link for the bulbs!? Thank you!
Link to the bulbs I used: Philips H1 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Bright White Headlight Bulb, 2 Pack www.amazon.com/dp/B00U1OL1CQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xKuXEbR208VMP
I think they were the H7. Thanks for the video really helped!
What light isit? I need to replace it and I dont know what to search for .. any ideas?
holy moly hows clean under the hood
if you already repaced it and do the same what can be the problem?
That engine bay is uncomfortably clean
Hey, trying to replace the drivers side cornering bulb and I cannot, for the life of me, get it to pop back into that little housing. I'm using the H7 Phillips bulb. Did you have to twist it or anything to get it back in? Or was it just a question of force. Also, did you have to apply a lot of force to get it to pop in? I can tell something's up because the light that comes out is not even close to level with the rest of the headlights.
If I remember correctly, the little notch that sticks out on the H7 bulb has to face up (12 o’clock position). And it does go in at an angle. But you don’t need a ton of force to get it back in.
Driver side notch face up 12 o’clock, passenger side notch face down 6 o’clock
any way to get the cap off? its super tight on both and wont turn either way so cant get to the bulbs?
Turn the cap counterclockwise to remove it. There are a couple of tabs around the cap you can push on for more leverage.
@@chrismiller9776 counter clockwise for both sides facing the lights correct? If so then i have lol but i think mine are over tightened 🤣
