This was a good episode, but KITT vs KARR had "KARR" as a much more sinister character. In this one he sort of needed to be told certain obvious things. In KITT vs KARR he independently and naturally plotted some pretty horrifying acts.
I thought that it was very weird when those 2 bums tried to run away when they saw k.a.r.r and then some how those doors just magically closed on them, as if k.a.r.r had some kind of magical powers to do that.🤣🤣🤣
Wow this show was so bad but yet we loved it. In that clip alone we have robbers turning on the lights inside the place they are robbing. We have an electrical box that sparks for no reason. A car presumably worth millions and labelled as danger locked up with a hardware store padlock, despite having the ability to create a car with a supercomputer and impervious outer shell. Said car then has telekinetic powers that can open and close doors. And the whole scene taking place at 2:30 AM because that is the time anyone would choose to go clean out the place. What exactly was he suppose to do with all that equipment inside? Put it in the Trans Am? You could have actually written the scene as a silent alarm goes off and Devin gets Michael out of bed to investigate. That is at least a bit more plausible.
I was 9 years old when this episode first aired, and I remembered this scene vividly. Seeing only KARR’s scanner in the dark and hearing its sinister sound sent chills right down my spine.
_I really like this version of KARR more than the second one because it's much more like KITT, except for the yellow voice synthesizer, but it also keeps the red scanner._ 🥰
William Sanderson played Larry on "Newhart". He also had roles on TV shows "Deadwood" (2004-2006, 2019) and "True Blood" (2008-2010, 2012). William Sanderson is also best known for playing J.F. Sebastian in the awesome 1982 sci-fi film "Blade Runner".
KARR was explained enough. Because of bad programming KARR had a sense of self-preservation with no regard for human life. And he could not be re-programmed. So it was decided KARR was too dangerous to be used as KITT ultimately was, a tool for justice.
@@210SAi If you mean being self aware both KARR & KITT are. But KARR is more like Skynet in that he is self preserving and attacks humans when he feels threatened much like Skynet did when it launched the nukes.

Japan did get that nice PC Engine Knight Rider game that was never localized on the TurboGrafx-16 here. Thankfully the TG16/PCE Everdrive plays everything.
KARR was kind of like Garth Knight and KITT was kind of like Michael Knight they were both kind of like twins but different personalities one good and one evil.
As the technicians who worked in the laboratory were fully aware of the danger that KARR represented, it seems strange enough and even dangerous that it did not destroy it after having put it out of service !
KARR was to be dismantled, but with saving Michael Long and creating KITT all at once it was out of sight, out of mind. Plus Devon believed Wilton Knight had that done and it was over with.
Michael: KITT. We gotta get this guy to the hospital buddy. KITT: Michael that car. It could've been my twin. It was exactly like me. Michael: Not exactly. It almost killed me.
I just cant help but wonder why KARR was never destroyed at the end of his use by the foundation or had not been reprogrammed because they essentially wasted a lot on the vehicle
Can you show complete episodes of "Knight Rider" instead of segments of certain episodes? "Trust Doesn't Rust" and "KITT vs. KARR" were the two episodes where KITT battled his "evil twin."😃
William Sanderson is best known for the roles of J. F. Sebastian in Blade Runner (1982), Larry (who spoke on behalf of himself and his brothers; both named Daryl) on Newhart (1982-1990), E. B. Farnum on Deadwood (2004-2006, 2019), and Sheriff Bud Dearborne on True Blood (2008-2010, 2012).

Remove the battery? Cover the air intake? Remove all connections to the CPU? Scientist 2: Well, no. But I put up that sign over there, see? Scientist 1: Good job! That looks VERY official.
Anyone else imagine an 80's version of Supernatural with David Hasselhoff being cast in the Jenson Ackles role? No? Just me then? And before anyone asks, Patrick Swazyze is Sam.
For the longest time I got a bit of a Hasselhoff vibe from Dean and then that episode Changing Channels happened lol. I think Jensen Ackles as a Knight Rider driver would have worked well as long as the rest of the show was well done. Given how Supernatural had the '67 Impala, I could easily have seen a KR show with Ackles going back to the '82-'91 model Trans Am as its choice of car for KITT. And the fans would love it.
@@BrotherDerrick3X I think that would happen eventually but they would definitely be united in their hatred of their enemies to a degree as well. Depending on how far Garth pushed KARR (like is KARR felt his life was in jeopardy) would determine how fast the fallout would happen. If Garth picked up KARR's cpu after the events of KITT vs. KARR, he would've definitely had a chance to have KARR reprogrammed unlike FLAG was able to do before since KARR had no way of attacking him with his body destroyed. Before, it was probably deemed too dangerous to even try with the way KARR could easily run anyone over and run amok as soon as he felt threatened. They probably had to lure him into a false sense of security just to deactivate him. Maybe it was possible for them to reprogram KARR after he was deactivated, but the time needed to go through all the code of his AI to make the changes was not available, as Wilton Knight needed to make a move with his FLAG project because of Tanya Walker, Fred Wilson and their cohorts were getting closer to stealing the prototype designs they almost stole in Knight of the Phoenix. We know Ken Franklin was Michael Knight's intended predecessor, but I think he died before KARR was deemed dangerous and certainly before they had a chance to enlist him. But considering KITT was built within 6 months, which was before Michael Long as shot by Tanya, I think Devon even said he was rushed to stop Tanya & also because Wilton knew his time was almost over with his disease.

