Again he could've taken the control and turn a 180 degree maneuver to avoid from the rocket... Ok ok ok, I know these episodes left our memory for long years. The show wouldn't be excited without these traumatic shocks. :) I love them but everytime I watch those, I'm still thinking all of these. :))
I would love for someone to have picked up the CPU of KARR from the desert and got him reactivated somehow, then combined him with Goliath. THAT would have been an epic story. They kinda left things open by showing the blinking CPU behind the front grill.
You have to understand why KARR became what he is. He was created first, abandoned, and left to survive on his own, then to see number 2 get all the cool upgrades, a driver, and a personal mechanic. Anyone would've gone mad too.
Oh man, I still remember the one where KITT got dropped into the acid. That moment literally scarred my 4-year-old psyche. As far as I was concerned, KITT was just as much a 'person' as any human, and the idea of him getting dissolved was traumatizing.
he did say "I'm sorry Michael" a few times for example in the plane of the "sky knight" episode So what could Michael do here? I was thinking he could've said to hit turbo boost but the rocket fuel for that function may have reacted with the waste and that would be even worse
I seem to remember all of these destructions happened in the season finale, then we got a "new and improved" KITT for the next season with upgraded gadgets every time he got rebuilt. KITT also got some minor cosmetic changes, especially the front bumper, I always thought this was to keep up with the current model Firebird/Trans-am.
KITT was always a supercar to me, seeing him hurt or damaged and i never understood how or why... But it broke my heart every time 😢 Still does, i love my KITT ❤
Nice Editing skills, KITT was damaged 3 times, acid john Destroyes KITT, so much that Michael had to call devon and get him to call the original team Wilton Knight assembled and have them design everything from the ground up
Love how KITT's "Knight of the Juggernaut" destruction is the only one done with actual vehicles without any miniatures. Though miniatures do still appear at other points in the episode.
JOHN 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
In the first couple of episodes or so, Michael referred to KITT as an "it". By the time of "Junkyard Dog", seeing KITT about to be dropped into an acid pond had him just as torn up as if it had been Devon or Bonnie (or April).
Love the episodes as they are, though I still think KITT being dumped in the acid pit could've marked the demise of his old dash. His old dash disintegrating as it sunk in the acid would've had a far more emotional (though traumatising) impact than a missile shot up his exhaust. Especially after being associated with the dash in Seasons-1-2. Almost like the loss of a character. Then restoring KITT and introducing the new dash would've felt like introducing a new character. Would've made an awesome 2-hour episode. Much more realistic than KITT being destroyed and then restored with the exact same dash. And then carrying on the status quo like his acid trip never happened.

You have to understand why KARR became what he is. He was created first, abandoned, and left to survive on his own, then to see number 2 get all the cool upgrades, a driver, and a personal mechanic. Anyone would've gone mad too.
They did such a good job establishing KITT's indestructibility that the first time he got destroyed, it really threw me--that was some good TV. :D
I always wanted to see garth knight and Karr to team up against Michael and Kitt that seemed like the logical next step
and fake Devon join forces too
So... despite of all his high tech gadgets, KITT is absolutely helpless when he's scooped up?
Oh man, I still remember the one where KITT got dropped into the acid. That moment literally scarred my 4-year-old psyche. As far as I was concerned, KITT was just as much a 'person' as any human, and the idea of him getting dissolved was traumatizing.
I felt that way too.
Which do you think was the worst one? I’m thinking junkyard dog, but juggernaut is a close second
LOL!!! What an era we ve lived in!!! That 80s technology seems funny today! 🤣
When you least expect it, it will happen one way or another and it is tough to watch Kitt getting damaged in more ways than one.
When Michael needed help, when did KITT ever say "I can't buddy"?
he did say "I'm sorry Michael" a few times for example in the plane of the "sky knight" episode
So what could Michael do here? I was thinking he could've said to hit turbo boost but the rocket fuel for that function may have reacted with the waste and that would be even worse
That's actually a fair point 😂
I seem to remember all of these destructions happened in the season finale, then we got a "new and improved" KITT for the next season with upgraded gadgets every time he got rebuilt.
