On our first trip back to the US since pre-nasties, we visited the Nashville Parthenon museum in Centennial Park, Nashville, Tennessee. The building was purpose built for the centennial as a full-scale replica of the Athens Greek Parthenon. A more recent addition is the spectacular Athena statue which is the centrepiece of the museum, but you can also learn about the centennial and the other buildings through a series of picture galleries and information placards. There is a also art galleries and the Parthenon is set in a fantastic surroundings of Centennial Park.

Here we are in Nashville 2022. It's been three years since we've been over here
So, looking forward to this - it's the first day, so as per usual we were up at the well, before the crack of dawn
We're staying just a couple of...well literally a mile or two from the Nashville Airport just down in that direction, and we're staying here at the Best Western. It's a nice little hotel, there's good reviews on TripAdvisor. That's why we picked this one.
But it was a long day traveling yesterday. Slept quite easily, could have slept on a chicken's lip last night - so tired!
So this morning we're going to head into Nashville - do a couple of sights.
A couple of things I want to do with regarding Elvis and The Everly Brothers there, and a few sites we haven't been to before so let's go. Morning! We're in Centennial Park here in Nashville,
created for the Centennial and also created for that occasion was what's behind us here, the Parthenon - an exact replica of Parthenon in Greece, so that's not something we plan on seeing when we come to Nashville really It's very ornate isn't it?
Something we haven't done before so we're going to take a look, see what it's like, see what's in there.
This Parthenon is in slightly better condition than the one in Greece.
'Admission was 50 cents for adults 25 cents for children'
Except for special days when it was 25 cents for adults too'
Venice's Rialto Bridge - it was a replica.
A lot went in went into the Centennial.
So these are some of the galleries within the Museum of the Parthenon - it's a museum. 10 dollars to get in, it's not bad these days.
    Valley In Winter
That looks like Paddington Bear. Blue coat and his red hat.
    That's a 'wow' moment.
    So that's Athena
A little monument here for the....
Tennessee Woman Suffrage Monument. 'The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall
not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex'
    19th Amendment
Vanderbilt University is just just back down there. Lake Watauga
    It was worth 10 dollars
Alright, 10 dollars, 8 dollars for seniors
    62 plus, yay!
The park itself is nice as well The statue - that suffrage statue and that Lake Watauga
So anyway so that was fun. We'll head downtown Nashville now shopping, coffee, something to eat, Museums Culture! Culture! That's what we're here for - the culture.

This is a pretty random attraction. Not something you would expect to see in Nashville at all. But I suppose it is a pretty cool attraction for those of us who are unlikely to visit Greece and see the remains of the real Parthenon any time soon. Thanks for taking us along on this tour!

Hi. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍. Yes, pretty random! Been to Nashville a handful of times mainly for the music history, but curiosity got the better of us - it was quite fascinating.
