3 years ago today my heart was broken when you left this earth for a better place. My heart still aches, for I will always love and miss you my sweet Jani Lane. My Angel.
You'll always be my hero Jani. This song was "our song" for my daughter's dad and me. We always would slow dance to it, and it would always come on the radio when we were together. It makes me still think of him, and to this day, it still touches me as much as it did then. So sad that the world has lost you. I have been playing the video of this song on my "my space" page for many years and will still continue to do it in honor of you. I feel like a part of my life has been lost today. Luv u!
Even the bands who were not at the top of the elite list in the 80s. Sound better and made WAY better music than the CRAP on the radio today. But i aint telling you nothing new. I remember as a teen in the late 80's there were TONS of bands that had a few hits but did not get SUPER POPULAR like some of the giants. I wasn't so much into them as the top bands. But now i go back and listen to them and realize how great they were.
Eustass, music today is crap. In fact most of the popular music today will fade in popularity in no more than a year. Meanwhile kids these days still appreciate 80's to 90's songs. They still get moved by the emotional, when they listen to these old songs. Do you know that most hit songs nowadays are written by just 2 people --Max Martin and Dr. Luke using the same old, tired CAGE chord progression? Yes, if you string together most songs today, they will fit together perfectly into one song because they are all just CAGE songs. There is even a video of people joining several songs together and they sound just like one song. There is no diversity in music anymore. In the past, bands and composers use their creativity to come up with nice progressions, now thats gone. Maybe you should learn a little music theory so you wont make ignorant remarks. The sad thing is that Kids today have been feed crappy music growing up so they think modern music is good just because they have not heard good music.
I love the way Jani moved his body with the music, his powerful spiritual voice and his sweet luscious eyes. I can't stop myself from watching every video of him but I'm also feeling really upset that I can't get to know more about him except from those flickering clips. I hate the fact that I know Warrant too late. I'm a 17-year-old girl from Hong Kong, my parents and friends don't know them and they would not understand why I'm so blue. It's like losing an old friend. I wish I could know what it's like to be a fan of Warrant in the 80s, what was Jani like? Can any stars be compared to him so that I can imagine how lucky would I be if I was born back then?
Doctor Detroit I'm so glad I finally get to know a bit more about Jani and what hair metal's like back then, thanks to you:) You're very lucky to have met him, and not only once. But I bet being a faithful fan like you must be much much more devastated than I do. I'm sorry. It's really sad that people abandoned this genre of music so quickly when they're the ones who made it popular. Perhaps this what rock was about, looking good, living fast and dying young. Rock stars needed to stay energetic and sober while living side by side with alcohol and drugs, it's like they never needed to rest. People said they love the music but what they truly admire was their inhuman "cool" lifestyle. It's unfair for rock stars like Jani when all they passionated about was to play music. They brought to the world with great songs, lyrics that can truly touch your heart, but what people did in return was pushing them away. I'm not sure and I'm not interested in knowing what Jani was going through during those sunken days and how did all that lead to what happened. The beautiful music he brought to us is the only thing I will cherish and admire him for forever. And thanks for the music advice, I know who Bret Michaels is, he's great and I hope one day I'll get to meet him:)
He was and is Greatness. A true Frontman. What a great singer and songwriter. He played everything and wrote everything. This band was and will always be JANI LANE.
I'm 15 and I am sincerely breathtaken by Jani...I fell in love with his music after learning about him in my history of rock n roll class. I couldn't believe i was the only student in that class that continues to listen and learn about these amazing rock stars outside of school..its a shame what has become of today. I would do anything to go back to the 80's and appreciate REAL music like this! R.I.P Jani!!

I wish Jani Lane was still alive!!!!! He was such an awesome singer and performer!!!! I never got to see him in concert or anything, just thankful to be able to see him on you tube. Thank you to everyone who shares his performances!!!! It's beautiful. His old band mates in Warrant should really play this song back and listen to the word's Jani sings when he sung, " I got no where left to go and no one really cares". Maybe Jani felt like they didn't care about him as a person, only as a job, a paycheck.....I don't know. I do know alcoholism is a disease and I don't think anyone wishes to be one. I also don't want to seem like I'm talking down on the Warrant band member's either. I don't know them or their thoughts. I do wish they'd have manned up and went to his funeral though since it would have been the honorable way to behave. They could've done it for his family, at the time, for his young daughter. I'm not judging, just my own personal thoughts.
I got to say this no pun intended but I love the way he moves and the sparkle in his eyes I love love how he's more animated as opposed to other artists I love how he uses hand gestures and all that stuff while he's singing it's great he just has such a great personality about him. R. I. P💕
I’ve been watching and listening to concerts live in person, on tv, VHS, dvd, bluray, cd, you name it, for the past 40 years. The band here is excellent but that vocal performance has to be the top 5 best I have ever listened to. Tremendous talent lost
Amazing, Jani Lane we miss you so much! Now your up in heaven. Thank you for this music and songs. Jani truly loved his fans and never ever wanted to let them down. Heru Arthena Yes 'he is so missed. His voice could sing any song he covered big hit of others and sounded better than original singer. I guess it's true Stars burn bright but burn out a lost faster. Jani and Warrant were my favorite band. As Soon as I heard the Down boys and Heaven I was hooked.

