A DIY Backyard Grill Cart With Concrete Top (Sorta)

  • Опубликовано: 22 апр 2021
  • I made a backyard grill cart that goes anywhere because I missed the smoke from my fire pit. Now I can have smoke again! This grill cart holds a Weber 22 inch kettle grill. I added a concrete insert to the top so I would have a built in hot plate. It works great! It's so nice having everything handy on the cart when I cookout. Now we can grill hamburgers at the grilling station while enjoying our smokeless fire pit and patio lights at night. If you have any DIY backyard projects you'd like me to try let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Great video, love your wicked chanel. I made a cart like this a couple of years ago with the same 57” grill. The wood started to burn and smoke after the 2nd grill session. After that i replaced the burnt wood parts and enlarged the hole to 60” and had L-brackets holding the grill. Still it burnt. I baught a Genesis 2 gas grill after that 🤣 a fix is to make a 57” concrete ring and put the grill on that instead of directly om wood. Greetings from Sweden

As usual, awesome job! Love that your daughter's get to help you. When I was about ten years old I hounded my dad (bricklayer) who was laying brick on our house to help him. I begged him to let me just lay one brick. Of course he was in a hurry to get the job done as he wasn't getting paid to brick our own house, so he kept saying 'in a little while' until I finally decided it wasn't going to happen and I left. That was back in 1960. Later as an adult I told him if he had only let me help, who knows I might have become a bricklayer and we could have gotten lots of jobs due to me being a female, lol. I never really held it against him, although I did tease him a lot about it. But, I'm glad to see you are not only letting your daughters help, but you are instructing them in the right way. Good dad!!!

Table grill cart addition Metal fixed plate caster wheels. Instead of them for wheeling the cart around, angle them for the Weber to sit on so you can spin the grill instead of doing Yoga over the flame trying to flip some burgers. I've never seen anyone do it and I don't mean to toot my own horn but it sounds like pretty good idea.

I picked up a 5/8" x 36" axle rod and some washers and two collars to keep the tires from coming off. These collars have an Allen set screw to tighten them down to keep the tires on, did not have to drill. I got all this from Tractor Supply. I Love when your Daughter Mugs 😁 it up for the Camera. I used my axle and wheels for a new wheel borrow that I brought. I also had to cut my axle down and put on little axle caps. Make sure you grease your bearings and axles on the wheels. Also get the kids some safety glasses. 👀 Keep your eyes 👀 safe. Great video.

First off, you (and your family) are so much fun to watch. On top of that, the projects are always clever. The manual well pump (which I need) was my favorite…and then you did this!
Such a great idea! I can’t tell you how many of those grills I’ve bought, only watch the legs succumb to the humidity (it’s a beast in the Panhandle) after one summer. So I end up with a bunch of legless grills. I finally started supporting them with blocks in the fire pit, but I really like this solution much better. 😁❤️
