Also I found it easier to get the paper off the screen , use a small rolling pin on the paper while it's on the screen it takes the water out faster too. And it drops off the screen. Oh my this video took me back to when I homeschooled my son. He was about 5 or 6 years old at the time and we made paper as one of his lessons, recycling. It was fun. BTW my son will soon be 35 with a family of his own, so it's been a few years ago. Your paper turned out well, I was amazed with the back of the paper with impressions on them, how did you do that? I have an idea for you. Instead of putting flowers and leaves in the water, dry out your flowers and leaves. I always bundle the flowers in a bunch and on the cut end place a rubberband around it and hang it on a nail. Leave it hanging until they dry. Then place the flowers on your paper with a dot of glue, place in a frame and make a bow out of jute or bakers twine and wahala you have a homemade gift. Homemade gifts are the best. I'm new to your videos and really enjoy them. Your cabin and property is a long time dream of mine. I love it. If I lived closer I could teach you how to weave baskets out of vines. This was really interesting and educational. The paper seems like it wouldn’t be foldable, so this is what must have given rise to the scroll. Very nicely made paper, Hannah. I admire you for taking on tasks, that you’ve never done before, and the way you handle each experience as an opportunity to learn.

My art teacher in high school taught me how to make paper. This reminded me of that. I adored this. It was all sorts of wholesome creativity. Ps I also dig your ring!
I made all our paper for our wedding☺️💗💗💗 Thank notes and gift wrapped favors, we gave glass straws with baby frogs and geckos. People are still talking about this 5 years later. I added purple onion skins to my paper, super pretty with gold leaf. I used a paper shredder and blender, I like the double wood to get squares...I had feathered edges and all the left overs I made flower seed bombs 😁
I used to make lots way back in high school. I used old magazines, newspapers, added hibiscus flower and leaves, etc. This brings back memories. Thank you
The first time I saw this was a teacher showing kids about recycling. My take on it was a bit more perverse. I used the junk mail.😂 Loved getting the brightly colored ones because I used them to color the paper. I made them into note cards with pressed dried flowers on them and matching envelopes. Every so often you can find cards like that with wildflower seeds impregnated in the paper. You just put it in the garden, cover it with soil and water!👍 Fun stuff!💜
Very nice try Hannah! You nailed it! I use to make paper many years ago for my etching and lithography prints. I made paper from cotton, bambo, rice, coffee beans, the medium is enless. The starch agent is just a 2+ table spoon per gallon of water just to help tie and solidify the fibers together. I heard some paper masters in Ancient China use carbon ash. Salute!
I love how you were so scared of the vegans at the beginning. It’s okay sis, you do you! We honestly don’t mind as long as you’re aware 😊 love this video by the way
mostly true, at least for vegans who aren't overly aggressive or extreme. just wanted to point out though, that free range isn't a big step up from caged/cage-free, unless you've seen that those chickens were in good conditions, or personally know the farmer haha. or, maybe you could have your own chickens ;)
Blacksimms I know what you mean that’s why I said we don’t mind (I guess it sounds wrong now) and I agree it’s toxic when vegans tell others what to eat but most of the time they really don’t mean it-they see it as educating others. But yeah everyone is free to do what they want
Cocoa Powdered milk oh they mean it it’s a superiority thing. Most of these vegans on RUclips follow extreme diets and aren’t even properly keeping up there health are telling people who eat meat they aren’t healthy. The comments I’ve seen on here to people who aren’t vegan anymore are disgusting. You can’t educate someone when you don’t have the knowledge to properly maintain your own health. I’d rather live like my ancestors did and eat meat than be in a toxic community like that.
I made my first single 6x4 sheet of paper today from an old bill that came in the mail. I saw a video on how to tear the paper, then put the shreds in a 20oz soda or 16.9oz water bottle and let it soak in warm water for a few minutes. Then I shook the bottle for around 5 minutes. That was long enough to prepare the pulp. I poured into my frame very similar to your process and let it dry. It came out really well!! The lesson I watched explained how shaking the bottle vigorously is enough to break down the paper. Yes, it worked!! It's slightly thick, but it's great! I've learned so many skills during the pandemic. Thank you for your video, Hannah! Your video environment is so relaxing. You're very pretty :-) - Shannon in north Texas

