5 years ago, I met the now, most closest person in my life in one of your diy sketchbook's comment section.
I just wanted to share.
That’s so wholesome-
oh my god that's so sweet
This is main character vibes
Crying! Mind telling us the story?
Tell us the story!!
I... just learnt that you can break your utility knives.. That's what the stripes are for...
This- when she was bending her knife I was like O_o what are you doi-- oh WHAt?!?!?
@@sunflorii IKR SAME HERE!!!
@@sunflorii Literally me too! LOL
I don't believe you unless you are a small one. It's how to sharpen them. The next one down is "new".
Lol
Love this as ALWAYS but the real hero is how quite your studio AND street is... how do you film without even a car driving by 😱
lots of editing ...
ps. love you and your videos!
@@PearFleur how much time did it take you to make the book?
Two favourites giving each other love! Love to see it!
@@misty1732 i have the same question, it looks amazing
The God of Punch Needle Art (plus that style of drawing is stuning) congrats The Goddess of ASMR Unpacking Supplies (plus love everything about this chanel)
Her: professional tools, calm, satisfying, neat
Me: I've got a sewing needle some yarn and scissors *glass breaking and car crash nosies in the background*
Yes! 😂 and a thumb tack instead of an awl
dont forget the mexican music
😅
Exactly
You forgot family screaming in the background
When I watch these, I am in awe of how together your shit is. Just imagining the amount of work that’s gone into not only making this art, but also gathering supplies and keeping everything so tidy and coherent, is amazing.

Thank you for watching! Let me know what you want to see next :-).
Also, yes, I'm still curious about your favorite children's book (while you were growing up or now!). please leave recommendations!
I'm not sure if many people know about the book, but, 'Hey Willy, see the pyramids' is a book that I hold close to me.
Hello :D
We’re going on a bear hunt by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury
Mercy Watson series by Kate Dicamillo
Flat Stanley series by Jeff Brown
the only child by Guojing! such a precious book i found recently
Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See I remember reading this in ELD and preschool.
its so organized and neat and the one time i tried bookbinding i somehow set my table on fire
Ikr! Btw love you username
Omg did your room get caught in fire? That's traumatic
-how?
I-
The real question here is how (s)he set her/his room on fire
Your set-up and supplies are always so beautiful, and just seem very unique and personalized. I hope you're doing well throughout these times, and I hope that you continue to put-out these amazing videos.
Да, эти видео- мой личный сорт успокоювающих. Я надеюсь, что написал это слово правильно.
This is the most pleasing bookbinding video I've seen and despite the fact that it isn't a tutorial I learned a lot by watching it
I clicked as soon as I knew that I needed an escape from reality
This hit hard
There’s a lot of us needing to do that these days I’m afraid. It’s a modern day version of “stop the world I want to get off!”
i usually dissociate from reality and i actually relate to this
Something I’ve realized in recent years... I enjoy making sketchbooks more than drawing in them lol 😝 but seriously, I need to stop. It’s not helping me become a better artist.
How many do you make (in a certain amount of time) ??
@@salina_y oh maybe one every couple of months... It’s therapeutic in some way. But I’m just wasting paper if I hardly use them. Hopefully I get back to using them at some point.
I’d might even buy one ☺️
It kinda teaches u patience and commitment tho, which can help in the long run artistically. It can also challenge you to think outside of the box when you come across a problem
@@laurenangel2445 omg that's literally how I started a sketchbook business! One day I just couldn't stop making bookstbut I could never manage to fill up so many of them so I started selling and now I never find the time to draw or paint 😅
Whenever I feel stressed I try to make a sketchbook. I never end up filling all the pages with doodles but the act of cutting and folding makes me feel at peace ☺️
Legit the amount of patience this girl has...
I'd love to be as calm, patient and quiet as you are.
Edit: what is that top you are wearing it looks beautiful!
When you want a room like hers but you’re budget and determination are no high enough.
