- I found garbage on the side of the road...and turned it into beautiful paper!
It was a really fun and satisfying process! And honestly I was pretty amazed by the results!
I show each step/the full process including how to make a mould and deckle, so you too can make your very own recycled handmade paper. As always, thank you for watching and subscribing!

I made paper a couple times as a kid with my mom. We didn't presoak the fibers, we just went straight to the blender. Good fun, great memories. Also, as a crafter, peal the back away from the project rather then the project away from the back. The way you pealed the paper curls the paper after all that work pressing it, but if you flip and peal the fabric instead then you can leave the paper nice and flat

Every time I see these things I am just reminded how fun it would be in a workshop class (triangulation with compass is another cool example). Like imagine making your own paper in primary school, it would teach so many things and make kids value it more.
So you're making paper with paper, frames, netting, water, a box, a blender, a sponge, a bowl and a lot of work... seems efficient :D
Haha not gonna put the paper manufactures out of business but it’s a really fun and rewarding process! 😅🙌🏻

This is so cool, I found somebody who did a similar thing, but instead of making paper, he put some glue in it, 3d printed a mold and made objects with this technique.

I never, realized, that this was possible. About every 3 years we clean out all our old bills and papers and we get a trash bag filled with shredded papers, we always just threw it away.
Now you can have a paper making party with it all! 🙌🏻

It would probably be more durable if you mix glue with the pulp. It will help the fibres hold. Artists use the glue/paper/water mix to make paper mache clay. It can be used for making sculptures!

It was all amazing! Typically when I watch RUclips I tend to set the speed at 1.5x or even 2x, but with your video I watched it at normal speed and I enjoyed every seconds of it!
I kinda regret the video wasn't longer because I was so into it through your soothing voice, the uplifting music and of course the fascinating process of making paper (by the way congrats on getting it right the first time!) that those tenish minutes seemed to went by in a flash...

My art teacher from high school taught us how to make paper and she had us use colored tissue paper for gifts to color the paper we were making. It’s so fun!
