Sir, I often use some of your recipes in combination with mine. As an Indian who doesn’t live in metropolitan I cannot get all the ingredients and sometimes I adjust them according to my accustomed taste buds. You have enlightened me, as earlier I thought these dishes are primarily for meat eaters. I am a pure vegetarian. Anyways, thank you. You are a very good chef and a very good teacher.
Happy to hear you are enjoying and making it your own 🙌🏻👨🏻🍳 Part of the fun in cooking is playing around with the recipe and using what you have on hand. Keep well and happy cooking
Oh, this brought back beautiful memories of my food loaded visit to Malaysia. Great to have a suggestion for a vegan version. This recipe is so creative. 💚
This was absolutely delicious! The both is divine and is perfect for whatever veggies/noodles you have on hand. My husband is ethnically Chinese, although from Vietnam. He emigrated to Sugar Land, Texas and is a meat and potatoes guy whose indulgent mother never made him eat his veggies. We have been eating plant based for almost a year now and am so excited to have found your channel! My husband has never had a tofu puff and loved them. It's nice to have a channel dedicated to providing plant based Asian recipes. Thanks so much!
I can't think of any dish where there is only one way of making it. That's what makes cooking so much fun! Love the idea of using a melon baller for tofu, I'm definitely going to have some fun with that. Also, thanks for introducing so many different kinds of noodles on your channel - there are so many options, but I'm never sure how to use all of them, so I appreciate that!
I love your calming voice and your spectacular recipes. I live near several Asian grocery stores -- I have seen so many wheat based noodles and I gave up trying to find other types of noodles. Thankfully you have shown me what to look for since I didn't know about those rice noodles that you used in this video. Thank you!
Looks scrumptious, Wil! CONGRATS ON 600K SUBS! All I’m missing are the tofu puffs. I for one would love to learn how to make them sometime! Enjoy your Sunday up there 👆! 😎
Fingers crossed he replies with some helpful tips! I have tried using cornflour and oil batters and deep frying but personally have had most success using an air fryer as otherwise I struggle to get it to crisp up and stay fluffy on the inside.
The sauteing of aubergine and broccoli is almost hypnotic. I had the overwhelming urge to jump out of bed and make laksa right this instance (😄 it's 10pm). Definitely trying your version of laksa this week! Thank you for sharing your recipe.
I've been looking for a vegan Singapore Laska soup for ages similar to one I used to eat in a restaurant. I made this one and it was delicious. I added a little tomato purée and used the vegetables I had (broccoli, cauliflower, sweetcorn) and vermicelli as I didn't have any rice noodles. Thank you.
I’ve never used the puffs before thank you for showing how to use them I’ve pass them before and cook with them and I believe yours are for sure better than my try. I’ll check you soup next week just came home from my weekly market. Thanks for a wonderful new treat.
The way you instruct the cooking process is so calming. You can see the love, effort and passion that you put in making the dishes… Great work, I’m excited to see more.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I'm a Chinese American who studied abroad in Singapore a while ago, before I went plant-based. I still have dreams about all the different hawker centers my friends and I would go to on the weekends, standing in line for chicken rice, char kway teow, laksa, and freshly squeezed juice after those brief afternoon storms. Out of all the foods I miss laksa the most and have rarely found it on menus here in the states, let alone a plant-based version. Can't wait to try this - maybe I'll crank my heat up and put on a tank top and flip flops to really take me back haha
Beautiful,Beautiful Video!!!!!! This recipe looks fantastic!!!!! I Love the way you appreciate your soup!!!!! And your incredible presentation!!!!!!! Thank You for such a super great video!!!!!& recipe!!!!
God knows that I am not vegan but, ever since I haved discovered your channel I end up cooking one of your recipes three times a week. I can't give up meat but I do buy meat from my local butcher and I more or less watch my meat grow. So for breakfast I will have this as I seem to always have all ingredients and I don't eat bread so yeah me.
I agree. I could eat Laksa or Vietnamese Phô everyday! I would also add some Fish sauce. Sometimes at restaurants I have to ask for a side plate of bean sprouts, sprigs of Cilantro, and fish sauce to put in the basic bowl of noodles with either a meat or seafood broth. I love making my own mix of flavors on the spot...simply amazing!
My mouth is watering!!!! I miss laksa because no one in town makes it vegan (usually contains some form of meat stock with shrimp paste and fish oil). And I’ve never made it because when I’ve read recipes, it has looked incredibly challenging. But after watching this, it’s really not at all. Thank you!!!!!
I used to think that laksa would need a complex blend of specialty spices, but was delighted to see that you used ingredients that I already have at home! This is a sign that I need to make it this week ;)
This video is art to me. The amazing, sweet music, the slow pictures of the healthy food and your nice, calm voice. I want a bowl of the Laksa right now. Will come back to the video to enjoy it again🙏🏻
I personally love meat but your food looks so appealing. If they taste half as good as they look, I wouldn't mind switching out a couple of my meals for these every week. Some ingredients may be hard for me to get where I live but I'll have to check Amazon.
Its time for me to buy your books. Thanks for some extraordinary, outstanding high quality (and relaxing!) videos on how to prepare delicious meals. Greetings from a big fan in Denmark 🙂
I love when you talk about your creations with excitement and passion! Congratulations on 401!!! Your novelty tofu shape reminds me of how I prep my vegan Shatsuka. I do the sauce per directions. Then I cut out a 3" (depending on what drinking glass I use as a cutter) round from a 1" slab of firm silken tofu. Then I scoop out a round in the middle of that and fill that with my favorite yellow mustard. Viola, my vegan sunny side up egg which goes into the tomato mixture and cooks. Fun and tasty, too!
So happy I found you on UTube! It’s so educational & fun watching you cook & I have made several of your recipes! I went PB about a year ago & your recipes are absolutely amazing! Thank you!
Wow....Ho liao, what an interesting & inspiring recipe for me to cook today! Definitely will be added into our recipe lists, Thank you for sharing...😘😋
I LOVE your recipes I have made several of them, they are so easy, delicious and healthy. And like one of your commentators said, your videos inspire tranquility and peace. God bless you for all the work you do and sharing your knowledge with others 🙏🏻♥️
Looks so yummy 😋. I will make it and add shrimp and maybe lightly fry the tofu and use Thai fish sauce instead. What do you think? I so enjoy listening to you cook, your voice is so calm and gentle. Looking forward for more of your cooking videos. Thank you
What a lovely take on my very favorite soup recipe! Few things I do to make it slightly lower in calories: Use coconut cream from the can of coconut milk to sauté, use a whole lot more crunchy veggies which allows me to reduce the quantity of noodles, dry bake the tofu cubes to allow the pores to open and absorb the broth, make my own laksa paste. I also often replace the rice noodles with zero carb shiratake- not an exact replacement but allows me to enjoy my soup without killing my diet.
Coconut 🥥anything 😋 thanks Wil for all the effort you put into your videos with full descriptions you are truly committed to your craft 😀😎💯♥️ thank you 🙏
I was making a grocery list jus now to make your spicy ramen and chili oil tonight and saw this new vid lol no clue what Laksa was but you had me at 3:44 I’m so excited to learn more from your books. Thank you!
I LOVE Laksa.....reminds me of the Laksa at Orchard Road, Singapore. Its the best Laksa I have ever eaten. Since then I have craved Laksa many times. Couldn't compare it to Singaporean Laksa, until now. I am definitely going to try your recipe in a bit. I have red curry paste, and broccoli & all other ingredients, except eggplant. I plan to use some red cabbage instead. Can't wait... Thanks for the yummmmy recipe! :)
LAY HO LAY HO ☺️ wow, this video is actually our 401st video on this channel! So amazing having us cook together for so many dishes 🥳🍜
love your stuff. thank you will.
Thanks for your efforts 👌 💙💛
Bought your cook book for a vegan friend for Xmas. She loves it! I'm going to get my copy soon!
Xie xie Will...Big thanks for all you've done and your future recipes! Greets from Portugal :)
Well Deserved! Here's to another 400 or more videos! 🥂
Wil, not only do your recipes look so appealing but the calm energy in which you instruct us is lovely.
Exactly…
I couldn’t agree more. It’s like a ASMR video to calm yourself
I absolutely love how you show recipes for 1 or two people at the most☺️