P.s but for real, your space work is my dream 🤩🤩🤩
After watching this video ,I realized how impatient and speedy we have become. Amazing. World needs to be slow and this quiet .
currently day dreaming about being gifted a book like this by a significant other and filling the pages with romantic musings and all of the things I love about them 🥰
you seem like you'd place the sticker absolutely perfectly on a lego :)
This video is a feast for the senses. The consistency of the warm tones in everything (from the wood work surface, to the containers you rest your tools in, to even the color of your nail polish and the cuffs of your shirts) makes the cool punctuation of blue and grey stand out. The sounds of the paper, thread, and glue are almost tactile. The music is at the perfect level. The lighting and use of focus is superb. This is cinema level videography. Absolutely beautiful.
I never thought one day I'd feel like crying watching a video of someone binding a book, but everything in this is just so beautifully done...
I love how you reused the wrapping papers from choosing and keeping! And of course the color of whole video 😍
Yes plz everyone ♻️ recycle
Your video brought tears to my eyes. Tears of joy. The soothing music, the craft, the beauty of it all. Thank you!
How can someone's life be so relaxed and quiet long enough to do this?
a introvert person maybe.
Lots of editing
Dainty piano and careful knife placement: exactly what I like to see.
How do you manage to do this properly?? Like i made one but its ugly.
Hello! I've been binding books since I was ten! And honestly, like every skill only practice makes perfect 💙 You can also check out Sea Lemon yt channel! She has TONNNNES of videos and tips for beginners!
She uses skill share 🤪
A lot of practice..
Patience🙂
Most of people won’t make it but we love the way you make it :)
Watching you do this kind of stuff with sime soft music in the background really calms me down
This is so calming...paper and sewing are my two favourite sources of sounds, and your bookbinding videos are just sublime. ♥ Thank you so much for your delicacy and hard work!
Wow!~ I first discovered your channel when I happened upon your old tutorial. Can't believe that was 5 years ago! I think had I not stumbled upon it then I would have never taken book making courses in college and enjoyed the beautiful process.
I found her bookbinding video just this week and decided to subscribe because its so relaxing. I love her bookbinding videos
Your studio space is fascinating and I love the way you make your own sketchbooks. I sometimes do that too and there is an immense satisfaction in painting in one as such.
Avatar: Earth, Water, Air, or fire?
Me: Book
yes.
What’s your favorite character? :D
@@Ceo_cinnamon its a meme
Bookbinding seems like such a relaxing activity. I tried once, but didn’t really have the tools or knowledge so it was quite frustrating.
I'm shocked, this aesthetic is incredible, I experience so much inspiration..
That hook-like needle is a suture needle for surgery that I use for horse surgeries lol. It's so cool to see it used in this way
EDIT: Thx to the ppl in the comment, I know that this is not the same needle used for surgeries. The shape is the same, but the sharpness could be different. This one is purely for book-binding. Thx for letting me know, guys! 😄
That sounds so interesting! How long have you been practicing? And do you specialise in horses? I started vet uni this autumm, so I am trying to soak up all the knowledge I can get^^
Hooked needles are a very common tool in bookbinding! You can buy different sizes. I can imagine that needles for surgery maybe are sharper? They're also used in other crafts, like a lot of sewing-related things, ex.; upholstery!
(edit: had to edit comment because for some reason it only a part was posted and the words were mixed around 😑)
Actually no, they make some specifically for bookbinding, sewing, various other crafts. Similar, but not the same!
@@BaileyConnorArt lol I see, learned a new thing everyday. It shaped the same way, and in my country, since we're a developing country, we kinda re-use everything that we can get (sometimes we even re-shape syringe needle into surgery needle), I thought this is the same thing, using things for other purposes 😂 Thank you for the correction!
@@diesuperhenne4851 I'm not specialized in horses. Rather I'm more of a Wildlife Vet 😄 the term Wildlife Vet doesn't exist in my country, but I'm more focused in wildlife animals and conservatory medicine, so I guess the closest equivalent in US would be Wildlife Vet. I did surgeries on horses back when I was still a vet med student. I've just started my career as a vet about 2 years ago, so I'm still new to the field!
