Yup - but Myles also plays lead and rhythm guitars and writes half the songs! They have 3/4 former Creed members, but are far more complex musically- especially after their first album which this was from - and I just can’t get enough!
@@RB-oc7tithank you. Calling the 3/4 Creed doesn't do justice to what they are. Anyone who throws the phrase "butt-rock" around where AB is concerned loses all credibility in my eyes.
Edge's return after retiring because of his neck at the 2020 Royal Rumble is one of my all-time favorite wrestling moments. The crowd's reaction, and the emotion on his face, made me emotional watching at home. I would have loved to have been there live. I must have rewatched the clip a few dozen times and I am going to watch it again right now.
They sound BETTER live. Good example is listening to the studio version of Words Darker Than Their Wings and comparing it to the live version from Royal Albert Hall.
EDGE loves Alter Bridge too because he has chosen another entrance song for himself by Alter Bridge and it's called 'The Other Side' give that a try too.
Simply the best rock band of the 21st Century! Fabulous songs performed by amazing musicians. Seven studio albums, including a fabulous live album at the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra.
Myles Kennedy (the singer here) has a side project going on, too, called Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators with my favorite song by them being "Anastasia" featuring Slash from Guns N Roses!
Words darker than their wings . Live royal Albert hall . Great alter bridge Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators. Anastasia live from Sydney.. great stuff
Alter Bridge is way heavier than you think. Mark Tremonti is a guitar God. Blackbird was melodic and beatiful but they have plenty of songs where they tear the roof off. Go deeper and listen to more stuff. You won’t regret it.
When alter bridge was born they didn’t have to worry about radio or timelines with creating albums because 3/4 members were already decently wealthy from creed, so they basically had artistic freedom to do anything they wanted. That coupled with the fact that the lead guitarist is a metalhead and the lead singer is a blues/jazz enthusiast meant that the quality and complexity of the songs jumped several notches. Reacting to the discography of Alter Bridge would not only be enjoyable for you, but is decently popular on RUclips for reactors. Have fun gentlemen 🎉
This is definitely Edge theme song. Iconic. “You think you know me.” You guys should do more WWE theme songs or videos. Sincerely, a fellow wrestling mark.
You guys are correct in your assumptions! Mark Tremonti (lead guitarist) was greatly influenced by Metallica, but also by Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, etc. Myles Kennedy (lead vocalist) was influenced by Led Zeppelin for guitar and singing, as well as David Bowie, Steely Dan, and Jeff Buckley, among others. Such opposites but these guys make it work! With that said, you MUST react to Alter Bridge's live performance of their song The End Is Here at Royal Albert Hall with the Parallax Orchestra. It will blow your mind! The original album version showcases Myles' vocal range and Mark's heavier guitar style. But with the orchestra added it just sounds phenomenal. A must watch! Please react!! Thanks 🙌
Man I love AB so much!!! they don´t have one weak song... Mrk Tremonti on Guitars and some times voice, Myles voice, averything in this band is amazing!! You should cover some other AB songs... Keep up the good work guys!!
The band in question is the Chris Warren Band, if I recall correctly, usually called The DX Band. The singer also did the vocals on the two versions of "My Time" that Triple H used before the Motörhead song. They did the anthem and "America the Beautiful" at the same WrestleMania and were booed out of the building. The performance was edited off the DVD.
Speaking of METAL, it would be great if you guys got into some more JINJER. Their instrumentation is phenomenal! Not to mention the singer's vocal control. I suggest a song called SIT, STAY, ROLL OVER. It's an earlier song from them, I think they even had a different drummer than the current line-up, if I'm not mistaken.
Something off of Pawns and Kings, their latest album and an album that's fire. You could literally pick any song from that album and have a winner. There are 4 video singles released from Pawns and Kings on RUclips. I'd pick 1 of those 4 videos and expect a hit.
I love that Adam Copeland got to keep the song when he went to AEW. The only change is the 'sting' changes from You Think You Know Me to You Think You Know Him. One of the best entrance musics ever that isn't only a wresting theme.
On Edge’s entrance they basically cut it up using the ending. Then the final chorus and the first verse And before that Edge had Never Gonna Stop by Rob Zombie. He had the other theme that repeated you think you know me in the very beginning before joining the Brood then used it with Christian after they left Gangrel. Then again for the E&C tag run and his singles time before the neck injury. When he came back he had the Rob Zombie Theme
You were talking about a " guess the wrestler theme music quiz" type idea, seeing as your wrestling fans. I think that would be a great idea! You could get fellow trash talkers submit either the song or the wrestlers theme. Now here lies the question: what era/eras are you guys more famous with? Hogan era, Attitude Era, Ruthless Agression era, current era? Do you watch other wrestling federations aside from WWE, like AEW or Impact?