I remember as a teen in the late 80's there were TONS of bands that had a few hits but did not get SUPER POPULAR like some of the giants. I wasn't so much into them as the top bands. But now i go back and listen to them and realize how great they were.
I'd rather listen to this than the crappy music we have today
agree !
Right on ... going to see warrant August 11 at Indiana state fair can’t wait
you know Jani Lane died? They have a new singer, who is good- but he isn't this good. He's more metal sounding than soulful
Popular music died for me after 1992 for the most part.
YEP
I think you mean 1997 (autotune released)
Do you BEELIEEVE IN LOOOVE...
Crashbanksbuysilver The downfall started with Nirvana. With them, everything went all commercial, corporate, and lame.
@@evilpagan2342 actually, the reverse happened, but I get what you mean!
What a great human being....R.I.P. You left a skidmark on rock n roll as we know it! Miss you.
God I miss the 80s too
He was and is Greatness. A true Frontman. What a great singer and songwriter. He played everything and wrote everything. This band was and will always be JANI LANE.
Excellent post
Rick G @ Rick G. Yeah, me too. Man, life was better then.
I love him. God rest his soul. A beautiful voice singing about heaven and God. Love you Jani
one of the greatest ballads of all time
I'm 15 and I am sincerely breathtaken by Jani...I fell in love with his music after learning about him in my history of rock n roll class. I couldn't believe i was the only student in that class that continues to listen and learn about these amazing rock stars outside of school..its a shame what has become of today. I would do anything to go back to the 80's and appreciate REAL music like this! R.I.P Jani!!
Jani was amazing, great voice, excellent band performance!!!
Hes flat as a fart
I had such a beautiful and vivid dream last week with Jani.....his face was beaming with radiant sweetness and he welcomed me to Heaven. It was so real and has been sitting with me all this past week. He looked so beautiful and angelic. ♥️🙏💕

This is one singer/songwriter i absolutely adored , followed his music for so many years and still love listening to him, wish he had never passed, will always be listening Jani
Jani's got a black eye. A band-aid on, but frikken hell, he could sing. That was the time for real music. RIP Jani.
That vocal at the end was DAM ! good for live ,no autotune there, some of it sound too good to be true
+christopher dunn It's interesting to look back and see who had real talent. These guys did for sure.
Una de las pocas bandas que así como lo escuchaste en tu cassette lo escuchas en vivo: lo mejor.
Wow.after all these years his Beautiful voice and songs still get to me.
Far and few between can sound this good live.
LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU.FOREVER.
JANI Lane
R.I.P
So young and georgeous ! Beautifull song by 80' s Hard Rock. 👏👏👏 😍
Gorgeous!!!
We all need a guardian/Friend to help keep this from happening, a comment after someone's passing looking back His daughter is beautiful RIP JL.....
All I can say is damn these guys were a serious force to be reckoned with and Jani was spot on with those awesome vocals. Amazing.
Everytime i watch this, damn... can't help but cry! I love jani. He was such a great singer and a composer. Truly incomparable! Keep singing in heaven, jani. 😭😭😭
Happy 52nd birthday Jani! ♡
80s music is my life. It is an honour, as a kid grew up listened to these musics. Still listening...then...now forever
Música que acompañó bellos momentos de mi vida....un gran grupo, gran voz....los bellos recuerdos construyen un maravilloso futuro.
I got to say this no pun intended but I love the way he moves and the sparkle in his eyes
I love love how he's more animated as opposed to other artists I love how he uses hand gestures and all that stuff while he's singing it's great he just has such a great personality about him. R. I. P💕
I’ve been watching and listening to concerts live in person, on tv, VHS, dvd, bluray, cd, you name it, for the past 40 years. The band here is excellent but that vocal performance has to be the top 5 best I have ever listened to. Tremendous talent lost
Jani Layne is one of the key underrated songwriters of all time. Amazing frontman. Gone way too soon. We miss u brother.
I met him and had pictures with him.great guy with a great voice.music like this is not made anymore.
Amazing, Jani Lane we miss you so much! Now your up in heaven. Thank you for this music and songs. Jani truly loved his fans and never ever wanted to let them down. This is Sad and its another Depression case. Depression can hit anyone rich and famous to homeless and penny less. I wish that Jani would have had more time with his children.
+Howard Mauran We miss you Jani Lane!
My absolute favorite heaven performance of all time. Man Jani you had such pipes. We miss you sweetie ❤