I did a sweet mothers day gift with my preschool class. We made recycled paper out of our construction paper scraps but we also added wildflower seeds. The children then cut the dry paper into flower shapes. In the card we added a note instructing mom to plant the flowers in the garden and watch my love grow. Could also be a cute idea as a wedding/baby shower invitation or gift tag.
At first glance, I thought you were going to be making toilet paper 🤪 thought we had finally solved one of our quarantine problems lmao but this is even better ;)
I did this recently in my class in college... Yeah, that’s the kinda of stuff you do Visual Arts. I was the only one who thought it was a good ideia putting plants in the middle of it and my professor kinda judged me (?)
My only concern would be the functionality. It looks cute, but will drawings work? There again, visual ARTS. It sure is art and it’s subjective too. I’m sure it looked great!
I made paper a while ago as well and a way to get the paper unstuck from the screen when you flip it over is to blot the paper through the screen so you’re essentially drying that side a bit and it should peel right off!
Hannah, your homemade paper is lovely! It was really cool how you experimented with the fern leaves and flower petals! The embossed imprints on the paper was my favorite. They reminded me of fossels! Thanks for this interesting video! Happy Day...

OMG I love this idea. I think I’m gonna make some for one of my ex-friends except I’m going to use poison ivy leaves in the mixture. What an ass scratching idea.
I went to this one class before with my grandma, and we made paper too! Mine was purple and I put flowers into it while trying to have flower imprints. I think I threw it out I wish I didn’t :(

My only concern would be the functionality. It looks cute, but will drawings work? There again, visual ARTS. It sure is art and it’s subjective too. I’m sure it looked great!
@Juliea Đặng exactly hahaha
@@wronglayerbutok in my case i did it to the art itself be the holes that the plants left on it (since they rot)... the result was horrible tho
Thank you
I made paper a while ago as well and a way to get the paper unstuck from the screen when you flip it over is to blot the paper through the screen so you’re essentially drying that side a bit and it should peel right off!
Hannah, your homemade paper is lovely! It was really cool how you experimented with the fern leaves and flower petals! The embossed imprints on the paper was my favorite. They reminded me of fossels! Thanks for this interesting video! Happy Day...
Holy CRAP. I saw this video randomly, and I thought to myself " Dang she's cool and I like the vibes, let me check out her channel." *Clicks and sees that you're a fellow VANLIFER!*

Greetings from Australia. Not sure why this came up in my suggested, but glad it did. Loved watching the vid & your positive attitude. You've earned a sub 😊😊
Those overall shorts are so cute
Gorgeous! So going to try this! Thank you for making this lovely video!
As earlier comments have said, it really takes me to that place in childhood where everything in nature was so FULL of potential, and the world was a playground for the imagination to shape. Beautiful!
OMG I love this idea.
I think I’m gonna make some for one of my ex-friends except I’m going to use poison ivy leaves in the mixture.
What an ass scratching idea.
Dont, if they are illergic in any way or it effects them too much they could die
@@shootavq hahahahaha lol 😂

From ascendance of the bookworm
I went to this one class before with my grandma, and we made paper too! Mine was purple and I put flowers into it while trying to have flower imprints. I think I threw it out I wish I didn’t :(
Wow paper with flowers is awesome. I'm gonna try your porocess for making it!
This is so cool! You can just keep reusing paper infinitely!
Am I the only one that thinks she looks juust a bit like emma stone..? Only me? Ok 😂
Came here to say this! It’s her facial expressions and the way she moves her mouth, I think.

absolutely! 🌿
I’ve seen someone make paper and use a wet sponge on top of the screen once you put it down on the cloth to help release it. Hope this helps
Shes like of the fire girl from Hellboy was into nature, thats the vibe
This is the first video I ever saw of Hannah’s. I love her.
Love watching you make paper. The little girl in you sure came out.
