As noob, appreciate how you guys explained what every tool is. Many videos just briefly go throught it or don’t even go through it at all. It is intimidating. The first component to anything, is understanding why we need it
This was so fun and it’s been a blast going to Nima’s store these past few weeks. The saltwater game is so freaking sweet. So, glad I started one. Thank you Nima & Fritz!
Nice tour of Nima’s store. I’ve been there a couple times and he has a nice variety of corals & dry goods. I’ve seen Jimmy on several videos with Aquarium co-op which he did a great job and I’m happy to see him switch over to the salt water side. Glad you gave Jimmy some good advice Shawn.
Really interesting you say that your frozen food is better in terms of nutrients to the tank than the dried. I’ve always been told that if you can get them on to dried, it’s packed with goodness and much better for the tank as a whole, with all the frozen ‘juice’ which melts and gets dispersed into the water system, rising your phosphates etc.
He is totally right. You could totally buy the tank stand and return pump. Next buy your rock and sand. Once you have that bought. Drop a piece of shrimp in the tank to start the cycle. It buys you a month to 2 months to get the rest of the equipment before the cycle is even done.
Yes! I was hoping to see a video about Jimmy's new aquarium. And now I really want to visit Nima's store. Looking forward to an update on how the tank is turning out. The big question is...who was behind the camera??😂
Your video is incredibly informative and inspiring! Do you offer one-on-one consulting to help beginners like me start a saltwater aquarium? I’m very interested in learning from you and would love to get your advice on setting up and maintaining a thriving marine environment. Thanks for sharing your expertise

I’m about to start a salt water aquarium. Trying to get 120 gallon. Gonna need an all in one set cuz the sump and everything seems too confusing. Thanks for this video!
Is there a coral equivalent to duckweed?? Something very hardy and forgiving? Been in freshwater for 7yrs, but thinking of trying a 20gal saltwater tank.
I set mine up for $60 today. $18 2 gal brand new reef tank pump and lamp off eBay( this was what made this possible). $18 live sand, $15 bacteria. $8 for 4 gallons of precycled seawater from the shop. $59 total Letting it cycle as it's all cloudy right now. Setup is small enough that the fluorescent light will get me up to temp in a day or 2. Gonna go get 3 or r soft corals when the water clears. Dope ass marine setup from scratch under $100. Soft coral frags are $10 a pop at my local shop. I'm no expert, it's my first time doing marine and I could fail real bad, but it can be done cheap... ish xD. Oh yea another $20 for a 5w tank heater and salinity meter
*Can I have an itemized list of items I will need? Are there any places I can get rimless tanks for cheap?* thank you! I want to dump 1k on it(not necessarily including fish). Would pay for setup2
I am sorry that we weren’t able to make it more relevant to the UK. I promise we have some UK videos from our trip to the Vitalis facility. We want to make the channel fun and educational and insure we are hearing more about the content you would see 😎

It’s awesome. I’m glad he suggested it! - Jimmy

Fritz Dark Water is an amazing product❤ Nice tank bro!
I’m about to start a salt water aquarium. Trying to get 120 gallon. Gonna need an all in one set cuz the sump and everything seems too confusing. Thanks for this video!
All in ones are great tanks! Sumps definitely add complexity and are 1000000% NOT REQUIRED to have a beautiful reef tank!

Pulsing Xenia has been blooming for me. Super hardy and grows way too fast. - Jimmy
Kenya tree, finger leather, toadstool leather, green star polyps, mushrooms, xenia, would be good choices.
Im going to buy exactly what you did for simplicity, kind of wish a buildlist was in the bio👍
I’ll put one in there! -Shawn
Yall are hilarious😂
lol Shane’s a hoot 🦉 - Jimmy

There is alot to learn for sure. What are you confused on most?
