Great video, Just want to mention to every one I have found that if you put the hammer in the half cocked position when the slid touches the hammer the take down notches a lined up.
This video is still useful 3 years later. Just picked mine up yesterday and put rounds through it today for the first time and I'm about to clean it! Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much for making this video. I found it helpful and informative without overwhelming me with information I did not need. I also like the low-key matter-of-fact style.
I just bought one of these bad boys yesterday. The factory doesn't seem to oil the slide, so it's a probably good idea to proactively lubricate key components before firing a round. Very impressed with the overall quality, and specifically the internal rail system on the slide. I wonder why more brands aren't using this type of construction; perhaps CZ has the patent? Anyway, thanks for the helpful video, @Skull Crush Inc. +1 Like
How often do you recommend cleaning the P-01? Also, would you recommend cleaning and lubricating before using for the first time? I just bought one recently and taking to the range next week, thx for the awesome detailed video 👍
Yes, clean when new to get the factory grease out of it. Clean after every use, regardless of round count. This will make sure it’s always 100% good to go at anytime.
First time gun owner here! I have Hoppe's bore cleaner and a bottle of Hoppe's lubricating oil. I do not have any CLP. I noticed you used the CLP to clean the inside of the barrel(bore). If I get some CLP, should I use it to clean the whole gun like you did and then use the bore cleaner for the bore? Silly question, I know. I appreciate it!
You can clean everything with CLP. Bore cleaner is for the bore. You can use bore cleaner if that’s what you have. Just use the lubricant to go back and lube the dry metal surfaces and friction areas. Just try to not leak any fluids into that hole on the breach face (where the firing pin comes out to strike the primer).
Okay gotcha. Thank you fo rthe information! I'm looking to get some CLP. I like how its a "combination". This video has helped me a ton! Thank you sir. @@SkullCrushInc
I have reman rounds that are failing to chamber.. the slide gets stuck and the road will not sit. I did a barrel check with the gun disassembled and rounds seem to be fine in length. Any ideas on what the issue is? Would cleaning resolve?
I got the pin out, but the slide is still catching and won't slide off the front. Is there a catch you're pressing with your thumb to get the slide off? Thanks.
I hope you can give an opinion on this, or anyone else that can chime in. I bought a CZ75 Compact and a CZ75 P-01. Both are great guns. My issue is with the plastic guide rod. It seems to be cheapish. It is getting marred up with some deep scrapes and such. I have ordered two SS guide rods for these guns from NDZ. Was / is this a good move ???
My Slide Stop absolutely refuses to budge, it's just COMPLETELY stuck. It takes the force of my entire hand to drop the slide, is there something going on with my P01 Omega?
That’s just the way CZ does it. Not sure if there is a good reason for it or maybe they just wanted to save a little money on the finish. Either way, it’s still a very good pistol.

Excellent video!! Very well done and informative. I learned better ways to clean my CZ and mistakes I had been making to it. Thanks very much!

If you decock it and move the slide back till it touches the hammer, the two lines lignup perfectly.
Great Video.Would you mind sharing where you purchased your Grips? Thk you.
Great video buddy , you did good job. I love my czpo1
Thanks bro!

Do you guys make holsters for the IWI Masada?
Not yet sir. Hopefully very soon. The IWI Masada is fantastic.
Nice gun
Thank Man much appreciated
Very helpful thanks so much!
Well done
We only need to wipe off clp with a cloth the parts exposed to the outside right? The rest should have a thin coat of clp for lube?
Yes.
those are sone great grips, where did you get them? Thanks
The link is in the show notes.
Thanks for the posting,
Thank you!
Great video! What grips are those?

Great video. Concise and to the point. Thank you very much.
Great video Thanks! What kind of magazine are you using? The stock ones are hella stiff and hard to load.
I use stock mags. If they’re hard to load, use a mag loader.
Do you need to do this when you first get your gun?
I do, but it will be fine as long as you clean after every use.
My double action is smooth but my single action is gritty, any advice?
Clean all moving parts thoroughly and see how it goes. It shouldn’t be gritty.
@@SkullCrushInc thanks I'll give it a shot

Try cleaning and use a different type of ammo. If it still has issues, sent it back to CZ. They’ll get it fixed.
How often should you clean? Some have told me after each use, others don't. Great video.
Clean after every use to keep it in perfect operating condition.
Very nice looking grips, care to share where you picked them up ?
Yes, here’s the Amazon link: amzn.to/3FEHOrn

I got the pin out, but the slide is still catching and won't slide off the front. Is there a catch you're pressing with your thumb to get the slide off?
Thanks.
Make sure you pull the trigger to get the hammer forward first.
Thank you for the video, is the recoil spring guide rod polymer?
The stock one is, you can also buy an all-metal one from CGW if thats an issue for you

I never had a problem with my plastic guide rod but there’s nothing wrong with upgrading to metal.
@@SkullCrushInc Thank you for your reply. My plastic guide rods are really getting buggered up. I will try the ss rods.
My Slide Stop absolutely refuses to budge, it's just COMPLETELY stuck. It takes the force of my entire hand to drop the slide, is there something going on with my P01 Omega?
Hard to diagnose without seeing it. Probably need to take it by your local gun store and have them take a look.
What are the grips on your gun?
G10 grips: amzn.to/45BVvBI
TY, Is that grip rubber? if so where did u get it?
It’s G10 grips. Here’s the link: amzn.to/3IxCrIN
Which sights are those?
Standard stock sights.
@@SkullCrushInc Really? Every other P01 I've seen has more of a ramp shaped rear sight that extends all the way to the rear of the slide.
If you set the gun at half-cock, the slide automatically stops at the matching lines, slide removal position.
Why is the frame inside all white mine is like that also
That’s just the way CZ does it. Not sure if there is a good reason for it or maybe they just wanted to save a little money on the finish. Either way, it’s still a very good pistol.
I wish CZ would move the take down marks to the right side.
didn't he say the brush was a 357? Isn't this a 9mm?
.357, .380, 38, 9mm are same diameter.
watching this video is similar to staring into the sun