My bp has been lowered watching this! Crazy satisfying seeing such talented hands in action. Beautiful result, beautifully edited. Your lovely bento organizers and tools... I could go on and on. Thank you. 👏👏👏
This is such a lovely and chill video to watch. I'm learning something AND I'm relaxed. Your aesthetic is lovely, just watching you set out your tools is calming!
This was so relaxing to watch : ) You're definitely getting me inspired to try bookbinding someday!
aaa its such a pleasant surprise to meet you here :] i love your videos and your art!!
Ahhhh, so perfect! I took a bookbinding course in college and your bookbinding vids always make me nostalgic. ^_^
Amo como te ha quedado. Sencillamente bellísimo. Muchas gracias
My favorite pocket sketchbook just decided to fall apart last week so I will be redoing the binding soon and this video really helps to let me know what the process should look like! Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing this! I've always wondered how to do this.
I'm a book lover so this was awesome.
💕💛💚💙💜
*Don't forget to create something today! 🎨*
who tf dislikes something like this? my anxiety went away while watching this, it's really peaceful
I'm amazed. The quality and the colors are beautiful. Thank you. 🌷
This video showed me my way to calmness. I'm serious, I'm a perfectionist so even when I draw or paint for fun it has to be perfect (and it obviously is not because no-one is born with those skills). I think too much about the process and the outcome and I stress even more. But this video showed me that I can have a hobby that won't stress me out. And today I made my first sketchbook. I plan to make one for each of my friends. I love this. Thank you PearFleur 💗
aww yes!! i was secretly wishing you would upload a video of this after seeing it in your ig story😅 thank youuu
I love how she used the Choosing Keeping wrapping paper for the covers.
This is simply stunning in every way - the photography is - well, I have no words! Thank you for sharing your haptic skills and creative genius to make such a lovely sketchbook. I am still reeling from the beautiful images as your tools and elements were laid out as the film began. Beyond words! Thank you so much!
Not only are you a talented painter, you have a real gift when it comes to composing these videos. They’re beautiful, soothing, and they’re such a lovely documentation of the creative process. 👏🏻
I came to see how to make a sketchbook, but when I realized it, I was fascinated by the sound of wood and paper.
Does anyone else have decent talent in drawing but absolutely terrible skills with hands like me? Even cutting papers in equal halves is so difficult. You go girl!
yes yes same-
Your studio and watching the process is so soothing. Love watching. Your channel when I first wake up!
I always feel like I'm watching a benevolent witch go about her daily routine when I watch your videos!
How my baby sisters falls asleep: *your videos*
for someone with OCD like me this video is PERFECT!
Love love LOVE how she used the Choosing Keeping packaging paper! Recycling is awesome babyyy
you've really inspired me to pursue more of my interest in different creative outlets, i've learned that i don't need to stick to one thing, and that i can do all of it! thank you so much for the inspiration and aesthetics ☺️
That was interesinting and relaxing thank you for the nice video
I didn't even make it, yet it feels so satisfying seeing the finished product
一つ一つの場面がとっても綺麗でとっても丁寧で見惚れてしまう😌🧡🧡
Your videos are just so amazing. The videography, lighting, aesthetic.... just brings a sense of peace. When I can't seem to find it in my own life, it's sure to be on your channel. Thank you so much for sharing.
I think everyone had a secret hope of making their own sketchbook one day.
Yea but I sadly just use a piece of paper or notebook and only have 1 sketchbook (I didn’t make)
All I want is to fall asleep on the couch while my girlfriend does this on the table nearby while it rains outside.
Me too🥺
That's so wholesome
I'm so jealous of all your straight edges and right angled corners and perfectly matched components 😍😍
And non-tangling threads 😮😮😮
Wow, I love it 💕. It feel like the viewer is doing it himself. It’s also so relaxing to watch. 🧚♀️
Such a beautiful video!
