My 2012 VW Touareg TDI Sport has adaptive front lighting and I've found it to be outstanding in all driving conditions. In fact, they improve visibility so much that I feel all new motor vehicles should have a similar system as a minimum requirement to pass safety testing.
I have a 2016 Jetta GLI SEL with this. It sounds gimmicky but it is incredible. I used to be stressed when driving any other car during heavy rain or at high speeds on country roads. Now It's a non issue. This will be a must have on any future car for me.
My car has LED lighitng like this, the cornering and bend lighting is priceless. There are also no hot spots, very even ligh with a sharp cutoff to prevent blinding of pedestrians or oncoming traffic. It shuts off segments as I approach oncoming traffic.
My Lexus RX have this system and it works perfect in corners since 11years now !! i never will understand why Lexus let down this great system from the 2015 model on !!
how speed controls the light?....please provide a logic for this ...and also how vertical swivelling works?.....which sensor detects the uphill or down hill movement of the vehicle and also what is the out put from the sensor??
I know this video is 12 years old but the cornering lights are what get me. Why doesn't Mazda's system turn on the cornering lights at all times so we can see our peripherals at all times? I drive cars with fog lights and my peripherals are always visible whether I turn the wheel or not. Where I live, 6500k white fog lights are practically mandatory cause there isn't much lighting. Other than that, it's a great system for lazy people or people who don't want to fix their own cars.
I know if the headlights get damaged they're expensive to change but don't get a head of yourself my golf has it and sure it can be tricky to get to the bulbs (modern cars are a bit cramped) but you're still just changing a bulb :)
help , i have a bi-xenon headlights with auto leveling regulation without AFS and Led and broke 1 headlight so , now i buy the same headlights with AFS and led , i have the ballastfor the D3s lamp and the AFS module , do i have to change or anything more product for this works ?? thank's
This is a ridiculously unneeded technology that costs too much to fix when the sensor on the suspension breaks. Impressive engineering, but impractical for the average driver who doesn’t want to spend $500 to replace the suspension sensors
My 12 year old Lexus AFS works like the first day I bought it. Very practical if you work early in the morning(like me) in pitch black darkness and have to drive through a rural area on the way.

would I have to request a Loan , if a single bulb ends its life cycle ?
nope, you will need a small mortgage for this mate :)
The bulbs are either halogen H7 or xenon bulbs nothing expensive....
I have this system in my golf, works great!
abd bach Surely this system, it's not as simple as just changing a bulb

disagree
agree
That’s nothing compared to $1500 so be glad 500 is reasonable
