This a great video for beginner mechanics tbh. I’m not saying you’re a beginner btw, I’m trying to say you explain things in a way where everyone can understand the basics. Not a lot of people are like that!

I appreciate. I’m not an actual auto mechanic so I just explain it how it is. I read and research enough to think I’m doing it right. Sometimes I’m corrected on here and I’m always open to it

The lifters have to go back on the same lobes on the cam. If they aren’t you will wipe the cam out.

unless they all gap check within specs right?

They establish a wear pattern specifically to the cam lobe. The spin on the lifters is determined by the wear pattern. If they are scattered on the floor, I would recommend a replacement cam and new lifters. A flat tappet Melling replacement cam and lifters kit is pretty inexpensive being a hydraulic. These days Comp Cam sells a replacement hydraulic roller cam and lifters that you’ll never have to worry about going flat. You might want to contact them to see what they say.

Every time you make a comment about how much easier it would be with two people my heart breaks 😢😢
