Good vid, clear and concise tip. May I suggest (from cleaning mistakes I learned the hard way): Always wear latex gloves, wear eye protection, buy an apron, buy a set of brass brushes and clean them off during and after use, buy a bore brush-cuts down cleaning time in half. Your eyes, hands and clothes will thank you for doing this.
This is good but the out of frame shots that don't show what you're cleaning is bad. Mic is bad. Too faint. Had to crank up the volume. However, this was great that you talked through each piece of cleaning. Thanks for the time to walk through this.
This is a great video but the side view shots dont show what you're doing completely. As i watch it i feel like im missing some valuable information. The over head shots are perfect. I'm looking forward to the next video illustrating the TOTAL TAKE DOWN of the Sig Sauer SP2022 and magazine.
Great pistol that I was lucky enough to get brand-new for a steal, and it came with a $60 holster too. But those SIG magazines are thumb-killers! I need me some gloves.
Not bad but whats up with the ill timed camera angle swaps? Keep the vertical camera only cause the side angle cam wasn't doing the video justice at all.
Six Pack minus two Yes, you should run a lightly oiled pad through the barrel. A light coat will protect the inside from any moisture damage. The rifling grooves can be the most susceptible.
Only thing I would add and say, is that first off.. The gun cleaner getting into the "firing pin" area, really shouldn't be an issue.. It'll work it's way out if anything gets in there, an may even help clean a little dirt out. Not like you are going to use the gun immediately. The oil I would definitely try an keep out of the firing pin.. It's true about the oil attracting dirt, an definitely don't need to put an excessive amount. Especially around the trigger and hammer springs. However the slide and guide rail / main spring do take allot of wear, an I usually use a little bit of oil. So it doesn't run rough or dry.. But the other thing I was going to point out, is that I usually use a "nylon / poly bore brush." Rather then the brass brushes, which tend to scratch up the metal more. An are really only needed or recommended from what I've seen and read over the years. When there's excessive build up or corrosion in the barrel. An then idk if it really matters or not, but with the brass brushes. People will start from the inside end, as he did. But will rotate the brush with the twist of the rifling, while pushing it through and pulling it out.. Good video guide though, an although very much so simple enough. Had been a minute and I'd rather check to make sure I remember an know what I'm doing. Before pulling around and popping pins out of the gun, to take the thing apart lol.
Best video I’ve seen online for takedown and more. Thank you !! If you guys had a good mic or better sound, the views would have been 5x the number imo. Thanks you guys !!!!
Can you do one of these for the Sig Sauer p239? I'm a die hard fan of Gunslinger Girl, and that's the sidearm for one of the main characters, Henrietta
Jesse Rinaldi Don't forget the anime 'Noir', with two female assasins and the SP2009! Also Gunslinger Girl featured German-Made P229's a bunch of times, with the curved trigger-guard and no rail-system alot!!
Servius Terentius the tricky part is getting it back together without getting a jammed slide. Yep, despite years with pistols, on my third time putting it back together I slid it too far back before putting the slide stop pin in. 😂 That sucker was hung up on the hammer. It took two of us to muster the strength and pulling down on the hammer enough to wrench it free!
@@NOLAgenX Agreed, after messing with Glocks and 1911s for years I also found it tricky. Have to hand it to Glock, who designed the simplest take-down and reassembly ever.
So I just got this gun with my bday money. I notice this gun comes in two colors black, and flat dark Earth . Well long story short found a brand new one on gun broker and it's in ghost color. I did a little video so see if anyone seen it in that color, and it's not custom I seen it on a different website but it's been sold out for a while. I guess I got lucky on this rare find.🤷🏿♂️ Great video for a under rated gun!

By far the best and simplest review on this firearm on RUclips
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
This is the most comprehensive cleaning video I've seen on the SP2022, Great Job!
why is the slide pin sticking out so far out of the frame on the opposite side? That is going to tear some clothing or holster.
Thank you now for showing my how to cling my 2022
Price has gone up on this model. Lowest in June 2019 I could find was just about $500 on the plain model. Still worth the money though!

holy crap after searching you answered my 1 question "lanyard" hole! ty!
Glad we could help!
Excellent, professional rundown.
Great demo, will watch again!!
What a Great Video to watch after going to the range after watching Rob Leatham's 'Aiming is Useless' Video before going to the range.
I still use Break-Free CLP from Safariland though, after I use Hoppe's 9 nitro solvent for the bore.

Agree, no need to cut to a different angle at the most crucial moment.
This video was great! Thanks for making it, the process was very easy to follow.

I love this piece!
Where can I get cleaning supplies like this items u used new gun owner here bought one of these exact gun
Thank you!
A superb video. Nothing left to question in my opinion.
Brass IS softer than steel. Having said that, one should ALWAYS clean barrels from the breach end whenever possible.
Can you please tell me if that slide stop can somehow be reversed to the right side of the pistol?
Why do I have a difficult time pushing the take down pin out? I have to use something metal to push it as it is so hard to pop out.
Not bad but whats up with the ill timed camera angle swaps? Keep the vertical camera only cause the side angle cam wasn't doing the video justice at all.
I stopped watching 2 min in becasue it swapped angles not showing what it was supposed to like if there was a bullet in or not after the mag release
I just got my first 2022. I absolutely love it. Paid 648 out the door for a new pistol with a few extras.
Do you recommend oiling inside of barrel? First time gun owner here.
Six Pack minus two Yes, you should run a lightly oiled pad through the barrel. A light coat will protect the inside from any moisture damage. The rifling grooves can be the most susceptible.
Do you have to to do this the first time you get the gun. In other words, when its brand new
Thank you

Really need to work on your camera angles. Have the stuff you tried to show was obscured.
I definitely agree, although I do feel that he’s much more thorough than others
Its been a great gun so far, but, it's a bit much for conceal carry, like wearing a brick.
Is there a kit to convert 9mm to 40 caliber?
Best video I’ve seen online for takedown and more. Thank you !! If you guys had a good mic or better sound, the views would have been 5x the number imo. Thanks you guys !!!!
I love it

We'll work on it!
Urban Carry Holsters Thanks! That anime is amazing! Really good music and story. Hope someone checks it out! :)

I have no idea why everyone thinks it's so difficult to take the piece apart. It's just a matter of technique.

fullmetal25 I just picked mine up last Friday. I managed to find one in ghost grey with black grip and slide. I love the look
You forgot about the sig 357 SP 2022
nooks and crannies
Poor video. Can't see critical images because of camera angle and hands blocking the view. Sound is pathetic.
You need to work on camera angles better ! You do not show what you need to show !
It’s a pro piece of shit