I love how the sketchbook came out and I especially like the paper you chose for the covers :)
I have a little tip for you, which I picked up from my bookbinding teacher in school: rather than scoring your paper with a blade to get it to fold properly, use an embroidery needle, the back of a butterknife or a letter opener. Something that is not sharp or pointy and won't cut the paper, but rather press it down. This way, your paper has less risk of tearing when you are pulling the thread tight :)
oh that’s a great tip! thank you :-)
@@PearFleur no problem :)
This is the most calming thing //inhales 😌😌
also, what board/hard material did you use for the covers?
^^
I saw the brand Cresent and they make illustration boards, so my guess is that is what she uses
Thank you so much for your video. From the aesthetics to your voice to the sensory the music even your hands this was very pleasant to watch❤
Loved this! Please make more videos like this in the future. They’re so peaceful to watch and listen to. And I haven’t been able to find videos quite like this. Very unique content. Thank you for sharing
may I ask what you are using for the covers and if possible where did you get it? I love bookbinding and that board looks perfect for covers.
It's likely chipboard and you can buy that at craft stores. It's also relatively easy to find online, sites like blick definitely carry it
I don't know why someone would dislike this video because i can't think of anything wrong with it! p.s. your vids are super relaxing!
Maybe they misclick
Their finger slip and go yeet-
Thank you so much for this video! You inspired me to try bookbinding myself and now I got a new fun hobby and beautiful sketchbook :)
Your aesthetics and attention to every detail are a sight for sore eyes. Thank you for another amazing video!
your videos are instant serotonin and creativity! they always help me a lot dealing with anxiety and artblock. thank you so much for creating such a precious content ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
This happened 3 times today.. I watch an old video of a youtuber I like and they upload a new vid the second I put play-
Your video is so peaceful! I was very nervous and it soothed me in no time! And you're so patient to make this beautiful sketchbook!
The vídeo is very well produced, even with not the purpose of being a tutorial, we can see clearly every step of the process, and for that being, we can learn from this video.
Also, the music and the lighting give a very relaxing vibe.
My father used to make this for me 😭
It's sad to say that I'm watching this while crying
Aw ur good father ❤️❤️🤧😥
Hope you get better ;(
Robber: Sees her house looks fine to rob
In her house:paint , paper,crayon thingy, 1 frame camera
Robber:wtf
Love this especially that peaceful music and no unknown noise wow awsome
This is so relaxing! I love watching these especially at night when I am tired ❤️
Oof 9 minutes ago?? Im early yaay!!
And also, a new subscriber 😊😊
This is what productive people do on their free time.. Not read black butler fan fiction
that’s oddly specific... and ... I feel targeted....
Thank you so much for making this video! You're so talented! I've been wanting to make a handmade sketchbook for a while and your video really inspired me to finally do so! Thank you!
this is one of the most calming videos ive ever watched, thank you! and the result is absolutely gorgeous
1:56 You could do that with your cutter?! WTF
Actually yeah, I do that if my cutter/. Utility knife is not sharp anymore
Actually yeah, I do that if my cutter/. Utility knife is not sharp anymore
Jesus loves all 😇😊🥰
This video was perfect, I loved everything about it. The lighting was so good and you did amazing on the book it's wonderful!!
I admire the calm you have in the videos, I feel I am affected by this calm, you are like spreading it everywhere. I hope I can also be as calm and peaceful as you when doing a work of art and in life in general❤
P.s. i trying to be like that
So pretty!! And in response to the description if oral iron isn’t working for you ask your doc about iron infusions! It helped my quality of life dramatically!!
I think this is the first bookbinding video I've seen that actually shows some detail on how the pages are stitched. Very nice!
It's so pleasing and calming to watch your videos
just a genius flourishing in their craft, love to see it x
Wow, this is beautiful. I love how this video is curated as well. Amazing work!!
I tried my first sketch book binding today and I guess it ended up pretty well...took me an hour and I must salute your patience cause it really needs patience...my threads entangled with each other God knows how many times.....
I always love these videos, theyre so calming and quiet. really calms the mind
I watched your sketchbook making video two years ago and I used it as my most cherish one. My best and favorite pieces i've made are in it and it made me happy to see you make one again, maybe it's a sign for me to do so as well and get back to making things :)
