Im going into my second year with the Montec Doom jacket and pants. I ride at Revelstoke BC, Canada. Temps range from 0°c at the base to -15°c at the summit..most times!! I havent ridden in the gear in temps below -15. But i dont ride when its 20 below anyway! I layer with a micro fleece base layer and use the vents to remove moisture when im riding and close vents when im on the lift. For the price point i was impressed. I know this brand catches alot of flak. But im happy with how they perform at the resort. Would i wear them for back country..probably not, id stick to my arcteryx gear for that. If youre on a budget for gear so that you can ride more, drink more and eat more poutine at the lodge, then this is worth the value. Good review sir. Thanks
I just used this beb here in Argentina, I found it really good, comfortable, and great quality overall. I felt the same about the weird thing you mentioned but never bothered me riding.
I have the montec Fawk bib in red. Used it in mammoth with heavy winds. Wind chill was pretty bad and the wind cut through. Used it for a couple of hours and had to use something else. It’s ok in spring conditions, but I wouldn’t use it in deep snow conditions or cold windy days. Hopefully your experience means they improved their product. Thanks for the review👍
Thanks for your take and hope it did too. I will say that it would have been hard to tell if I didn't compare it to Gore-Tex and Gore-Tex Pro outerwear same day.
@@thegoodridesnow 15k would still be good? I have a 10k, but my butt is wet after a hotter day when snow is melting and I am sitting down a lot. (for bindings, waiting for friends, etc) Should I spend a 100 bucks more and get Gore tex pants?
I can't imagine actually using a poop flap. I'd be too worried I'd get poop on the poop flap!!! This is too funny. Great review, though, thanks! I hear so many people putting down Montec and Dope Snow, but it seems like the people who actually use the gear, like it.
Great video. Loved that you put your waist dimensions, super helpful for picking out my size
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your review!
How would you compare it to the Volcom Roan Bib?
I don’t which one to get between the two
I think the Roan Bib is a little better bib and matches up better for snowboarders.

Does it work well with snowboarders as well?
Yeah. pretty close to snowboarder bibs. I would go with Dope though if you snowboard.
I got a pair from last year and their good Bibs but are on the heavy side though...
Thanks for your take.
