Actually the kiss was by far not of the worst part of the episode, in my tip worst moments I am not sure if it even made the list.
Hitting a mountain with trebuchet to generate a rock slide that happens to perfectly bloch a river the size of the Nile(!!) and no water spills over this impromptu dam has to be one of the most insane things I ever watchen in a TV series. Second would be 500 horses doing a full charge and perfectly stopp within 20 yards 3 feet in front of the enemy line. Also love that oil in this show is basicall napalm
Historical dramas combine characters, introduce new ones, put events out of order, introduce ahistorical events or omit historical events. "Lore" changes in a portrayal of an Age that is only described in chronicle form are expected and it's pointless to point out each one. But the central image of the tale of the Rings-in the Council of Elrond, in the Appendices, in the Silmarillion treatment-is the moment when Sauron forged the ring, put it on his finger, and spoke the Black Speech couplet that all remember, and at that moment, Celebrimbor realized he was betrayed, and the Three were taken off and hidden. In the Rings of Power version, the forging of the One Ring will be an anticlimax. "Oh, he forged a Master Ring? Well, that's annoying."
Elves are not humans, they act and think differently than men. But this show made an effort to present them as some kind of modern office co-workers.
The part of the episode that really took me out of it was that scene between Celebrimbor and Sauron where Sauron talked about being tortured by Morgoth and how he eventually saw it as a game and found pleasure in it since it proved that he had the stronger will. It was just really weird and it does not make sense that Morgoth would torture his servants because then why would they be loyal to him? Towards the end they also used heavy CGI on Adar's face that looked strange and was unnecessary. Overall, just a super lore breaking episode.
I must say. The thumbnail is very appropriate. That's exactly how I feel about this show.

A-Dull's whole deal is that he wants to protect the orcs because he loves them very-very much.
He betrays SaurBro because he was mean to them when he lead them. (Except S2E01 shows that he never lead them and couldn't do any of that).
He then holds an orcs hand into the sun for it to immediately burn in S1 for no reason. Because if you love your kids, you randomly torture them.
Then he loves them again.
Then he smiles at the troll who gives him his child's head.
Then he loves them again.
Then he send them to die in Eregion and even sends in the troll even though he knows he will kill them.
Then he loves them again.
Yeah, fuck Adar!
I can't understand why people like "Nerd of Rings" make excuses and defend this show's lorebreaking and stupidity! No wonder there are so many channels against this thing. What a waste of talent and money.
I watch his breakdowns and I don't know if they all have but in the beginning of the last two he mentions a sponsor called Grubhub and mentions that "Amazon Prime members get Grubhub + for free", making me think he is sponsored by Amazon also.
“Melian of the Valar” they probably think Sauron is a valar also because the rings of power writers simply don’t give a shit about what Tolkien created
I don’t think they can legally say Maiar so they say “of the Valar” which doesn’t mean a Valar, technically just a round about way of saying Maiar without getting sued
They gotta stop having disa stick out her stanky leg.
So I love Metal Music...but why are they using it for the credits of Rings Of Power?
Cuz it's cool AF
@@travisspazz1624 But ROP isn't cool so...?
@@travisspazz1624 Cool? Sure...
Out of Place & Tone Deaf? Yes.
@@manoz6194 cool enough that we're all still watching. I'm enjoying it.
@@KirkWilliamsIsBroken orc metal is not out of place or tone deaf. It's fantasy, anything goes.
I want to see EP 8 to be Directed by STRAIGHT Asian men with STRAIGHT Latino men, STRAIGHT Black men, and STRAIGHT White men..... all STRAIGHT MEN to direct EP 8, and the entire season 3, season 4 and season 5! No more sexist ONLY FEMALE directors!!
I will miss your reaction to this series when it ends🤣😂😂this series is a complete meme
“Oh dear, now that I think I about it, I guess I didn’t have to cut my thumb off after all.” 🤔 😟
...people called this a 10/10 episode.
That's where we are.
For you to sit there and act like there's no legitimacy to "orc lives matter", especially when Adar cried? How DARE you, sir! Orc Lives Matter!
Yes, poor orcs starting an unprovokes offensive war against peaceful civilians, how dare you...wait
The Dwarves were at the battle of Eregion.
LOTR: Rings of Power in Multiverse 🤣 --- should have been the given name of this show.
leave the LOTR out and it would be a very accurate depiction 😄
Well, of course. Elrond has to get there so he can fail much harder than just arriving too late.