I agree 🌻
Listen I think I’m going to challenge myself to a month of Asian style Vegan dinners. This looks so good!
When you first poured the coconut milk in with the curry … the colors are mesmerizing. And the finished product is gorgeous.
we forget the beauty of not only creating and eating, but of watching the food transformations
@@helenswan705 I am a jewelry maker, so color and texture appeal to me in all things in my living life.
Oh, this brought back beautiful memories of my food loaded visit to Malaysia. Great to have a suggestion for a vegan version. This recipe is so creative. 💚
For those who don't like cilantro: thai basil is often a good substitute
Thank you for that.
Thanks for that tip.
Fresh mint is more fragrant. In Malaysia, some of us use this and bring you to a new world of fragrance.
That sounds dope
😋

Was gonna say the same thing. Anyone that thinks there’s only one way to make something is pretty close minded
Then one should use a different noun, not laksa. You appear to support theft.
I love your calming voice and your spectacular recipes.

The way of expression is very delicate and gentle, the sound is very harmonious. Thank you for the high quality culinary videos.
Remind me when I use to live in Singapore many moons ago I used to eat laksa in Tanglin road. Now I have to make myself, cause I live in Canada
Your youtube videos are really helping me when i'm stressed - seriously so relaxing to watch - thank you and the food looks amazing!

Fingers crossed he replies with some helpful tips! I have tried using cornflour and oil batters and deep frying but personally have had most success using an air fryer as otherwise I struggle to get it to crisp up and stay fluffy on the inside.
I’ve bought them at my local Asian grocery store!
I think most people buy them. But FYI if you buy them frozen, you want to blanch them & then rinse to get off the old oil or they'll taste nasty
@@chrysanthemum8233 well that explains it!! Thanks!!
