Actually yah we can do it.. should punch the hole correctly ..an sew ...well we can do it ..I too think so😅..edit;-. I've done perfectly...in first try stitches were a bit loose. And in the next I rocked it ...i believe u all can do it as well. It may look difficult but when we do it seems easier...
You guys can! It may not be exactly perfect but I’m confident it would be functional, unique, handmade, and gorgeous. 😊 Sounds worth it to me! If you haven’t already, start with making a junk journal.
Underestimating a project can actually be a good thing. It makes you procrastinate less, gives some confidence to start. By the time you feel like the project is actually too hard and overwhelming, you're too deep to stop halfway. So you just have to finish it.
Watching you I feel connected to the book binders of the past who toiled patiently to preserve the contents of each book for humanity future. And, I am inspired to care more deeply for the antique books that come into my home. The waves cover is simply divine. A treasure! Thank you!
This is one of the most beautiful things I've had the pleasure of watching...I honestly think I didn't blink the entire time. I saved this to watch at night to relax and sleep. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. You are a godsend to me...♥️
Now, THAT is what I call a Labor of Love. A moving meditation. Although I am a book lover and have kept a journal for years, I don't know if I'd have the patience required to create something as beautiful as any one of these journal books. Great work!
You could always start with a much thinner book, just to feel the waters :) I have a beautiful cover to a old journal that I want to re-use, so this gave me plenty of help!
🙏👏🌺 In a sense it is a visual and sound meditative experience in which delicacy, slowness, peace and relaxation blend with the melodious sound of the paper
Bookbinding is among some of the coolest hobbbies/craft/career makings I've seen in a while! Quite the dedicated, layered, step-by-step process you go through! I loved watching this at night, thank you for such a cool video!
Watching this was an incredible experience. Competently measuring, cutting and glueing things together is so satisfying to watch. And I love the covers!
This video helped me through an anxiety episode, and also made me hope for a life where one day I can make books for my children, even though not even as beautifully made as those, but full of love and care just as I feel you make these ones.
This is truly a list art😞. I’m so happy I found your channel. I used to be an Account Manager in the printing industry and my Father was a pressman and Graphic Artist. He did EVERYTHING by hand in our small shop when I was young. I miss those days!!❤️❤️
Your books are beautiful. I could imagine them being made that way 200 years ago and in another 200 years. Somethings are just meant to be made by two hands. Very pretty hands in your case.
@@PPaxP Oh pet are you referring to the printed dots. Who would have thought that ancient techniques & skills would be combined with modern technology. Feeling for all those out of work 'Dot makers'.
These are so beautiful craftsmanship. Thank you for sharing with us the process. So beautiful if I can have them, I don't know if I will have the heart to write on it.
So beautiful, I would love to have the patience and focus to do something like this. I've started knitting so that's something. Love your videos, thank you ❤
You knit! 😮I never could. Crochet...sort of. 😢💁🇨🇦🥰🌺62 and clumsy hands. But I can draw.😊Knitting is something else that takes skill and patience. You are fortunate.
I am a booklover since I was a little girl and I dreamed of being a bookbinder later. Unfortunately this does not happened. Your video is so beautiful and it warmes my heart to see you doing bookbinding. Thank you !
That is an absolutely incredible skill. I’m thinking you sell these, but originally that must have been an expensive hobby. But talk about unique memory books, these are so inventive, they could each be so unique.
Really enjoyed watching the whole process of you making the journal and I must say it a really donating and tedious process to make a journal thank you so much for sharing the whole process .
Same! I've only had experience with the ginormous commercial version that hums with electricity when you use it. I've never seen a smaller, simpler one like this one. It's so dainty and quiet.
Wow. Did you cut the forage before you backed it? I can’t believe this video came up for me. I am a book binder and I love ASMR. Thank you so much it’s beautiful.
Wow so many ways to bind books. I have watch a couple of different videos by different people but i am totally mind blown how many steps are involved in making books. I am a book nerd and i have great pride in saying so. but how to make your own journals is something i will definitely try even once to say i did it would be a really cool thing for a book nerd to do. I have two miniature horses coming to my farm and i would love to make a book for each of them so i can write the daily habits and naughty behaviour and their exercising and playing in the paddock outside my house and their nightly routine the things these tiny horses do are so funny some times its nice to capture some of that for my Grand Daughters to keep. Thank you so much for showing me how to do something like this. I have subscribed to your channel The books made in this episode are stunning i love the oriental themed paper you used on both covers of the books i look forward to seeing more. Merry Christmas to you and may God bless you. Happy New Year too.
Que trabajo más bello !!!❤ un arte que vale mucho, se ve lo minucioso que es cada detalle y ojalá las personas aprecien como se realizó cada libro 😍 Te felicito y agradezco que lo muestres .❤
Hi just wanted to thank you. I have a ten year old book. I always thought you had to buy books instead of making them. Well I perfectly bound a book! Takes a while but looks and feels so much better. Two on a page and page ranges works well. I even got into bubble art for the cover.
I’ve been binding a few sketchbooks, or more like notepads really. Very amateurish end results but a lot of fun. Never came a cross the french link stitch until now I also never tried to actually finish with a proper cover. This was an excellent and inspiring tutorial
I'm just learning to make books. I bought your book and then a kit and am looking forward to making my own books for gifts. Sure wish I would have learned this about 40 years ago 😅
Woooooaaah!!! Your work is stunning 😍 I also bind and it was a pleasure to watch your video! Everything is so perfect 👌🏻 My inner perfectionist is so happy 😅
Is there something in the package you are using as a weight press, or did you just wrap a brick in craft paper to make it look nice? It's a very satisfying 'Brown Paper Package'!
Very peaceful - love the sounds of awl piercing paper, thread pulled through the paper, and powerful cutter. Really nice embossing ( what was used to bring out the stamp design? ). Thank you!
Oh, my goodness, 27 minutes and 58 seconds of sheer bliss. I couldn't take my eyes off of this video, it's so beautiful.
what was wrong with that last second?😂
@@grimm_reaps996 I must have blinked🤣
It’s 59 second* 🦦
i’m in a bookmaking class to fulfill my fine arts credit at uni and it’s so fun !! i love that i can understand the steps in this video 😎😎😎
I WANT TO DO THAT TOO! Maybe my uni has smt like your course, I'm going to search for it. Thanks for the idea!
My toxic trait is thinking I can do this on my first try perfectly without any experience

