K.A.R.R. is one of the most likable villains ever. Corrupt yet charming he really steals the show! This is such a part of my childhood and thank you for uploading this!
I agree with KARR was cool Peter Cullen did a great job voicing KARR but Paul Frees put that slick and evil personality to he stole the show best times in my childhood
I have a deep respect for the way they filmed KARR jumping into the semi. It's a perfect montage using stock footage of the underside of the car as it jumps, then miniature models of KARR and the semi colliding, then a stunt car driving through the "door" on the studio set with some inside footage of the old Hero car (with it's dashboard all lit up) spliced in for good measure. It really sold the illusion. Kudos to director Winrich Kolbe and whoever edited that sequence. Even today it still holds up... and this was before the age of CGI!
The metallic tone gives KARR more character, making him more threatening? Even the sound of his scanner and the color yellow, making KARR more sinister and ominous.
How did K.A.R.R got some improvement when he was defeated and presumed destroyed. An improvement of his systems and the change of voice and the different color of his scanner from Red to Yellow.
He's gotta be a politician. I was so convinced i wanted to steal car myself. And he caused the guy with the pacemaker to have a stroke using electromagnetic waves to short out the batteries in his pacemaker.. That K.A.R.R. is a monster. He can get you anytime and anyway he wants. He should've had his own horror movie trilogy with a high body count. He's just like the horror movie killer, he never dies, he just preserves himself.
I like the visual distinction. I also like that KARR's voice display looks kind of like teeth the way the lights on the sides come from the top and bottom towards the centre.
It´s 2021 and me too. And I´ll always remember that this episode and this evil Pontiac were my favorite of all Knight Rider series. I´m in my middle fourties and still love this KARR.
That would've been cool. However, in regard to each of their characters and personalities, the pairing would not have been entirely plausible. KARR is 110% entirely about his own self-preservation and interests. Because of that, KARR has extremely limited consideration, thought and awareness beyond his own immediate needs. Along with an extremely limited concept of loyalty, cooperation, following orders, accepting someone else's control over him, and completing tasks set to him by others with diligence, thoroughness and precision. It's for those reasons, why in truth, Garth Knight would refuse to use KARR. Garth would know that he could not trust or rely upon KARR. He would rightfully see KARR as a threat and liability, and not as an adequate subordinate or asset. Exactly the same reasons why FLAG refused to use KARR and replaced him with KITT. Equally, KARR would quickly realise that Garth is too confident, powerful, intelligent and capable a human, for KARR to successfully trick and manipulate towards achieving his own interests. KARR purposefully seeks out human partners, who are weak, easily led, persuaded and manipulated, and thus easily used to achieve his goals. Consequently, KARR would seek to avoid any association with Garth. The fact that KARR has extremely limited consideration, thought and awareness beyond his own immediate needs. Is why he is less intelligent, less sophisticated, and less wise and tactically aware than KITT. KARR limits his thinking, relies primarily on his physical brawn and conducts himself as a blunt instrument. Whereas KITT utilises all of his thinking, relies primarily upon his brain and conducts himself as a precision instrument.

Well, she *was* preparing the weekly, quick-fix, add-on gadget for KITT to defeat the enemy of the episode. That girl was over-worked when it came to new features!
Same here. I always loved how threatening the yellow scanner in the dark and even in the semi looked. KARR being in the semi that serviced KITT all those times is almost unthinkable yet it happened as amazing as that sounds.
@@simonriddick Yeah he does have that sinister tone in the voice acting he did for KARR. I'm mixed about that. KARR: You repair boats for four dollars an hour?
Karr is cooler then Kitt. Problem with Karr is not his evil. He is hurt. He felt abandoned. He was even loyal to john for saving him. Just john did't want to keep him. And again he felt abandoned. He even says it. If he had a driver to learn from like kitt did. He would have grown.
I was in my outside phase as a kid during this show. I caught a few but was more concerned about being an indian scout fur trapper mountain man in the middle of the South Georgia flatlands. So it's quite nostalgic regardless!
One little thing I laughed that was when John took his hand and put it near the scanner with the chasing light
Such a great episode. One of the best!!
2021 May....still we like to watch this series.....from 🇱🇰
