How to Disable Lexus AFS Warning Light: Remove Warning in UNDER 5 MINUTES!

- In this video, I show you how to remove the AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System) warning light that may be showing up on your Lexus. The AFS module controls the operation of the headlights when the car is turning left or right, giving you greater road visibility at night. Though a lot of the time, there can be failures in the unit that can cost a lot of money to repair, or you have replaced your OEM Lexus headlights with an aftermarket unit that does not have the AFS capability. In this case, I show you how to remove the AFS warning light from your dash by removing a fuse, as shown on my Lexus IS250.

Oh my word! Thank you so much. I have been googling everywhere for this. I don't have the original manual. I got aftermarket headlight assemblies and after installing them, the AFS Off light came on because there are no aftermarket headlight assemblies that have AFS integrated. Thanks for the help.

@@THESANCHEZBROWN Remove all bulbs for unnecessary lights. Also remove all sensors which might show you bad looking. And you will become the real canadian guy.

I got the led oem srip check mark for $600 version 2 and it worked for me , after I was done pulling out the fuse I started my car and it was goners , thanks dude

The VSC could come on for a variety of reasons so you’d have to diagnose that with a computer.
I did that to my Mazda 3 and the lights still flashing. I just unplugged my AFS from the module and it's still blinking. Grrrr.😢
There is NO mention of this AFS fuse on my 2012 Lexus GX460. Help! I don’t know which fuse to remove. I can no longer turn the afs light off on the steering wheel menu. The afs light is driving me crazy.

@@TheShakir98 Haven't tried it yet, the AFS light actually went away as the weather got warmer. If it comes back this winter I'll try it though.
@@alexross4062 I saw it on my GX460 and there’s not a singular fuse for AFS, it’s connected with other stuff with 10amp fuse
@@TheShakir98 yeah, I heard elsewhere for the LS that disconnecting the module under the passenger kick panel disables other modules in the car as well

after i change aftermarket front bumper grill it also throw the PCS light
can i remove the PCS fuse also?

Does anyone know if this would disable the system all together? I have an IS250 that has a faulty sensor that makes the lights constantly point down, but when I try to disable AFS through the on-screen menu it won’t let me toggle it to off. I’d like to make them static so that I can just adjust the headlights manually so that they shine in the direct angle. Let me know if you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated!

@@weetogee8280 Yes! I pulled the fuse out of mine and it stopped them from readjusting. All you have to do after you pull the fuse is go into the engine bay and use the adjustment screws to point them in the desired direction and then they’ll stay put. Personally I don’t mind not having the functionality of them and I often forget that I even did it.

Does it works on Mazda too? I have a 2012 Mazda 3 which I'm about to replace the AFS headlights for the base model ones, but I don't want the AFS light blinking on the dash

@carswithsonduren . I've tried it on my Mazda 3 not only does this not work for Mazda. It doesn't even work when I've unplugged the connection to the AFS module. Talk about trying to kill something that won't die. I think my only option now is to try and get at the bulb 💡

Just the fuse and that is it :) no replacement.
What about Lexus RX 350 (2007-2010)? They have a different fuse box and fuses!
If you have your car’s manual it should be there under the maintenance tab! It will have a detailed map of all the fuses in your fuse box.
My 2012 gx460 has no mention of the AFS on the diagram in my manual. Help!

All lights stopped working on the front right ride of my 2010 is 250 over a year ago. Headlight, fog light, , turn signals. Stinks.