The only real reason people hated on Creed was because of Scott Stapp's bullshit, otherwise, as proven with a much better singer in Myles Kennedy, the boys of Creed could bring it. Even Tremonti's solo album had bangers.
This is about the era RA came out. Has that same style of sound. Man the late 90s to early 2000s was the time of nu metal but 2002 to I want to say 07 this style was all over the radio. At least in my area. We had an alternative rock station in our area 104.1 and the had 104fest. It was a lighter version of mayhem festival and ozfest. I only went to one because most of the bands I didn't like. We also had another station that was king, 106.9 WCCC! was top radio station for 35+ years. Independent station that used to smoke corporate but sadly they sold to corporate and is now a Christian inspirational station........ my state has absolutely no metal on the radio anymore. I don't think you understand how big WCCC was. They drove H1 hummers everywhere and did public events almost daily. They even took over a gas station and had all gas prices at 106.9 when gas was about 2 bucks. My 79 firebird was on that events site.
A common mistake is to listen Blackbird and think that Alter Bridge is a soft rock band, but they can do everything. Please check Cry Of Achilles!! (Lyric version).
funny enough apprently the name is a combination of metal and cunnilingus. Meaning the feeling you get when you listen to metal and feel like you can conquer the world according to the band haha.
I remember when Edge returned at the 2020 Royal Rumble and I lost my mind... Then I watched when Edge showed up in AEW at Wrestledream and I lost my mind again because I had no idea Edge left WWE! 😂 I gotta say though, Alter Bridge's first four albums are fantastic! I don't hate Alter Bridge's latest stuff but for me it doesn't quite live up to their earlier albums. I'd also recommend checking out Mark Tremonti's solo stuff too! He's Alter Bridge's lead guitarist and his solo band is called Tremonti where he's the lead singer and I'd argue his solo stuff is on par with Alter Bridge!
Since you guys did Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids, you gotta react to Bathory Aria from Cradle of Filth. It’s from the same album and just another masterpiece!! Cheers 🥂
Alter Bridge gets a lot of hate, but their amazing. Especially Tremonti (Lead Guitarist) and Miles Kennedy (Vocalist, Rythem Guitarist). Here's a list of banger songs from them: Blackbird, Isolation, Cry Of Achilles, Writing On The Wall, Ghost of Days Gone By, Watch Over You, My Champion, Before Tomorrow Comes, I Know It Hurts, Fortress, Wouldn't You Rather, Open Your Eyes.
They don’t. None of the stereotypical ‘douchy trappings’ (ie shallow lyrics about controlling women; or feeling sorry for yourself etc, or attitude, or clothing choices and accessories…), and they are extremely diverse musically, which is their first priority. They are top rate musicians who are constantly striving to evolve their play and explore new styles album to album. Fantastic and musically interesting band!
He’s right… it’s EDGE 🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻 Ironically, enough, the bassist, the guitarist, and the drummer are from the band Creed. Myles Kennedy, the singer is the only member who was not a part of that former group. #FYI
Let’s be honest, the song is awesome but our wrestling hearts just can’t wait till the ending with the hard riffs and drums begins to hit because that’s edge intro right before he enters🤘🏽
saw then in feb 2023 and they were great. thank goodness they dont play any creed songs. i cant stand creed and the reason it took me till 2013 to even listen to an alter bridge song

Alter Bridge is 3/4 of Creed but with Myles Kennedy as singer and they go so hard! Mark Tremonti is the guitarist, and he's incredible!
Yup - but Myles also plays lead and rhythm guitars and writes half the songs! They have 3/4 former Creed members, but are far more complex musically- especially after their first album which this was from - and I just can’t get enough!

It was amazing in person. I sat next to the walk way near the entrance. I've been to every royal rumble since 2005 except 2021.
By far one of the best royal rumble returns imo.
Mark Tremonti is one of the most underrated guitarist ever, so great when he gets to fully unleash!
This band is one of the few that sounds just as good live!
They sound BETTER live. Good example is listening to the studio version of Words Darker Than Their Wings and comparing it to the live version from Royal Albert Hall.
Just heard them live last night in Milwaukee, they definitely do🔥 they killed it
A lot of Alter Bridge is amazing. Been jamming to these guys for a long time.
EDGE loves Alter Bridge too because he has chosen another entrance song for himself by Alter Bridge and it's called 'The Other Side' give that a try too.
He's legitimately friends with the lead singer Miles Kennedy
It's Edge!!!
Edge rules
Crazy to think this song and album is nearly 20 years old already. Still sounds fresh. Mark "Tremonster" Tremonti is a fantastic riff and song writer.
Man, I was singing this (as the Edge theme) to me like yesterday! What are the chances 🤣Now imma see what the lyrics are about. Just perfect.