Annnnd, I made this comment before finishing the video...see? He failed harder by bringing the ring AND losing it AND losing the battle.
I don’t think they can legally say Maiar so they say “of the Valar” which doesn’t mean a Valar, technically just a round about way of saying Maiar without getting sued
That live scene was conceived at a certain baby-oil-fuelled party. Allegedly.
loooooooooooooool
It's getting close to Snow White and the huntsman
what an abject horror show. a complete disgrace
So orcs no longer burn in the sun?
Did you see the intro? Spliced together him cutting his hand then handing off mithril snuff back to back. I told ya man!! I told ya! (p.s. I haven't watched yer vid yet - just started ep 7 ...)
Rings of 🗑️
You are completely bashing Disa and as a women I should stand up for her but... I just can't. She is as insufferable, if not more, than this Galadriel. Why they wrote her this way, why she portrays it horribly, and why in interviews she seems happy with it is way beyond me. Scenes are cringe, her dialogue or monologue makes no sense, the delivery falls flat and her motives make no sense either. Girl bosses are horrible because guess what: bosses in general are horrible. They boss people around without sympathy or empathy or any human emotions and we as the people come together in bashing/rising up against them so why make recurring characters just like a boss?
If you want to write something good for women, make them girl leaders. Leaders is what we crave for in stories, not bosses. Oh, because guess what. Galadriel already was a leader in the books and movies, but this new generation of hollywood does not know that anymore.
also: why the hell would annatar put a mouse in a hallucination. an actual deceiver would've paid attention to these details. he made his blood look like mithril but does not realise a mouse or non-burning candles? or that the fire never goes out? or.... flipping mirrors. or that paper thin window that can apparantly shatter the sounds part his illusion (because the visuals kept going). They could've easily had a good illusion which then starts to crack as Celerimbor starts being an actual elf and use his brain and realize with logical, and not cartoonish, deduction what is going on. He then realizes Annatar is the maker of this misery, confronts him and then we would've built-up an epic fight scene between them. but noooo, galadriel had to be the one fighting him so this setup was reduced to him crying and all of the sudden being a pincushion. Did I miss the part where A took C down with the first few arrows or something? why do major events happen off-screen?
TL;DR: bleh.
Kissing cousins
Kissing mother-in-law.
Elrond to his wife Celebrían: wanna hear how I kissed your mother?
Fatty leg lol.
Ugh, lore purists.
Peasant.
The purpose of the kiss was to distract from Elrond passing his brooch to Galadrtial. It was nothing sexual or romantic.
Then why did he smooched her first and only after he handed the broche to her? Shouldn't he have handed it during the kiss?
@fairamir1 Which is basically what I said, genius. I didn't make a big deal out of it other than saying it was cringe AF. Try again.
I am so tired of people hating on this show. Yes it is not perfect This show is NOT LOTR. It is an ORIGINAL story. It does not have to follow Tolkeins lore and time lines. You need to watch it as if LOTR did not exist. If you saw this show and had never heard of the LOTR before you would not be so negative.
Then why the fuck didn't they made an original show instead of slapping Tolkien's name on this abomination?! You either call it LOTR and respect Tolkien's lore or you make your original show and do whatever you want with it. You don't get to call it LOTR, then proceed to shit all over Tolkien's lore and then be pissed that Tolkien's fans hate it. That's not how it works with this fandom.
@fairamir1 I need to watch this as though Lord of the Rings doesn't exist? Are you freaking serious? You basically said watch this and don't think about Tolkien's works. My god, you have to be one of the dumbest motherfuckers yet to cry over people shitting on this disaster of a show.
Maybe don’t call the show “Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power”. Lol. They obviously wanted this show to be as popular as the Jackson movies and that’s obvious by all the repurposed dialogue and scenes. This show is not original nor are its creators creative.
ROP is for the jelly brains. Proven yet again.
The chain was too thick to cut.
@fairamir1 Evidence? Or just your brain dead conclusion based upon huffing the farts of this show?
Too thick to cut.. which is why he tried pounding on it with a mallet? C'mon... you gotta be kidding. Nobody this dumb.
celebrdumborn cutting of his thumb was so hilarious was on the floor laughing, almost pissed myself, gr8 commentary
His grandfather would've bludgeoned him with a Silmaril at birth if he knew he'll turn out this stupid...
If you hate this show so much why do you watch it every week ?
@fairamir1 It's called REVIEWING. I know it's probably hard for you to think, but try collecting a thought and think logically that I have a right to review something and say it's shit, especially for an audience that looks forward to my reviews.
