I have the same problem with the lights on my VW Scirocco but don't have any fault codes. Guess I'll try changing this part out anyway. thx for the vid
Thank you for this video, this is exactly what I was looking for. I broke my module when I was putting springs on my car because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. I pushed the rear control arm down to get the spring out and broke the little ball joint between the little green and black arms. Now I have to pay $266 for the module at my local VW dealership.
Hey my part just arrived to change same sensor same mark 7 golf, are all the bolts A T20 or 25? Just save me time before digging my tools out and getting under car 🤘🙏 Thanks!
My 2014 has failed mot on xenon headlight leveling sensors, how did you get on? Do you need a left and right sensor or just one? How much did you pay? Many thanks for your help
hello can you help me with my problem.. the headlights stayed too high I was on the highway and when I put on the high beam, the headlights went up a little, now they don't go down, they stayed like that Skoda octavia vrs 2018 No errors on scantool
Hello. I also have a problem with this sensor on a VW ID.3, I replaced it with a new one. And how to adapt it now with the OBD11 program? Because it shows that a Sensor replacement detected
My cars got the halogen headlamp and when changing the bulb I touched this plastic module with cables and twisted it now my headlight doesn’t work. Do you know the name of this part ?
I have a similar issue but the VAG-COM code says front left ride-height sensor mechanical failure. Mine would be okay for 30mins of driving and then fault out. It was like this for many months. In the past few days, it fails like yours within a few seconds of turning the car on and also like yours, my headlight range has diminished. Luckily the part arrived at my mechanics garage yesterday and it will be replaced along with some other parts next week. My part was quoted at 235$ Canadian. 25 would have been nice. Part looks easy to install, but I'm having sway bar links replaced at the same time, so I will have my mechanic do it.
Good luck! Hope that it's the sensor and not something else like the wiring or a module. The thing is that this sensor is most likely the same for VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi and it will be attached to different brackets but the electronic part is the same. So you could look fo the cheapest option from other brands and use your old bracket.
Great video; I have for my 2012 Skoda Superb no errors and the level sensors are well mounted, but I am quite often flashed by the oncoming traffic like they are disturbed by my lights. The AFL is calibrating the lights any time I start the car, and I did last year the technical inspection without mentions. What can it be?
Hi i have the same issue everything calibrates when i start how ever i have got a bend light not working but same as u i always get flashed by oncoming traffic . Awaiting for ur reply many thanks
Hello, I have a problem similar like yours, it pops out an error, auto range adjustment failed, on the tester the sensor from the rear suspension says it’s working, there existing another sensor in the headlight or somerhing like this, or i have to replace the sensor from the rear suspensin?
When scanning the car, what fault does your diagnostic tool show? There's number of things that can cause headlights range fault. Sometimes it can even be blown bulb for static cornering light.

@@mrfixpl thats great i truly appreciate your reply but i totally forgot too ask two other questions as i just came across it . 1.) do you have level sensors on both front wheels because when i checked the right it has it but the left doesn’t have anything there apart from a 4 pin cable thats loose and not connected too anything. My second question was the button too change the suspension mode too comfort or sport next too the gearstick continuously flashes is this due too the level sensor problem aswell . The car is 2014 vw cc r line . Many thanks and im sorry about the extra questions.
Whats the part call mate.i have golf edition 35 and on the dash its says no bending light afs error i changed the fuse and still no luck.what could it possibly be?

one of the local part shops in Poland had it for PLN100 (around $25). Electronic part was new, metal brackets might be used. Most likely same electronics are used in Skoda and are available with better price.
Thank you for the video, I have skoda octavia mk3 with xenons, AFS error coming up, checked the bulbs all working but sometimes xenons not levelling when I start car. It looks like same sensor is at fault. I will buy one and change it myself thanks to your video. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

Try sourcing the part somewhere else then dealership.
Indeed! For me also 💯 !
Im in the club too, broke the green arm installing coil overs. I can’t figure out the PN. One from VW and one from eBay and neither is an exact match
Thank you for sharing.
$25?!
One for my Nissan is $150 + $25 shipping!
Does anyone have the part number for this sensor?

Broke mine while trying to install springs….anyone find the part number?!

Great video, do you have any link where I can buy an OBD where I don't need to pay every month/year? Thanks on advance
Check CarScanner app. And get high quality ELM327 dongle for it.

Safer to check the part number on it.

Hello, what if my car is lowered with eibach springs, and you are reporting this erro, only the sensor solves it?
Why does my suspension look different to yours? I'm looking at retrofitting AFS so I can have Xenon lights. Have tdi
I believe some low spec MK7s can have torsion beam in the rear.
@@mrfixpl thanks for response. Guessing that means I can't retrofit AFS on my model then?

Czy wymagana jest calibracja takiego czujnika po wymianie?
To tak jak z czytaniem książek. Nie trzeba, ale warto.

suspension level sensor data is used for both headlights and DCC/adjustable suspension.

Is the AFS sensor only for one side arm?
Yes. But I believe that if you have MK7 Alltrack or optional DCC suspension there might be one in front as well.
@@mrfixpl thanks, for me it was only one side at the rear. Thanks for the video and support.

✌️
Fajnie, że się udało bez adaptacji żadnych
Może kiedyś pokaże jak zrobić nastawienia podstawowe. Są wymagane przy zmianie zawieszenia.
Ile ogólnie auto ma tych sensorów?
Zależy. 0, 1, 2 albo 4.
Great vid. Can you remember the part number as I have the same problem 🙄.
Thanks.
Check video description.
Good video. Thanks