David hasselhoff had a NY autdition and was told about the show knight rider he told his dad about the TV series and his dad said...i think you should go to NY ...of course the Hoff didn't listen..the rest is history
the voice actors who played KARR also played Optimus and Starscream on Transformers Peter Cullen and Paul Frees.
Peter Cullen also reprises this role in the late 2000s Knight Rider reboot. I never watched any of those, though. KITT was a Mustang, booooo!
Starscream is Chris Latta
Paul Frees didn't do Starscream's voice but he did do a lot of voice acting for Disney films & other cartoons throughout his life. He has a very recognizable voice. There were so many things I watched where I had a feeling it was him only to confirm later on imdb after looking it up.
in my book i liked peter cullen's voice 4 karr it was way more menacing the way karr was supposed to be.also sounds like a totally pissed off optimus prime who has had enough of megatron and his dimwits
@@shinigami146 They should have kept the Original KITT, that 3rd Gen Boird *Still* Looks Futuristic!
Who else prefers KARR, I mean it’s much more entertaining to be a badass, i guess I was a messed up kid as I also wanted my own Terminator 😂
Like a cyborg version of your older self coming back and killing you as a kid? Yeah...I'd definitely say you have some issues. But therapy 45 years late is better than never :)
@@jaybeebee9288 tried it, didnt work, i still want my own Terminator 😂
This was a good episode, but KITT vs KARR had "KARR" as a much more sinister character. In this one he sort of needed to be told certain obvious things. In KITT vs KARR he independently and naturally plotted some pretty horrifying acts.
It's true, in the second episode it made me angry to see how KARR tried to suffocate that blonde girl. 😡
1:33 when he talks to the car it sounds like a blooper. it sounds like he isn't taking the show seriously.
KITT??
NO!!
I Do Not Wish To Go Back To The Slammer!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣I PMSL when he said this
KITT....." WHEN YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND, COMPANIONSHIP DOES NOT COMPUTE" LOL LOL................. LOVE IT. :-) :-) :-)

That guy made a million dollars saying that.

