Best video I've seen on this! Modular pieces like this is exactly what I need to pull out and use in the living room. I don't want a whole table like the other videos. Thank you 👍
Your narrative style and your choice in background music has given me major PBS vibes. Do not fret though. It was not meant as a disparaging comment. Quite the opposite. It’s a compliment of the highest order. I grew up watching PBS and this video was oddly nostalgic.
Finally another guy who doesn't just go buy cans of expanding foam, plaster cloth and spray paint. Why buy what is available free? My advice is don't build on a base so you get a 2 sided obstacle. For surfacing and colour I use diluted white glue, and sifted collected soils and sand from outside. Also a bag of concrete powder. I use washes of acrylic activist paint to colour the surface, soils and saw dust. Very realistic and durable. The secret is variation in the colours. Too many guys just apply one ir two solid colours.
@davideades4839 Hey Thanks for checking out my video. I'd like to try out some other building techniques too. I just used what I had. I didn't want to spend too much on building materials as I already spent all my money on new RC trucks.
Really good job brother! I just bought the Ascent 18 I'm thinking doing the same thing just for playing around in my apartment! Thanks for the tutorial really appreciate the time you took to make this!
I am glad i saw this video before i want out and got Expanding foam and plaster of Paris - i totally did not think about using paper mache - i have worked with it before - Duh..!! so much easier and cheaper. It may take longer to dry - i am in no rush. going to try this this first, with old boxes, plastic bottle.
That’s what I did when I got my first crawler made my own little crawler course outta anything I found laying around boxes styrofoam some small rocks wood lol better than spending $200 bucks on those courses they make
Hey mate you know its very similiar to do the same for a 3D background for your fishtank! styro foam, aquarium proof seal & paint, looks awesome as a tank back ground!
That is cool, iv seen some cool background builds for aquariums. Unfortunately my aquarium has been on the back burner since spring. Iv been debating on getting rid of it or possibly switching to salt water.
Thanks for the video, i built one using expanding foam and plaster rolls...Prefer this much more. Will be building with my daughter thanks for the video!
You would spend less than you did using recycled materials and dry materials you collect from outside. You do buy glue and paint, cheap in quantity, but the free dry materials on their own can provide most of the colour as well as traction.

Hey thanks, That's exactly what I had in mind when I thought of building these.

Thanks, maybe it was the Mr Roger's like intro I did. Lol
Wow I like this technology, very interesting and the result is nice! I clicked to follow your channel ;)
Hey Thanks, I'm not sure how technological paper mache is but I think it turned out well.

It takes more work but after its painted it looks so much better then the expanding foam. In my opinion. Thanks for checking out my video.

I think these look better then the ones they sell too, I might have 5 bucks into building these so much more cost effective. Just takes a bit of time.
Awesome video! Great choice of music too! This is definitely my weekend project!
Hey thanks, Enjoy your weekend project. I hope it turns out well for you.
Great tutorial ,Music was absolutely unbearable, technique was amazing😂 price was the cherry on top! Thank you!
Hahaha some people liked the music lol The RUclips audio library doesn't give you a lot to work with. Thanks for checking out my video though.
I like the detail you put into painting the rocks. I just made something similar on my channel but added a post apocalyptic theme to it.
Nice I will have to check it out.
The music is fitting :)
Good work!
@@crawlingpnw_rc Thank you
Your method looks better than mine. I’ve been using plaster mesh and it doesn’t look near as good as yours. Thanks for the video.
@ciborg86 Hey thanks for checking out my video, The paper mache takes a while doing all the layers, but I think it looks a little better too.
Great diy project and choice of music 👍
@martintrj5620 Hey thanks for checking it out, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Hotglue will melt the foam. We used pur-foam, it sticks very well and you can make very easly rocks and mountains of that.
Cheers man, me and my kids started to build a track. Very informative video. U gained a subscriber.
Hey thanks for checking out my channel, Hope you and your kids have fun building and crawling on your track.😀
