Just got this error, was sweating is was gonna be a huge issue. Let’s hope it’s just the bulbs. Thanks for making this video!
Most likely is dude. Good luck!
I get this error but both main lights are out if that makes sense I just got the car and was told the headlights don't work
Thanks! This video helped clear my error code.
Glad it helped!
Helpful to me
Why the warning light doesn't go away?
Hey so I am having a hell of a time getting the housing to lock back into place. Did you simply press the unit down hard until it locked? Or did you have to twist it at all? Again - the bulb itself went in fine, but the housing isn't locking into place.
thank you so much fix my problem thanks to you
Glad the video helped!
Awesome...On my E500 i get a "Active hdlmp display mulfuction" which is close to my problem. My indy states i need a new headlight. After viewing your vide I will check my right hdlight bulb and pry its bad, vice spend $$ for new hdlmp. Tks. Nice vide
I just had this error pop up this morning and I think it’s the cornering lights. I was wondering where you bought the bulbs?
What type of bulb do you need for the xenon lights? And the drl i get an error saying check daytime running lights and im suspecting that when i replaced them at a mechanic he put some knock off ones and the system doesnt recognize em
Thanks so much. I got my bulb replaced myself and it worked perfectly.
Glad that helped man. Worth the time it took to film then. Enjoy your MK7
Does the Xenon main beam turn left-to right also when you driving at night? I saw it moved side to side when you started the car
Yes its adaptive bi xenon with cornering lights.
Thank you man great video!!!
Thank you so much this video really helped me🎉
Glad the video helped man
Thank you bro
I have that same error on my gti, but the bulbs aren’t burnt for me. And sometimes randomly it works again. My issue is the headlights don’t move with the steering wheel like they should.
Did you manage to fix the issue?
Nice video! But how do I know which side burnt out?
Good question! I start the vehicle, make sure light switched to auto. cornering lights should only be active at low light. turn your steering wheel and if there is no cornering light active, that bulb is definitely burnt out. shut off the engine and try again for the opposite side. note: once the afs error pops up, the cornering light wont work (even if one side is still good) Basically a trial and error process.
Believe you can also put in reverse and both should come on.
Can't verify right now since I have this problem.
Both my corner lights seem to light up with the error on. My headlights are also on just no swivel.
Then you may have an additional problem that this video can't address. Best of luck dude
In my case swivel level indicator was broken. Needed to repllace this indicator near to susspension.
luck of the draw
love the capcom street fighter intro song.
also. my gti 7.5 randomly had this error too. But it went away
Hey man, good to hear from you. Probably a loose connection maybe? Yup I love to play street fighter haha
Hey dude! Thanks for making this video! This is exactly what my problem was. Saved me a trip to the dealer.
Glad it helped dude!
Did it effect your high beams?
No sir, only while cornering
that video was very helpful.❤
I'm so glad!
I had the same issue. Thanks for the help!
Glad it helped Steph
OMG, you’re a savior, thanks. Even using VCDS could not solve the problem with the diagnosis. Only shows that an error is present and cannot be clear. I never thought LED and standard bulbs can crate an error. I will do an all LED vs all Standard Halogen to see the changes and positive outcomes. I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work, thanks again !!!🙏💯
Thanks and glad it worked!
that video was very helpful.
Glad to hear, Pete!