I love Knight Rider.
I thought that it was very weird when those 2 bums tried to run away when they saw k.a.r.r and then some how those doors just magically closed on them, as if k.a.r.r had some kind of magical powers to do that.🤣🤣🤣
Even kitt loves to sleep at night .
Before Peter became OPTIMUS PRIME he was KARR!!!!!!!!!!
i love karr's scanner and it's voice.
Stephen King's 1958 Plymouth Fury Christine was Karrs aunt, grandma or his ancestor
3:52 oo now that is eerie
even has the sound from the car 1977 to
I was 9 years old when this episode first aired, and I remembered this scene vividly. Seeing only KARR’s scanner in the dark and hearing its sinister sound sent chills right down my spine.
_I really like this version of KARR more than the second one because it's much more like KITT, except for the yellow voice synthesizer, but it also keeps the red scanner._ 🥰
I preferred the second KARR with its yellow lights and more menacing voice.
Same vehicle dumbass...
KITT FINDS OUT IT'S GOT A BROTHER.😂😂😂
Is rev larry (i.e. "hi, I'm Larry, this is my brother darryl, and this is my other brother darryl.") from newheart?
Lol... Yes, I remember Rev from Newhart. He was always introducing themselves like that. Sounded silly.
I recognize his voice from Batman the animated series....
I love that show, the ending of the last episode was hilarious!
KARR was never truly explained. It s like Okay lets do an episode with a car that looks like KITT but does bad things!
KARR was explained enough. Because of bad programming KARR had a sense of self-preservation with no regard for human life. And he could not be re-programmed. So it was decided KARR was too dangerous to be used as KITT ultimately was, a tool for justice.
KAO S so KARR was the original SKYNET?
@@210SAi If you mean being self aware both KARR & KITT are. But KARR is more like Skynet in that he is self preserving and attacks humans when he feels threatened much like Skynet did when it launched the nukes.
I love this show!
How did Michael dodge KARR in jeans that tight?
lol
He is imaginary father of Starlord
The Scanner was so loud, that you didn't hear them "RIP" as he jumped outta the way! LOL!!
lol
Michael was wearing "Jeans of the future".
"Hi. I'm Larry.....this is my brother K.I.T.T. and this is my other brother K.A.R.R."
Data driving KITT vs Lore driving KARR.
In this episode "Trust Doesn't Rust" KARR is exactly look like KITT 🚗🚘
Yep. Same 5 cars used for KITT were used for KARR. Hero/RHD car, High Traction Backup Hero car, Jump, GP Stunt, and Fliver.
Michael's shirt changes from red to blue? Ok.
You'll find more clothing errors in the episode 'The Nineteenth Hole'. I'm guessing either the shoot occurred over multiple days or David got sweaty during shooting and just changed clothes and they hoped no one would notice.
I used to watch this show when I was a kid
Let’s see KITT has a evil twin witch is KARR
and Herbie had he’s evil twin years later witch would be Horace the hate bug
If KARR and Horace would team up
It would be a deadly alliance
And KITT and Herbie would have to team up to stop them.
I always wondered why Garth Knight never got a hold of KARR and went after Michael Knight KITT
Mark Cadieux he did in the knight rider video games
Mark Cadieux KARR’s programming would have left Garthe high & dry at the first sign of trouble. But still it may have been good enough for an episode.
have Garthe team up with the Juggernaut
Garthe and the Juggernaut vs Michael and KITT
best part? KARR was voiced by peter cullen, BEFORE he did optimus prime!
This series was aiso televised in Japan.
lrecoded it in avideo and watched it
many times, so l remenber Japanese words.
Japan did get that nice PC Engine Knight Rider game that was never localized on the TurboGrafx-16 here. Thankfully the TG16/PCE Everdrive plays everything.
KARR was kind of like Garth Knight and KITT was kind of like Michael Knight they were both kind of like twins but different personalities one good and one evil.
futuristic AI car but the museum was opened with two taps from a crowbar
The first time Kitt got scared. His fear is Karr
Larry had a bad feeling about this without his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl
To quote Captain America, "I get that reference!"
Same
First rule of;
KITT is to protect it's driver
KARR is to protect itself
Michael: KITT. We gotta get this guy to the hospital buddy.
KITT: Michael that car. It could've been my twin. It was exactly like me.
Michael: Not exactly. It almost killed me.
Michael That KARR Not Car
@ElineHerlina I know that his name is KARR but that's not what KITT said.
Kitt and Karr, the Twins Brothers.
I just cant help but wonder why KARR was never destroyed at the end of his use by the foundation or had not been reprogrammed because they essentially wasted a lot on the vehicle
The book Trust Doesn’t Rust goes into a lot more detail about why KARR wasn’t reprogrammed or dismantled.
@@darthflyer oh

"Tell you what K.I.T.T. ... instead of driving me right up to the door of the warehouse, let me out 100 yards away. it's a nice night out."
“Come on KITT, let’s check it out, huh?”
“Michael, I have a strange feeling about this”
“What are you talking about, you don’t have feelings”
“I know, that’s what’s strange about it”
Optimus Prime himself.
Can you show complete episodes of "Knight Rider" instead of segments of certain episodes? "Trust Doesn't Rust" and "KITT vs. KARR" were the two episodes where KITT battled his "evil twin."😃
He’d probably get copyright stricken for doing that
@@cj.59 Isn't this the KR Official channel meaning they should own the copyright? They'd probably rather people purchase them on the DVDs anyway.
Go to the Knight Rider Historians channel on RUclips. It has everything you need to know about the episodes.
Lol one the most dangerous things things is woken up 2 drunks with a crowbar breaking in and flipping a switch, great place to keep KAAR in a broken down poorly guarded warehouse. I just love 80’s shows they were the best.
Kitts scanner sounds like oh oh oh oh
I am the Knight Automated Roving Robot, KARR if you prefer, I am the Prototype car of the future 🤣
Ah, I see, a super dangerous autonomous vehicle essentially guarded by one small padlock.
Scientist 1: This dangerous prototype CANNOT be brought online for any reason.
Scientist 2: Already took care of that.
Scientist 1: What did you do? Drain the fuel and cap the fuel lines? Remove the battery? Cover the air intake? Remove all connections to the CPU?
Scientist 2: Well, no. But I put up that sign over there, see?
Scientist 1: Good job! That looks VERY official.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

初めて、KARRを見た時は、本当に驚き👀‼️ましたまさかそんなKITTの他にももう一台のナイト2000がいるなんてと思いました。

KARR: peekaboo!
Garthe Knight would drive KARR for his life like Michael with KITT.
Garthe and KARR would fight each other as much as they would fight Michael and KITT.
NICE👍👍👍
Really like Garth with KARR vs Michael and KITT.
KARR with Black and Grey with yellow scanner was voiced by Paul Frees.
KITT sounds like it has a GE turbine engine under the hood with that high pitched scream as it cruises at 40 MPH.
