- Papermaking is an amazing way to give new life to scrap paper. As a bookbinder, I accumulate a lot of small pieces of quality paper that are too good to recycle. Here I document my playful learnings and share them with you. I am not an expert whatsoever, so discussion is welcome!

You can iron the papers too to give the sheets a more hotpressed looking finish. You just need to use another thin sheet of paper over the handmade sheet. I use a sheet of newsprint.
Little tip from somebody who was court-ordered to make paper and talk about my feelings every day for four months... Use a chamois cloth instead of the shop towels. no need to sponge and gives a more uniform finish.
😮

Awesome project🤗🤗🤗
Wonderful :) one of the nicest tutorials I’ve seen. You have a lovely eye for color and texture and this has given me a lot of insight into the process for myself, I am wanting to do hand made paper for a mini comic with pressed flowers in the paper 🥰
This video is so well done. Excellent tutorial. You have inspired me to get my paper making supplies out again after years in the storeroom. Thank you
I can't tell you how satisfying it was to watch this I love texture and to see homemade paper made was just pure joy.. it is an art ..it is thoughtful, delicate, soulful 👍

The gradient papers turned out so beautifully! Springy for the green ones and the purple-blue ones are so galactic ✨
Ooh yes Springy and Galactic ✨
This is stunning. I'm quite impressed. You are a very creative young woman. I made paper about 30 years ago just for fun with all homemade items for my deckle and everything. I want to start again to use it in my junk journals. Thank your for you always creative mind.
This video was so informative , i was watching for fun and realized I learned lots of hacks and tips ... Keep up the good work 💗
Congratulations! Greetings from Colombia :)
When transferring freshly ground pulp into jars, you might want to consider using a canning funnel.
nice... thank you for sharing
Have you considered adding drier lint to the pulp? Would love to try making equipment and creating some of these papers. Your explanation is well done.
It is very cool
Fascinating. Much less equipment than I expected, but still significant mess. I wonder if it would be usable for water colouring.
Great video!
Thanks Ben!
You need to make sure the screen with the newly made paper is dryer. Keep sponging the water off the screen until it separates from the paper all by itself. I hope this helps! 😊
Yaaaay! 🎉❤
Thank you for sharing this video! I really enjoyed the craft ideas part of the video. What material did you use to place the paper on to dry?
✅ Well done. 🙂
I was watching a tv science special once on paper making. It seems that elephant dung makes great paper. Would be a fun experiment if you have a zoo nearby. Because the fiber fully digested, you only need to wash it out to get the natural pulp. I wonder if other plant eater’s dung would also work. Does not work with cows, but yes with horses. I tried it. The elephant sanctuary moved away before I got dung to try it. lol.
They used a huge water barrel and a paint mixer to get the pulp in suspension. Done outside in the yard. In case you want to expand your paper products. ;)
Love your woodblock-like prints. They would make great book covers.
It makes great paper. I have some.
I wonder if using a shamwow would make it easier to absorb the water from the paper
I love the ideai of making recycled paper, but i never tried
So well explained! Thank you :) For the gradient paper, do you use already colored paper or do you add some kind of ink to give it the color?
I want to know that too
Hi I’m not sure if you’re still interested but I’m pretty sure you can do both. But if you’re going ti use ink make sure to make it a bit darker than you want because of the water added in the pulp I think the colour fades a bit when you dry the paper.
Where do the colors come from? This is great! Thanks.
Where can one purchase those beautiful glass frames to hang finished art?
What are the specks in your paper? Is it something that you added or is it simply a coarser blending
where did you find the frames you used
Where does one find those awesome frames that look like purses?
Where did you get those bear stickers 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Would this work with any scrap paper?
is there any way to make cardboards too?
🙏💜💮
Also what did you use to color your paper 😊
share my experience, paper dyes can use natural dyes or you can also use textile dyes, if there are various types of natural dyes, there are strong colors, some are weak, they fade easily, textile dyes will still have strong colors, apart from using dyes, you can also separate paper raw materials which will be recycled in a blender are grouped with similar paper colors so no need to use dyes anymore
Did you know that regular mouth jars will fit most blenders
😮
Your background music overshadows your voice.
hello, I produce handmade recycled paper, I can make thin, thick and flat paper. I'm happy if I can discuss it so that handmade recycled paper is of higher quality and useful
Hello, I also produce recycled paper, and I would like to know how I can make the paper more strong and not tear easily, I will be grateful if you tell me
This would be so lovely video if there was no background music or some lighter sounds without drumming. That would be suitable for relaxing video. This way with drumming it is, alas, tiresome. And you have such a lovely voice and very nice presentation. Not to mention all the hard work you put into it.
Thank you for your honesty. We need more People in the medical profession thinking like this teaching like this. 🤯🤔🤗🫡