My cat and I were mesmerized.
crying because these are sooo beautiful
Yes, I too am crying and pissing and shitting and ejecting other bodily fluids; just because it is so beautiful.
Okay calm down there, buddy. This is actually really nice-we don’t need scatological embellishment lol

Oh, what a wonderful dying art form! I love books - also their material aspect - and watching them come to be is a pleasure!
Those turned out absolutely beautiful! I don't think I'd have the patience for all those steps but I could watch you all work all day! Best wishes!

Absolutely stunning! The most beautiful process I have ever seen. Your dedication to detail is truly a gift!
Man I wish I had something as beautiful to write to be worth noted in such a fantastic piece of art
The work you did on the covers was so cute! I'm def trying that the next time I make a sketchbook

What beautiful work, what care. Every gesture is so full of attention, affection even. I admire you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Folding the paper always makes me anxious. Here it is done with such calm assurance. I could never.

Minus a Brother printer...😅

The sewing part was enlightening, always wondered how it was done. Also I like your bracelet.

I probably missed something but what was going on with the Brothers printer? I didn’t see any printed material
She made the paper dotted :)
Imprimió puntos en las hojas
Such beautiful and gentle hands created such beauty. Bravo!
Your video arrived here in Brazil, and I need to say... What an incredible result! I'm in love ❤

I’ve been binding a few sketchbooks, or more like notepads really. Very amateurish end results but a lot of fun.
Never came a cross the french link stitch until now I also never tried to actually finish with a proper cover.

That's serious craftsmanship. Far from what I do; however, you can always spot a craftsman. Kudos!
What a wonderful, calming process 🕊

It's a brick! I think one of Chanel's more recent videos was speaking to some cheaper version of binding tools.
It's soooo beautiful. I feel like I should be that book 😅 coz it's so pretty and perfect ✨️
VERY nicely done!
Ohh my God that was so amazing! You are incredibly talented and that was awesome!
