*What do you think I should do? I have to do something! 💬*
Build your own reef tank: geni.us/NanoReefTanks

You should take down the 40 gallon comepletely and re build it and re-arange the rocks and make half the aquarium a reef with many corals like soft corals, hard corals, gorgonian corals and should make the other half a lagoon with Mangroves, Macro algae, Clams, and maybe some soft corals or gorgonians on the lagoon side aswell, some fish and inverts that you find around lagoons would make the look even better, The look of half the aquarium being reef and fading into a lagoon would look so cool and unique, i promise you that this idea would definetly be an attention grabber 😁😮😮🐠🐡
That sounds really cool!! 🤩
@@DannysAquariumsdefinitely do that idea
Keep/frag what you like and start it over with fresh rock. Only use the corals you want and give them plenty of space to grow out ;) love the vids and seeing how the tanks progress.
The corals are looking amazing!!!! Very colorful!
That is a hard decision to make. Not sure what I would do. Without paying attention to detail and just enjoying the tank for what it is, the tank looks great. Good luck my friend. 🙏💯🔥✌️
Can’t wait for the 6 gal
Very excited about it! I think it’ll look great 🙌
Succes!
Your problem is succes, just take controle, it is a great tank. Niet opgeven!
Hi there ! I think that the white spot in your red montipora it is the KH buffer. I could see from the current that the amount of dose went right in it. It´s burnning your montipora. The tank still wonderfull ! Congrats. Best regards from Rio de Janeiro. PS_ I do have three diferent tanks, each one with corals of their one kind. (softs, LPS and SPS ) Much easy to keep them separeted .
I think so too now! I need to find a way to prevent that from happening.
I would have a frag sale. Sell the corals youre planning to remove from the 40. Offer a competitive price and move them quickly. Move around some of your corals...into the open spaces created.
and we're back!
You totally need to move those mushrooms
get a grow light for your monstera it could look magnificent
Upgrade to 1 Big tank or maybe Keep the “new” small and upgrade the 3 that are setup to 1 Big Aquarium.
Just so you get more space + new video Series 😊
That's the plan! Big 3 meter long shallow reef tank, low tech 😏😉
@@DannysAquariumsooooh that is going to be incredible 😊
A update on the mini tank please
The 40oz tank from PNW Custom? Unfortunately I took it down right before I went on multiple trips. It's a fun setup, but didn't want to burden the housekeeper with maintaining it while we're gone haha.
Great video! I also keep a simple nano reef with no filtration, just an internal filter for flow. It does mean I can put in some filter floss after a water change for a few hours to clear the water. Do you do anything similar to keep your water crystal clear? 😁🐟
I would like to see you recreate a new simple reef and shallow tank may bigger or just with Lps project
My tanks without skimmer are running much better than those I had with skimmer. Never face any nutrien issue with too much of them. It was and is always too less
Same problem here! Always 0 nitrates and phosphates haha, so I had to add some fish and in the other tanks dose some no3 and po4.
Exosphere zoanthids are incredible
I love those! I saw them at Aquashella, amazing!
Great video i think you should sell a good amount of frags start a build series and that should get a lot of views 😂😂
Thank god you can make a living from this tho. Reefing like you is a full time job lol
The tips on my toadstools polyps don’t open what should I do?
Just take your time and start taking out anything you don’t want first, then anything touching I bet there would be a lot of people wanting frags. Get some money, it will buy you time to figure out what you want to do. But things won’t be dying and leading to more problems. Bottom line don’t avoid it
Yeah, I think this will be my best option. Just start taking out certain corals and figure things out along the way. Thank you!! 🙌
When I got bored of the beginner corals in my first tank I basically started a new tank and moved them there. I call it my junk tank.
Yeah, I get that! That’s what I did with my soft coral tank haha. Now I need to find room for the rest of the beginner corals 😂
I do think a complete overhaul is necessary.
Also what do you do when you add corals? I got some crazy looking organisms from random peoples coral frags. Green algae, crazy looking bug things, scary skinny star fish. I just want 2 clowns and a aneome in a 5 gallon tank. Not sure If im ready to dedicate the time to change water and filters lol
I was here yo!
👀
Hi Danny, your tanks are looking good👌🏻 Hopefully all the corals will recover soon. What camera and filter are you using?
iPhone 15 Pro Max, no filter lenses on it. I change the setting of my lights for filming, less blue more white. :)
@@DannysAquariums allright thanx! I make my videos with an Iphone 13 but your quality looks amazing compared to mine haha
Make sure you have your camera settings set to 4K 60 frames. Also make sure there is enough light in the room/area you’re filming, most of the time that’s the biggest problem. Turn off flow as well, the movement of the water makes it look pixelated. And don’t use digital zoom. ;)
@@DannysAquariums kijk top! Hier heb ik wat aan. Thanx man💪🏻 your channel is an example for me, so thanx for the tips!
do you have a dosing video on your 40gal? what you dose and how often?
I don’t have a video on that, but I can make one for sure! :)
I think your monti is getting irritated by your dosing. The particles seem to be landing on the monti from what is seen in the video. The alk should be looking cloudy not big chunks of particles in the water. This seems to happen with brs soda ash in my case. I had to put flow in the direction the alk being dosed to make the cloudy rather than chunks. I’d get rid of all the palys, the are a headache and overrated
Oh yes! You’re right, that’s what causing that! Hmm, I need to do something about that! :)
Second
Awesome 😎 Thanks for being so early!
The real question is, where do you get your furniture 🤔
This is my favorite style🎉🎉🎉
