Did I just get Rick Rolled from a 1 year old video from the other side of the planet?! 😅😅
I got Rick rolled from the other side of the planet too lol
This was extremely enjoyable to watch. Excellent job!
Thank you
I didn’t know you went to Hogwarts. But you’re a proper wizard
WOW Phil for the Amount of work you put into the channel to give us all great content your subs should be 500K + this Indoor course is awesome and will be fun to see many un favorable crawlers 1:18 & 1:24 and even the mini Z type compared to each other from higher end to the cheaper sort cant wait for this segment , thanks Phil 🙂
Check out Hydroponic Clay Pebbles (they come in all shapes looking like rocks or boulders),also you could mix the sand with plasterers plaster for a good type of building aggregate and you could also add cement dye to it for different colours..hope that helps..the Hydro pebbles are what you are thinking of tho I'm sure.
Ah, now _this_ is my cup of tea! And coffee. And whisky. And more whisky.
Already looking fantastic! I can't wait to see how you progress.
Thanks for showing the build process. I've seen a few of these on a FB group and I couldn't quite wrap my brain around how to accomplish the transition from a pile of boxes and shipping material to a plastered course. Inspired me to work on my own course. Cheers!
Very well done so far there Phil, looks absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see more 👌
Cheers Adam
It's a very good course. It's interesting to follow the trials and tribulations. I think it will save a lot of time instead of driving somewhere to test the mini crawlers.
I used spray truck bed liner on the smooth surfaces before painting and it created an awesome texture. Just enough grip and it looks pretty natural too.
I have a local auto parts store that has rubberized rocker guard..that works too. You can also buy textured paint that "looks" like granite.....another good source.
I have a left over can of that stuff and pulled it out with the plasti-dip that was used to waterproof some electronics. Good idea!
Awesome little crawler trail there Phil .
Loved watching the build process , shows with a bit of imagination what you can do .
LOOKING GREAT Phil. I like the seasons idea. You done a great job SIR 🇬🇧👍🏼
Thanks Mike… I thought it was a good idea.. and good to look at as well
Wow, you have great dexterity. I want to try making it too.❤😁👏👍👍👍
Dude that looks epic, love the 4 seasons goin on, good old British weather 4 seasons in one day lol all u need is a fan to make wind and u r on the a good old summer day at Mablethorpe ha ha ha
I am driving 1:32 and 1:35 scale micro crawlers from Orlando Hunter and was able to build a micro coarse with sizes 125 x 75 cm with dozens of obstacles . So , fun on a table is really possible ;-)
Outstanding, super cool course you built love it. Appreciate your sharing I’ll be watching more
Be nice to have something like this for consistent testing. Kind of like a top gear track
Yes, that’s the plan. Get some gates in… and a stop watch
Once again, wish I was in the UK, I run a wood shop and have all kinds of offcuts that are perfect for building crawler courses. When I was building mine I dug through the recycling bin for big chunks of styro that I could carve.
Building it might be more fun than driving on it. Not to say that driving won't be fun, but the building looked like a blast!
looks great, suggestion along with Coffee Beans, is used dry Coffee grounds also mixed in, You used to be able to get big bag of them from Costa Coffee for free to grow veg & such in the garden.
sweet crawler track bro cant wait to build mine soon
Great job 👏
Built my own stackable crawler course from tumble dryer and washing machine packaging. Great job on yr course 👏
That’s awesome great job man 👍👍🪵🪨🌲
Same type of approach that I have in mind, arts and crafts from school can pay off for a creative, customized course 😀
Yes lol
Tomley, that's a classic with the expanding foam .I did the same, then sat down looked at it.laughed at my efforts and thought, that reminds me of a film called the Blob.It came from outer space.✌️🤡
Awesome Phil. That Soudal foam I use at work here in Sydney and it works a treat. Definitely think unit cold did It in there.. Also core flute is awesome for cutting, shaping, bending etc..
Been looking forward to this.
Good job so far, looking forward to an invite to come test it ! ☺️
so far so good, not too hard but not too easy either! i was very overwhelmed with my course build but i'm happy with it, unfortunatly my trx4m makes quick work of it but the 24 scale stuff is a bit harder
Well done bud that looks awesome, looking forward to seeing how the different trucks do on this 👍
That brown foam bit looked like some fresh baked brownies
That's awesome, Phil! I can't wait to see it done and in use!
I’m looking forward to it as well
We're having a ball making ours, too! Well done, governor.
Gonna be awesome when it’s finished! I’d like to see a crawler shootout when it’s all said and done 😁 fcx vs trx4m vs scx24 vs that blue and white rig vs…. You get the idea
Thats awesome great job!🔥💯 going to be nice to use when you can't get outside on nasty days.
Yes progress! Sounds like awesome
hahaha loved the saltbae move!!!
The borders between the two sides of the table will make a nice spot for some background murals
That looks absolutely fabulous Tomley, great job.
Thank you
Great work, looking pretty good. It should be called the Cirque de Phil or something. Looking forward to seeing some crawlers tested on it.
Thats AWESOME !!! GOOOOD JOB !!!! 🤩
This looks like a heap of fun
It is 👌
That’s a good looking indoor course, thanks for sharing 😊
Never understood the whole crawling thing, but thats epic mate! Makes me want one now!