KITT also got some minor cosmetic changes, especially the front bumper, I always thought this was to keep up with the current model Firebird/Trans-am.
Missed the one where KITT gets knocked over the side of a mountain and rolls over with Michael inside and taking some damage.
He wasn't destroyed though was he? He just took a bit of impact damage.
Technically it's 5 times, you forgot to add the most emotional one of all, when KITT is flooded underwater in KR2000
All of these situations helped Mr. Feeney toughen up to be a school principal and turned Michael Knight into Mitch Buchanan later on in the 90s
don’t worry guys KITT got a life time warranty lol
What I've always wanted to know is after KITT was dropped in the acid pit, who went in to attach the chains to pull him out? :P
Lmao good question
@@charlesfindish9488 Someone had some really thick plot armor on
1:07 I’ll never forget that stock explosion sound effect they use in every single episode.
Knight of the drones was BEFORE Junkyard dog
KITT was always a supercar to me, seeing him hurt or damaged and i never understood how or why... But it broke my heart every time 😢 Still does, i love my KITT ❤
I remember on a Universal Studios tour in 1985, around the corner was an auto carrying semi truck with 6 or 8 Kitts on the trailer.😊
Pobre Kitt.Exelente auto y exelente capítulo 🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨
Think I was the only one hoping Airwolf would show up to save K.I.T.T.😂😂😂80s dream crossovers.
I remember as a kid so depressed when kitt got dropped n the acid it was by far the worst for me almost tragic 🤣
Nice Editing skills, KITT was damaged 3 times, acid john Destroyes KITT, so much that Michael had to call devon and get him to call the original team Wilton Knight assembled and have them design everything from the ground up
Said it as a kid back n 85'. The best script should've been Garth returning n Karr as the ultimate revenge
always loved the tire screeching on gravel and sand.
The Acid Pit Hurt So Deeply. KITT Loses His Molecular Bonded Shell. Brutal. Still An Awesome Machine😊.
This always brings me to tears 😢
09:02 I remember I cried when KITT realized can't avoid the misil and he prefered to save Michael with those words: "sorry, pal. Forgive me". 😢
Junkyard dog was gut wrenching to watch.
It's still heartbreaking seeing kitt get hurt man and I'm in my 40s
I was devastated as a child when CAR vs KITT and KITT was damaged.
Love how KITT's "Knight of the Juggernaut" destruction is the only one done with actual vehicles without any miniatures. Though miniatures do still appear at other points in the episode.
Knight rider is my very favorite telidrama .it is vey nice and jolly......
pushing a clutch in changing gears in the peterbilt, full 80s
The first time Kitt was destroyed was like when the Undertaker lost the streak. We were all devistated.
JOHN 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
Amen 🙏
That has nothing to do with this video. You want to spout that garbage then do it church
I would recreate the acid pit scene in my goldfish pond at home.
Criminal that they never paired Garth up with KARR.
The acid one I do remember watching
Reliving repeated childhood trauma 🤣🤣😂🤣
I wouldn't consider KITT getting bashed by Goliath as being destroyed. KITT is badly damaged by the collision, but he's still in one piece.
I would like to see Garth, Goliath and K.A.R.R. make a return someday. How cool would that be?
No Brasil... era a SUPER MÁQUINA... passava as quintas feiras na Record... Maravilhosos anos 80... bons tempos... De Jundiaí SP Brasil...
As a kid it’d
Always make me sad everytime Kitt got crashed or destroyed
I think what I've learned after watching this, Michael isn't too bright.
In the first couple of episodes or so, Michael referred to KITT as an "it". By the time of "Junkyard Dog", seeing KITT about to be dropped into an acid pond had him just as torn up as if it had been Devon or Bonnie (or April).
Man, I hope one day they remaster the series in 4k.
KITT: _Our plot armor is gone Michael. Save yourself!_
Michael: _Not a chance, pal! It's my show!_
