At my 2nd year of high school, my class actually started a project that we collect the school ENTIRE waste paper for a month to make recycled paper to use for any projects the school would make. We did around 500-600 sheets with the entire school help (yes, we made everyone in the entire school make paper) it was really fun tbh.

I used to make small "ice cream" out of tissues when I was 4-6, basically just a ball at the top and the rest fo the tissue wrapped around it. and I would go around to my family like "do you want ice cream?" and they all always politely declined, saying they already ate n stuff. so I would eat the tissue. whole. very often.

@@ninoninano3736 Hell yeah, tmnt! In the Swedish dubbed 2012 version (I love the 2012 version, just not the dubbed :p) When they were talking about the Shredder it was translated to ‘Pappers förstöraren’ which translates to “paper destroyer” XD

Can you make a part two but also test the paper. I’m curious to see if it’s good or not.
I mean, it depends on what you're using it for, I guess. It's great for scrapbooking, birthday cards, gift wrapping, maybe even as a background for an actual piece of art (that is drawn on a smaller sheet of "normal" paper and then glued onto the homemade paper). But in my experience it's just too absorbant (?) to be used for a lot of mediums.

I'm curious how well the paper folds. When I saw the flower paper, I thought it would make such nice gift wrap but I couldn't see it holding up that well if it were folded. Also, would it tape/stay taped well?

Well, this is certainly one of the most creative recycling tutorials I've ever seen. Although, I'd like to see how different mediums work on the paper. Can it handle pen and ink? Can you layer colored pencils? Will watercolors destroy it? Those are the questions on my mind.

I made my own paper for my high school art project - I included the tea leaves I used to tea stain the paper and it came out pretty neat. Really fun to watch you make paper as well - it's something I'd like to do again :)

From my experience, i personally like to let the papers soak then blend them. Then i take a strainer and take the pulp of the paper. And take a cotton cloth or sponge and soak up some water. Take a pan or pot and take the strainer, put it on the pot and get a new cloth, put it on top of the pulp and gently press. In that way the cloth sucks up some water, and some water drips into the pot. Plop it on a cloth and leave it to dry. Two hours for small papers and overnight for bigger ones. I'm exhausted after typing this🤠

My class did this same project, but instead of using dried flowers, we embedded seeds into the paper, so after we were done with it, we could literally plant it. It was amazing

i made a video on making paper a few years ago, it is therapeutic. also you can dry your paper in the oven on the lowest setting. you can also add dye, acrylic paint to tint the paper, but what is really cool is tea or coffee dying the paper!! so much you can do!

Ok I really want to know wHY I shouldn't use the blender for food material after making the pulp with it. Like- I can wash it-
The pulp gets stuck in every little nook and cranny of the blender that only its engineers know about, so you're probably gonna be tasting paper for a while after. Not to speak that some kinds like thermal paper release harmful chemicals when processed.

For the same reason you don't use paint water bowls/jars for food purposes after use. The chemicals that comprise paints and paper aren't great to ingest. Blenders can be found super cheap at goodwill and similar places.