It’s certainly fun once you get in to it a bit 👌
So cool .. thank for the great ideas
This is magnificent 😊
Coming out really good 👍🏼
Looks epic bud great work indeed 👍🏼
Yeah we’ll see you next time, I love it summer into winter that is super cool. Great job on the course I’ll be following have to see the rest until then peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍😎
Nice job, great looking
great job! Looks awsome! :D
the Bean Pit! I love it
😎👌
Coming along nicely fella
Cool rc crawler track!!! 🎉
Looks excellent 👌
Watched the whole video, phil. I love it!!!!
This looks great man. Lots of work and trial and error in this. My only question is will you have a jump ramp into the bean pit? 😁 I've been meaning to build my 24th scale course for months now. I bought a trio of steel cabinets for my garage that came packed / protected in 1"/25mm thick cardboard sheets. I was going to take a jigsaw to them to make terrain shapes like a topography map and cover that with some burlap or that plaster mesh. Hoping any finished product to be portable for easy storage or use. Convenience and quick access is the best way to make use of something like that if it can't be left set up (at least in my opinion).
Looks like a brownie more then wet mud lol. Looks great Phil
awesome build!!
Looks wicked Phil! I like the idea of traveling through the seasons! That campfire was a nice touch as well. Are you serious about the coffee beans? I hope it’s old coffee beans , otherwise that considered coffee bean abuse Phil! Can’t have that !😂☕️
Sooo amazing I can't wait for part 2 🥰
I’ve got some good plans 👌
@TomleyRC your amazing Phil! I love all your videos, I wish I could head back to England to meet you and see my family I suppose haha but for you OF COURSE haha
I wanted to get in there with a stipple brush in the Autumn area to drop some Canadian Maple leaves on the ground.
Oh… we need some Maple leaves for sure!
When I was a nipper we used old bed sheets or curtains and plaster to mould scenes for railways. Much cheaper than bandage type ready made rolls of stuff and very easy to work with. Either way awesome track.
That sounds like a good little ‘hack’…. I’m not sure kids are as creative nowadays
@@TomleyRC I guess we had no choice back then. Necessity is the mother of invention as they say. I follow your stuff and enjoy the modern and the old school/vintage equally. If it's not broke don't fix it is fine but if it's not broke but it can be better .. well bring it on. You are doing great and making quite a name for yourself. Keep on keeping on and never be afraid to go outside the lines.
That’s a really cool idea with the plaster wrap I think that’s what it is called
GREAT BUILD MATE NICE ONE
LOL I love the wizard that's the dude you got a damn good job buddy
Damn you flexing that Honcho.
If you want to see the ultimate crawler course, I built it. Come on over!
Very good job !
Thank you
Just remember what my old boss used to say: "Perfection is the enemy of Good"
...if we had just been able to produce the "Good", we would have come out ahead ~
good part one some good ideas
Holy smoke, this is great.
Nice,I'm looking to build a basement course for my 1/24 crawlers, got some epic ideas,we'll see what comes of it :)
Good work man 😊
Cheers dude
Nice job! Cheers
13:15........ You telling me that doesn't look like cake to go along with the "coffee bean pit" haha
Making me hungry!
Great stuff. But man I can’t imagine the cost of all the crafting materials!!! Very cool results tho and can not wait to see the comparison of different crawlers on this! 👍👍👍
A great way to fill in the gaps and holes in the plaster sheets is to rub some watered down drywall mud over the top.
Hola Mr Tomley como estas , quedo muy bueno el circuito , voy a tratar de hacer uno igual aunque no tenga un auto para probarlo , saludos y gracias por compartir
Amazing work, Phil! 😃
It really turned out fantastic!!!
I need to find some space here for something like that... 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love it!
note for people using expanding foam: buy the "big gap" stuff....it goes much further......stuff I used you squirt something the size of a cherry and it grew to the size of a tennis ball.
Great job that mini crawler table Phil in time it will get bigger 😂👊👍🥃
Awesome idea
Amazing as usual 😜
Thanks dude
Niiice!!! I want that! 😛
Man that's alot of hrs of work! 😳🤯👊👌
Use cement and water for a runny mixture and soak old fabric (shirts, towels, pants) in it, bash the boxes corners in too with a hammer 🤣
Really cool.
I'm interested in starting this hobby that's why I'm here 😂😂
Ive been building mine for about 7 months. Just slowly changing it. It went from 4 feet long to about 15 feet long and 6 wide🤣 lots of spray foam (20 cans) and lots of tiny scale stuff and tunnels!
Haha… building is all part of the fun!
@@TomleyRC absolutely it never ends!
Sweet!
Tomley try taking the springs off of you shocks and should perform better or cut them in half it puts some of the weight down low
This is why i love you.
Brilliant
Awesome! I whish I had the space for something this big. I just got mini boards to build. I did find bags of kindling wood from aldi for like £1.99. blody perfect ofr mini crawler course construction.
that is so beautiful!
better than the one in redfin models from kevs vids
It's a process....soon as you think you're done, you will want to add or change it up......another tip: hot melt glue gun.....for that area that you sprayed all the foam underneath the mountain, some vertical pieces of cardboard would support that whole thing.
Cool AF Phil 😎 👌
Rick Rolled.... you bastard. Lol
😂😂
